Near-critical Ornstein--Zernike theory for the planar random-cluster model

We develop an Ornstein--Zernike theory for the two-dimensional random-cluster model with $1 \leq q <4$ that also applies in its near-critical regime. In particular, we prove an asymptotic formula for the two-point function which holds uniformly for~$p < p_c$ and blends the subcritical and near-critical behaviours of the model. The analysis is carried out by studying the renewal properties of a subcritical percolation cluster, \emph{at the scale of the correlation length}. More precisely, we explore sequentially the cluster in a given direction, by slices of thickness comparable to the correlation length. We show that this exploration satisfies the properties of a {\em killed Markov renewal process} -- a class of processes that may be analysed independently and have Brownian behaviour. In addition to the two-point function estimate, we derive other consequences of the Ornstein--Zernike theory such as an invariance principle for the rescaled cluster and the strict convexity of the inverse correlation length -- all at the scale of the correlation length, uniformly in~$p<p_c$. Finally, our approach differs from that of earlier papers of Campanino, Ioffe, Velenik and others, with the cluster being dynamically explored rather than constructed from its diamond decomposition.

Entropic repulsion and scaling limit for a finite number of non-intersecting subcritical FK interfaces

This article is devoted to the study of a finite system of long clusters of subcritical 2-dimensional FK-percolation with q $\geq$ 1, conditioned on mutual avoidance. We show that the diffusive scaling limit of such a system is given by a system of Brownian bridges conditioned not to intersect: the so-called Brownian watermelon. Moreover, we give an estimate of the probability that two sets of $r$ points at distance $n$ of each other are connected by distinct clusters. As a byproduct, we obtain the asymptotics of the probability of the occurrence of a large finite cluster in a supercritical random-cluster model.

Uniform analyticity of local observables in FK-percolation and analyticity of the Ising spontaneous magnetisation

We prove that, in the FK-percolation model, the probabilities of local events are uniformly analytic in the percolation parameter $p$ under suitable mixing assumptions on the measure, and satisfy a uniform exponential growth bound. This result allows us to prove that the magnetisation of the Potts model is analytic in a suitable range of parameters, including the Ising case in all dimensions $d \geq 3$ in the whole supercritical regime. We also provide a proof of the analyticity of the susceptibility of the Potts model with $q$ colours, for any $q \geq 2$ in the whole subcritical interval. Finally, we prove the analyticity of various quantities in the FK-percolation measure, including the multi-point and truncated multi-point connectivity probabilities.

Free energy analyticity of the disordered XY model and Debye screening in the 2D Coulomb gas

We consider three models of statistical mechanics: the classical XY model in arbitrary dimension, the lattice Coulomb gas in dimension two, and the square well model in arbitrary dimension. For each of these three models, we prove that the free energy is analytic in the disordered regime (the square well model is disordered at any positive temperature). In order to prove these results, we prove that the Gibbs measures of these models are factors of i.i.d. with information clusters of exponentially decaying size (volume). In the case of the Coulomb gas, we obtain a strong version of Debye screening with an arbitrary number of arbitrary local observables of the Coulomb gas, and we prove that the Debye phase contains the complement of the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless phase.

Exact cube-root fluctuations in an area-constrained random walk model

This article is devoted to the study of the behaviour of a (1+1)-dimensional model of random walk conditioned to enclose an area of order $N^2$. Such a conditioning enforces a globally concave trajectory. We study the local deviations of the walk from its convex hull. To this end, we introduce two quantities -- the mean facet length $\mathsf{MeanFL}$ and the mean local roughness $\mathsf{MeanLR}$ -- measuring the typical longitudinal and transversal fluctuations around the boundary of the convex hull of the random walk. Our main result is that $\mathsf{MeanFL}$ is of order $N^{2/3}$ and $\mathsf{MeanLR}$ is of order $N^{1/3}$. Moreover, following the strategy of Hammond (Ann. Prob., 2012), we identify the polylogarithmic corrections in the scaling of the maximal facet length and of the maximal local roughness, showing that the former one scales as $N^{2/3}(\log N)^{1/3}$, while the latter scales as $N^{1/3}(\log N)^{2/3}$. The object of study is intended to be a toy model for the interface of a two-dimensional statistical mechanics model (such as the Ising model) in the phase separation regime -- we discuss this issue at the end of this work.
