Cesàro-Hardy operators on $L^p[0,1]$: fine spectrum, weighted Koopman semigroups and invariant subspaces

In this paper we study boundedness and detailed spectral properties for the Cesàro-Hardy operator and some generalizations in $L^p[0,1]$. The study employs $C_0$-semigroup theory, expressing the Cesàro-Hardy operators and their dual operators through subordination with $C_0$-semigroups $T(t)$ and $S(t)$ respectively. The spectral properties of the semigroup's infinitesimal generators are transferred to the Cesàro-Hardy operators using functional calculus methods. Furthermore, some implications for the Invariant Subspace Problem are explored by demonstrating the universality of certain translations related to the semigroup $T(t)$, and providing results on the invariant subspaces of these operators.

Asymptotic behavior of the fundamental solution of space-time fractional equations with a reaction term

In this paper, we consider a space-time fractional partial differential equation with a reactive term. We describe the speed of invasion of its fundamental solution, extending recent results in this topic, which had been proved for the one dimensional spatial setting and some fractional parameters involved in the equation. The key tool to achieve these results in a wide range of cases (any spatial dimension, any time and spatial fractional differential parameters, and any polynomial speed of invasion) is the subordination.

Universality arising from invertible weighted composition operators

A linear operator $U$ acting boundedly on an infinite-dimensional separable complex Hilbert space $H$ is universal if every linear bounded operator acting on $H$ is similar to a scalar multiple of a restriction of $U$ to one of its invariant subspaces. It turns out that characterizing the lattice of closed invariant subspaces of a universal operator is equivalent to solve the Invariant Subspace Problem for Hilbert spaces. In this paper, we consider invertible weighted hyperbolic composition operators and we prove the universality of the translations by eigenvalues of such operators, acting on Hardy and weighted Bergman spaces. Some consequences for the Banach space case are also discussed.

Non-local fractional derivatives. Discrete and continuous

We prove maximum and comparison principles for fractional discrete derivatives in the integers. Regularity results when the space is a mesh of length $h$, and approximation theorems to the continuous fractional derivatives are shown. When the functions are good enough, these approximation procedures give a measure of the order of approximation. These results also allows us to prove the coincidence, for good enough functions, of the Marchaud and Grünwald-Letnikov derivatives in every point and the speed of convergence to the Grünwald-Letnikov derivative. The fractional discrete derivative will be also described as a Neumann-Dirichlet operator defined by a semi-discrete extension problem. Some operators related to the Harmonic Analysis associated to the discrete derivative will be also considered, in particular their behavior in the Lebesgue spaces $\ell^p(\mathbb{Z}).$
