Reflection Maps Associated with Involutions and Factorization Problems, and Their Poisson Geometry

The study of the set-theoretic solutions of the reflection equation, also known as reflection maps, is closely related to that of the Yang-Baxter maps. In this work, we construct reflection maps on various geometrical objects, associated with factorization problems on rational loop groups and involutions. We show that such reflection maps are smoothly conjugate to the composite of permutation maps, with corresponding reduced Yang-Baxter maps. In the case when the reduced Yang-Baxter maps are independent of parameters, the latter are just braiding operators. We also study the symplectic and Poisson geometry of such reflection maps. In a special case, the factorization problems are associated with the collision of N-solitons of the n-Manakov system with a boundary, and in this context the N-body polarization reflection map is a symplectomorphism.

On the open Toda chain with external forcing

We consider the open Toda chain with external forcing, and in the case when the forcing stretches the system, we derive the longtime behavior of solutions of the chain. Using an observation of Jürgen Moser, we then show that the system is completely integrable, in the sense that the $2N$-dimensional system has $N$ functionally independent Poisson commuting integrals, and also has a Lax-Pair formulation. In addition, we construct action-angle variables for the flow. In the case when the forcing compresses the system, the analysis of the flow remains open.

The periodic defocusing Ablowitz-Ladik equation and the geometry of Floquet CMV matrices

In this work, we show that the periodic defocusing Ablowitz-Ladik equation can be expressed as an isospectral deformation of Floquet CMV matrices. We then introduce a Poisson Lie group whose underlying group is a loop group and show that the set of Floquet CMV matrices is a Coxeter dressing orbit of this Poisson Lie group. By using the group-theoretic framework, we establish the Liouville integrability of the equation by constructing action-angle variables, we also solve the Hamiltonian equations generated by the commuting flows via Riemann-Hilbert factorization problems.

The beta-Hermite and beta-Laguerre processes

In this work, we introduce matrix-valued diffusion processes which describe the non-equilibrium situation of the matrix models for the beta-Hermite and the beta-Laguerre ensembles. We also study the corresponding spectral measure process and empirical/singular value process with regard to their limit laws.

A Class of integrable Spin Calogero-Moser systems II: Exact Solvability

In a previous paper, we introduce a class of integrable spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with the classical dynamical r-matrices with spectral parameter. Here the main purpose is to give explicit solutions of several factorization problems associated with infinite dimensional Lie groupoids which will allow us to write down the solutions of these integrable models.

The complete integrability of a Lie-Poisson system proposed by Bloch and Iserles

We establish the Liouville integrability of the differential equation $\dot S(t)= [N,S^2(t)],$ recently considered by Bloch and Iserles. Here, $N$ is a real, fixed, skew-symmetric matrix and $S$ is real symmetric. The equation is realized as a Hamiltonian vector field on a coadjoint orbit of a loop group, and sufficiently many commuting integrals are presented, together with a solution formula for their related flows in terms of a Riemann-Hilbert factorization problem. We also answer a question raised by Bloch and Iserles, by realizing the same system on a coadjoint orbit of a finite dimensional Lie group.

Some Remarks on CMV Matrices and Dressing Orbits

The CMV matrices are the unitary analogs of Jacobi matrices. In the finite case, it is well-known that the set of Jacobi matrices with a fixed trace is nothing but a coadjoint orbit of the lower triangular group. In this note, we will give the analog of this result for the CMV matrices. En route, we also discuss the Hamiltonian formulation of the Lax equations for the defocusing Ablowitz-Ladik hierarchy.

Coboundary dynamical Poisson groupoids and integrable systems

In this paper, we present a general scheme to construct integrable systems based on realization in the coboundary dynamical Poisson groupoids of Etingof and Varchenko. We also present a factorization method for solving the Hamiltonian flows. To illustrate our scheme and factorization theory, we consider a family of hyperbolic spin Ruijsenaars-Schneider models related to affine Toda field theories and solve the equations of motion in a simple case.

A Family of Hyperbolic Spin Calogero-Moser Systems and the Spin Toda Lattices

In this paper, we continue to develop a general scheme to study a broad class of integrable systems naturally associated with the coboundary dynamical Lie algebroids. In particular, we present a factorization method for solving the Hamiltonian flows. We also present two important class of new examples, a family of hyperbolic spin Calogero-Moser systems and the spin Toda lattices. To illustrate our factorization theory, we show how to solve these Hamiltonian systems explicitly.

Poisson involutions, spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with symmetric Lie subalgebras and the symmetric space spin Ruijsenaars-Schneider models

We develop a general scheme to construct integrable systems starting from realizations in symmetric coboundary dynamical Lie algebroids and symmetric coboundary Poisson groupoids. The method is based on the successive use of Dirac reduction and Poisson reduction. Then we show that certain spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with symmetric Lie subalgebras can be studied in this fashion. We also consider some spin-generalized Ruisjenaars- Schneider equations which correspond to the $N$-soliton solutions of $A^{(1)}_n$ affine Toda field theory. In this case, we show how the equations are obtained from the Dirac reduction of some Hamiltonian system on a symmetric coboundary dynamical Poisson groupoid.

On Dynamical Poisson Groupoids I

We address the question of duality for the dynamical Poisson groupoids of Etingof and Varchenko over a contractible base. We also give an explicit description for the coboundary case associated with the solutions of the classical dynamical Yang-Baxter equation on simple Lie algebras as classified by the same authors. Our approach is based on the study of a class of Poisson structures on trivial Lie groupoids within the category of biequivariant Poisson manifolds. In the former case, it is shown that the dual Poisson groupoid of such a dynamical Poisson groupoid is isomorphic to a Poisson groupoid (with trivial Lie groupoid structure) within this category. In the latter case, we find that the dual Poisson groupoid is also of dynamical type modulo Poisson groupoid isomorphisms. For the coboundary dynamical Poisson groupoids associated with constant r- matrices, we give an explicit construction of the corresponding symplectic double groupoids. In this case, the symplectic leaves of the dynamical Poisson groupoid are shown to be the orbits of a Poisson Lie group action.

Integrable spin Calogero-Moser systems

We introduce spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with root systems of simple Lie algebras and give the associated Lax representations (with spectral parameter) and fundamental Poisson bracket relations. The associated integrable models (called integrable spin Calogero-Moser systems in the paper) and their Lax pairs are then obtained via Poisson reduction and gauge transformations. For Lie algebras of $A_{n}$-type, this new class of integrable systems includes the usual Calogero-Moser systems as subsystems. Our method is guided by a general framework which we develop here using dynamical Lie algebroids.

Spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with simple Lie algebras

We introduce spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with root systems of simple Lie algebras and give the associated Lax representations (with spectral parameter) and fundamental Poisson bracket relations. Our analysis is based on a group-theoretic framework similar in spirit to the standard classical $r$-matrix theory for constant $r$-matrices.
