Asymptotic behaviour of a porous medium equation with fractional diffusion

We consider a porous medium equation with nonlocal diffusion effects given by an inverse fractional Laplacian operator. In a previous paper we have found mass-preserving, nonnegative weak solutions of the equation satisfying energy estimates. The equation is posed in the whole space R^n. Here we establish the large-time behaviour. We first find selfsimilar nonnegative solutions by solving an elliptic obstacle problem with fractional Laplacian for the pair pressure-density, which we call obstacle Barenblatt solutions. The theory for elliptic fractional problems with obstacles has been recently established. We then use entropy methods to show that the asymptotic behavior of general finite-mass solutions is described after renormalization by these special solutions.

Regularity results for nonlocal equations by approximation

In this paper we prove a nonlocal version of the Cordes-Niremberg estimates. We use it to extend our previous regularity results for fully nonlinear integro-differential equations to the variable coefficient case and several other settings where the equation can be thought of as a perturbation of the translation invariant case.

Regularity theory for nonlinear integral operators

This article is dedicated to the proof of the existence of classical solutions for a class of non-linear integral variational problems. Those problems are involved in nonlocal image and signal processing.

The Evans-Krylov theorem for non local fully non linear equations

We prove an interior regularity result for solutions of a purely integro-differential Bellman equation. This regularity is enough for the solutions to be understood in the classical sense. If we let the order of the equation approach two, we recover the theorem of Evans and Krylov about the regularity of solutions to concave uniformly elliptic partial differential equations.

Regularity theory for fully nonlinear integro-differential equations

We consider nonlinear integro-differential equations, like the ones that arise from stochastic control problems with purely jump Lèvy processes. We obtain a nonlocal version of the ABP estimate, Harnack inequality, and interior $C^{1,α}$ regularity for general fully nonlinear integro-differential equations. Our estimates remain uniform as the degree of the equation approaches two, so they can be seen as a natural extension of the regularity theory for elliptic partial differential equations.

Regularity estimates for the solution and the free boundary to the obstacle problem for the fractional Laplacian

We use a characterization of the fractional Laplacian as a Dirichlet to Neumann operator for an appropriate differential equation to study its obstacle problem. We write an equivalent characterization as a thin obstacle problem. In this way we are able to apply local type arguments to obtain sharp regularity estimates for the solution and study the regularity of the free boundary.

An extension problem related to the fractional Laplacian

The operator square root of the Laplacian $(-\lap)^{1/2}$ can be obtained from the harmonic extension problem to the upper half space as the operator that maps the Dirichlet boundary condition to the Neumann condition. In this paper we obtain similar characterizations for general fractional powers of the Laplacian and other integro-differential operators. From those characterizations we derive some properties of these integro-differential equations from purely local arguments in the extension problems.
