Constrained integrability and anyonic chains

We review the notion of Yang-Baxter integrability for spin chains that have Hilbert spaces with constraints, such as a Rydberg blockade. We focus on anyonic chains, whose constraints arise from the fusion rules of the fusion categories on which they are based. We discuss the emergence of Temperley-Lieb algebras and present a new result on which types of anyonic chains exhibit them. We then give an overview of known results for integrable anyonic chains and extend them to several fusion categories up to rank $7$. Using a modification of the boost operator formalism, we find several new integrable anyonic chains and discuss some of their properties. These include spin-$\frac32$ models for $\mathfrak{su}(2)_k$ fusion categories, anyonic chains based on the Tambara-Yamagami fusion categories TY$(\mathbb{Z}_n)$, and product fusion categories Fib$\times$Fib and Fib$\times$Ising. We review recent results for spin chains based on the Haagerup-Izumi fusion category HI$(\mathbb{Z}_3)$, and present preliminary numerics for a HI$(\mathbb{Z}_5)$ model.

Temperley-Lieb integrable models and fusion categories

We show that every fusion category containing a non-invertible, self-dual object $a$ gives rise to an integrable anyonic chain whose Hamiltonian density satisfies the Temperley-Lieb algebra. This spin chain arises by considering the projection onto the identity channel in the fusion process $a\otimes a$. We relate these models to Pasquier's construction of ADE lattice models. We then exploit the underlying Temperley-Lieb structure to discuss the spectrum of these models and argue that these models are gapped when the quantum dimension of $a$ is greater than 2. We show that for fusion categories where the dimension is close to 2, such as the Fib$\times$Fib and Haagerup fusion categories, the finite size effects are large and they can obscure the numerical analysis of the gap.

Integrable and critical Haagerup spin chains

We construct the first integrable models based on the Haagerup fusion category $H_3$. We introduce a Haagerup version of the anyonic spin chain and use the boost operator formalism to identify two integrable Hamiltonians of PXP type on this chain. The first of these is an analogue of the golden chain; it has a topological symmetry based on $H_3$ and satisfies the Temperley-Lieb algebra with parameter $\delta=(3+\sqrt{13})/2$. We prove its integrability using a Lax formalism, and construct the corresponding solution to the Yang--Baxter equation. We present numerical evidence that this model is gapless with a dynamical critical exponent $z\neq 1$. The second integrable model we find breaks the topological symmetry. We present numerical evidence that this model reduces to a CFT in the large volume limit with central charge $c\sim3/2$.

Integrable models on Rydberg atom chains

We initiate a systematic study of integrable models for spin chains with constrained Hilbert spaces; we focus on spin-1/2 chains with the Rydberg constraint. We extend earlier results for medium-range spin chains to the constrained Hilbert space, and formulate an integrability condition. This enables us to construct new integrable models with fixed interaction ranges. We classify all time- and space-reflection symmetric integrable Rydberg-constrained Hamiltonians of range 3 and 4. At range 3, we find a single family of integrable Hamiltonians: the so-called RSOS quantum chains, which are related to the well-known RSOS models of Andrews, Baxter, and Forrester. At range 4 we find two families of models, the first of which is the constrained XXZ model. We also find a new family of models depending on a single coupling $z$. We provide evidence of two critical points related to the golden ratio $\phi$, at $z=\phi^{-1/2}$ and $z=\phi^{3/2}$. We also perform a partial classification of integrable Hamiltonians for range 5.

All regular $4 \times 4$ solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation

We complete the classification of $4\times 4$ regular solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. Apart from previously known models, we find four new models of non-difference form. All the new models give rise to Hamiltonians and transfer matrices that have a non-trivial Jordan block structure. One model corresponds to a non-diagonalisable integrable deformation of the XXX spin chain.

Yangian Ward Identities for Fishnet Four-Point Integrals

We derive and study Yangian Ward identities for the infinite class of four-point ladder integrals and their Basso-Dixon generalisations. These symmetry equations follow from interpreting the respective Feynman integrals as correlation functions in the bi-scalar fishnet theory. Alternatively, the presented identities can be understood as anomaly equations for a momentum space conformal symmetry. The Ward identities take the form of inhomogeneous extensions of the partial differential equations defining the Appell hypergeometric functions. We employ a manifestly conformal tensor reduction in order to express these inhomogeneities in compact form, which are given by linear combinations of Basso-Dixon integrals with shifted dimensions and propagator powers. The Ward identities naturally generalise to a one-parameter family of D-dimensional integrals representing correlators in the generalised fishnet theory of Kazakov and Olivucci. When specified to two spacetime dimensions, the Yangian Ward identities decouple. Using separation of variables, we explicitly bootstrap the solution for the conformal 2D box integral. The result is a linear combination of Yangian invariant products of Legendre functions, which reduce to elliptic K integrals for an isotropic choice of propagator powers. We comment on differences in the transcendentality patterns in two and four dimensions and their relations to discontinuities.

Combinatorial Solution of the Eclectic Spin Chain

The one-loop dilatation operator in the holomorphic 3-scalar sector of the dynamical fishnet theory is studied. Due to the non-unitary nature of the underlying field theory this operator, dubbed the eclectic spin chain Hamiltonian, is non-diagonalisable. The corresponding spectrum of Jordan blocks leads to logarithms in the two-point functions, which is characteristic of logarithmic conformal field theories. It was previously conjectured that for certain filling conditions and generic couplings the spectrum of the eclectic model is equivalent to the spectrum of a simpler model, the hypereclectic spin chain. We provide further evidence for this conjecture, and introduce a generating function which fully characterises the Jordan block spectrum of the simplified model. This function is found by purely combinatorial means and is simply related to the q-binomial coefficient.

Minkowski Box from Yangian Bootstrap

We extend the recently developed Yangian bootstrap for Feynman integrals to Minkowski space, focusing on the case of the one-loop box integral. The space of Yangian invariants is spanned by the Bloch-Wigner function and its discontinuities. Using only input from symmetries, we constrain the functional form of the box integral in all 64 kinematic regions up to twelve (out of a priori 256) undetermined constants. These need to be fixed by other means. We do this explicitly, employing two alternative methods. This results in a novel compact formula for the box integral valid in all kinematic regions of Minkowski space.

The Dual Conformal Box Integral in Minkowski Space

The dual conformal box integral in Minkowski space is not fully determined by the conformal invariants $z$ and $\bar{z}$. Depending on the kinematic region its value is on a 'branch' of the Bloch-Wigner function which occurs in the Euclidean case. Dual special conformal transformations in Minkowski space can change the kinematic region in such a way that the value of the integral jumps to another branch of this function, encoding a subtle breaking of dual conformal invariance for the integral. We classify conformally equivalent configurations of four points in compactified Minkowski space. We show that starting with any configuration, one can reach up to four branches of the integral using dual special conformal transformations. We also show that most configurations with real $z$ and $\bar{z}$ can be conformally mapped to a configuration in the same kinematic region with two points at infinity, where the box integral can be calculated directly in Minkowski space using only the residue theorem.
