Confinement-Tunable Synthetic Gauge Fields and Floquet Topological Phenomena in a Driven Quantum Wire Qubit

Theoretical analysis indicates that a spin qubit in a parabolic quantum wire, when driven by a bichromatic field, generates a confinement-tunable non-Abelian synthetic gauge field that gives rise to novel Floquet topological phenomena. In the low-confinement regime, the system exhibits topological Landau-Zener (LZ) transitions, chiral Landau-Zener-St$\ddot{u}$ckelberg-Majorana (LZSM) interference, and non-Abelian geometric phases around diabolical points. These features enable holonomic quantum computation, as well as unconventional Floquet Bloch oscillations and fractal spectra. In contrast, in the strong confinement regime, narrow avoided crossings significantly suppress cross-coupling, thereby insulating the qubit from multi-photon LZSM interference. Quantitative Floquet-Lindblad analysis shows that the optimized gate times, determined by the biharmonic driving period and non-Abelian parameter-space loops, are sufficiently short to surpass primary environmental decoherence channels. When applied to high-mobility $\text{GaAs/AlGaAs}$ core-shell nanowires, this approach converts spatial drives into robust non-Abelian gauge fields, positioning quantum wire systems as a versatile and scalable platform for fault-tolerant quantum information processing.

Magneto-electric cooling rate of a multiferroic antiferromagnetic quantum spin system: the cumulative influence of the site-dependent magnetic and electric fields

The magneto-electrocaloric effect which can be defined as the coupling between magnetocaloric and electrocaloric effects attracts currently considerable attention due to the advantages provided by the caloric effect in designing solid-state refrigeration technologies. The magneto-electrocaloric effect of a multiferroic antiferromagnetic spin system with the Dzyaloshinskii Moriya (DM) interaction is investigated in this paper. The DM interaction is assimilated to a coupling between an external site-dependent electric field and a local electric polarization. The external magnetic is also considered as a site-dependent magnetic field. The spin-wave theory is used as a diagonalization method and through the canonical partition function, some thermodynamic properties such as the Boltzmann entropy and the specific heat capacity are obtained. Then, the adiabatic magnetic, electric, and magnetoelectric cooling rates are also derived. The graphs obtained for the adiabatic magnetic, electric, and magnetoelectric cooling rate show a characteristic behavior of the caloric or multi-caloric effect which is in good agreement with some experimental and theoretical works. Besides, the entropy response due to the variation of the external site-dependent magnetic field exhibits two anomalous entropy peaks indicating the existence of an intermediate phase tuneable by the magnetic and electric site-dependent parameters. Overall, it is demonstrated that the cumulative influence of the site-dependent magnetic and electric fields allows us not only to reveal quantum critical points hidden in a multiferroic quantum spin system but also to control the caloric or multi-caloric effect essential in the construction of solid-state refrigeration devices.

Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions effects on the entanglement dynamics of a two qubit xxz spin system in non-Markovian environment

We investigate the exact entanglement dynamics of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXZ chain with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions, interacting with an anisotropic spin bath in thermal equi- librium at a temperature T, driven by an external magnetic field B along the z-axis. We establish that, for an initially entangled qubit pair, the DM interactions generate entanglement and enhance the entanglement in the revival region. The effects of the DM interaction are also seen to be very important at high temperatures and for weak coupling between the two qubits where it is seen to preserve entanglement. These effects are weakened when the magnetic field B and the Heisenberg coupling are switched on. If the two-qubits are prepared in an initially separable state, the DM in- teraction instead has a negative effect on their entanglement. On a whole entanglement can better be preserve in the spin chain even at high temperatures by increases the external magnetic field B and the Heisenberg couplings, and by tuning the strength of the DM interaction.
