SalQ-VLM: Fine-Grained Saliency-Guided Quantization for Vision-Language Models

Large language models (LLMs) have demonstrated remarkable capabilities across diverse language tasks, motivating their extension to vision-language models (VLMs) for multimodal understanding. However, billion-parameter VLMs incur substantial memory and computational costs that hinder deployment in resource-constrained settings. Post-training quantization (PTQ) compresses models and accelerates inference without retraining, yet remains underexplored for VLMs. We identify two intrinsic VLM activation properties in PTQ: (1) visual over-representation, where vision tokens are excessive and often redundant, and (2) the modality gap separating text and vision tokens in the latent feature space. Prior methods largely overlook these properties, leading to quantization performance degradation. To address this mismatch, we propose SalQ-VLM, an importance-aware PTQ framework that prioritizes salient tokens and suppresses redundant vision tokens during calibration. We derive a gradient-driven importance factor that captures token-level importance variance and is theoretically grounded in the relationship among loss perturbation, activation errors, and output gradients. SalQ-VLM obtains this factor through a single lightweight block-wise gradient-caching pass and incorporates it into the layer-wise reconstruction objective. Because SalQ-VLM modifies only calibration, it adds no inference-time operations and remains compatible with existing high-performance kernels. Extensive evaluations across benchmarks and backbones show that SalQ-VLM consistently outperforms strong PTQ baselines, especially under ultra-low-bit quantization. Notably, it improves MME-RealWorld accuracy by 16.45% under INT2g128 quantization.

Omni-LiveAvatar: Minute-Level Real-Time Streaming Joint Audio-Video Avatar Generation

Joint audio-video generative models serve as foundation for immersive and interactive digital-human generation. Nevertheless, most existing models rely on bidirectional attention and multi-step denoising and can generate only short clips, making them unsuitable for real-time interaction over extended durations. We present Omni-LiveAvatar, the first framework for minute-level, real-time streaming joint audio-video avatar generation. Specifically, we propose (1) a progressive autoregressive distillation pipeline that transfers a large bidirectional joint audio-video diffusion model into a few-step autoregressive generator without auxiliary stabilization mechanisms; (2) a synchronized audio-video long-short-term memory that preserves global consistency under a bounded memory budget; and (3) a hierarchical rolling prompt planning strategy that enables coherent semantic evolution and seamless prompt transitions. Extensive experiments show that Omni-LiveAvatar generates high-quality, synchronized minute-level avatars in real time. In terms of speed, it achieves a 33$\times$ generation speedup over its teacher, LTX-2, on a single NVIDIA H200 GPU; in terms of generation quality, it outperforms accelerated baselines across visual quality, audio quality, cross-modal synchronization, and human fidelity. Flash-VAED: Plug-and-Play VAE Decoders for Efficient Video Generation

Latent diffusion models have enabled high-quality video synthesis, yet their inference remains costly and time-consuming. As diffusion transformers become increasingly efficient, the latency bottleneck inevitably shifts to VAE decoders. To reduce their latency while maintaining quality, we propose a universal acceleration framework for VAE decoders that preserves full alignment with the original latent distribution. Specifically, we propose (1) an independence-aware channel pruning method to effectively mitigate severe channel redundancy, and (2) a stage-wise dominant operator optimization strategy to address the high inference cost of the widely used causal 3D convolutions in VAE decoders. Based on these innovations, we construct a Flash-VAED family. Moreover, we design a three-phase dynamic distillation framework that efficiently transfers the capabilities of the original VAE decoder to Flash-VAED. Extensive experiments on Wan and LTX-Video VAE decoders demonstrate that our method outperforms baselines in both quality and speed, achieving approximately a 6$\times$ speedup while maintaining the reconstruction performance up to 96.9%. Notably, Flash-VAED accelerates the end-to-end generation pipeline by up to 36% with negligible quality drops on VBench-2.0. Our code is available at https://github.com/Aoko955/Flash-VAED.

Real-Time Human Frontal View Synthesis from a Single Image

Photorealistic human novel view synthesis from a single image is crucial for democratizing immersive 3D telepresence, eliminating the need for complex multi-camera setups. However, current rendering-centric methods prioritize visual fidelity over explicit geometric understanding and struggle with intricate regions like faces and hands, leading to temporal instability. Meanwhile, human-centric frameworks suffer from memory bottlenecks since they typically rely on an auxiliary model to provide informative structural priors for geometric modeling, which limits real-time performance. To address these challenges, we propose PrismMirror, a geometry-guided framework for instant frontal view synthesis from a single image. By avoiding external geometric modeling and focusing on frontal view synthesis, our model optimizes visual integrity for telepresence. Specifically, PrismMirror introduces a novel cascade learning strategy that enables coarse-to-fine geometric feature learning. It first directly learns coarse geometric features, such as SMPL-X meshes and point clouds, and then refines textures through rendering supervision. To achieve real-time efficiency, we distill this unified framework into a lightweight linear attention model. Notably, PrismMirror is the first monocular human frontal view synthesis model that achieves real-time inference at 24 FPS, significantly outperforming previous methods in both visual authenticity and structural accuracy.
