A Low Computational Approach for Price Tag Recognition

In this work we discuss the task of search, localization and recognition of price zone within a photograph of the price tag. The task is being addressed for the case when image is acquired by small-scale digital camera and calculation device has significant resource constraints. The proposed approach is based on Niblack binarization algorithm, analysis and clasterization of connected components in conditions of known price tag geometrical model. The algorithm was tested on a private dataset and has shown high quality.

New result on the measurement of the direct photon emission in K+ --> pi^+ pi^0 gamma decay

We present a new result on the K^+ --> pi^+ pi^0 gamma decay measurement using stopped kaons. The best fit to the decay spectrum comprised of 10k events gives a branching ratio for the direct photon emission of [3.8+-0.8(stat)+-0.7(syst)] times 10^{-6} in the pi^+ kinetic energy region of 55 to 90 MeV. This result has been obtained with the assumption that there is no component due to interference with the inner bremsstrahlung.

Measurement of K^+ \to π^0 μ^+ νγdecay using stopped kaons

The K^+ \to π^0 μ^+ νγ($K_{μ3 γ}$) decay has been measured with stopped positive kaons at the KEK 12 GeV proton synchrotron. A $K_{μ3 γ}$ sample containing 125 events was obtained. The partial branching ratio $Br(K_{μ3 γ}, E_γ>30 {\rm MeV}, θ_{μ^+ γ}>20^{\circ})$ was found to be $[2.4 \pm 0.5(stat) \pm 0.6(syst)]\times 10^{-5}$, which is in good agreement with theoretical predictions.
