New measurements of $B^+_c$ decays into single charm final states

Using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9 \,\textrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment, searches are performed for $B^+_c$ mesons decaying to a charm and a charmless meson pair. Five products of branching fraction, ${\cal B}(B^+_c\!\to DX)$, and fragmentation ratio $f_c\big/f_u$ are reported, \begin{align*} R_{D^+ K^{*0}} &= ( 1.42 \pm 0.23 \pm 0.07 \pm 0.11 ) \times 10^{-6}, \\ R_{D^{*0} K^+} &= (1.46 \pm 0.30 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.05 ) \times 10^{-6}, \\ R_{D^+_s \phi}\ \ \ &= ( 4.0\pm 1.3 \pm 0.2 \pm 0.5) \times 10^{-7 }, \\ R_{D^0 K^+}\ &= ( 9.7 \pm 1.0 \pm 0.4 \pm 0.3 ) \times 10^{-7}, \\ R_{D^0 \pi^+}\ &<\ 1.4 \times 10^{-7}\ \text{at 95\% CL}. \end{align*} In each case, the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic and the third includes external uncertainties. The first result is a first observation, the second and third exhibit clear evidence and the fourth improves the precision of previous measurements by a factor two. Additionally, the $CP$ asymmetry in $B^+_c\!\to D^0 K^+$ decays is measured and found to be compatible with zero.

Improved branching-fraction measurements of $B^0_{(s)} \to K_S^0 h^+ h^{'-}$ decays and first observation of $B^0_{s} \to K_S^0 K^+ K^-$

This paper presents a study of the charmless three-body decays ${B^0_{(s)} \to K_{\mathrm{S}}^0 h^+ h^{\prime -}}$ (where $h^{(\prime)} = \pi, K$), using a sample of $pp$ collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9\mbox{\,fb}^{-1}$. The decay ${B^0_s \to K_{\mathrm{S}}^0 K^+ K^-}$ is observed for the first time, and the following ratios of branching fractions are measured: \begin{alignat*}{6} &\frac{{\cal B}(B^0 \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} K^+ K^-)}{{\cal B}(B^0 \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} \pi^+\pi^-)} &&= 0.578 &&\pm 0.007 &&\pm 0.017\,, &\frac{{\cal B}(B^0 \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} K^\pm\pi^\mp)}{{\cal B}(B^0 \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} \pi^+\pi^-)} &&= 0.1363 &&\pm 0.0035 &&\pm 0.0051\,, &\frac{{\cal B}(B^0_s \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} \pi^+\pi^-)}{{\cal B}(B^0 \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} \pi^+\pi^-)} &&= 0.269 &&\pm 0.011 &&\pm 0.015 && \pm 0.008\,, &\frac{{\cal B}(B^0_s \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} K^+ K^-)}{{\cal B}(B^0 \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} \pi^+\pi^-)} &&= 0.0303 &&\pm 0.0041 &&\pm 0.0025 && \pm 0.0009\,, &\frac{{\cal B}(B^0_s \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} K^\pm\pi^\mp)}{{\cal B}(B^0 \to K^0_{\mathrm{S}} \pi^+\pi^-)} &&= 1.818 &&\pm 0.021 &&\pm 0.031 && \pm 0.056\,, \end{alignat*} where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to knowledge of the ratio of hadronisation fractions of the $B^0_s$ and $B^0$ mesons, respectively.

Amplitude analysis of the $\Xi^+_c\to pK^-\pi^+$ decay and $\Xi^+_c$ baryon polarization measurement in semileptonic beauty-hadron decays

An amplitude analysis of the $\Xi^+_c\to pK^-\pi^+$ decay together with a measurement of the $\Xi^+_c$ polarization vector in semileptonic beauty-hadron decays is presented. The analysis is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 ${\rm fb}^{-1}$. An amplitude model is developed and the resonance fractions as well as two- and three-body decay parameters are reported. A sizeable $\Xi^+_c$ polarization is found. A large sensitivity of the $\Xi^+_c\to pK^-\pi^+$ decay to the polarization is seen, making the amplitude model suitable for $\Xi^+_c$ polarization measurements in other systems.

Coherent photoproduction of $\rho^0, \omega$ and excited vector mesons in ultraperipheral PbPb collisions

The invariant-mass distribution for the coherent photoproduction of dipions in ultraperipheral PbPb collisions is measured using data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $224.6 \pm 9.6 \mu$b$^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb experiment in 2018 at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02$ TeV. In the mass range from 400 to 1200 MeV, the results are consistent with previous experiments, with the spectrum dominated by the $\rho^0$ meson, which interferes with a nonresonant component, together with a smaller $\omega$ meson contribution. In an extended mass range up to 2300 MeV, models previously used do not fit the data and a consistent description requires the introduction of two resonances at masses of $1350\pm20$ MeV and $1790\pm20$ MeV with widths of about 300 MeV. The cross-section for each meson is measured differentially in twelve bins of rapidity from 2.05 to 4.90. The $\rho^0$ cross-section increases with rapidity from about 400 to 600 mb and is measured with a typical precision of 8\%, while the cross-section times branching fraction for the $\omega,\rho^\prime$ and $\rho^{\prime\prime}$, with the statistical precision of the data, do not have a pronounced rapidity dependence and are between 0.5 and 1.5 mb, with uncertainties up to 30\%. A large nuclear suppression is observed for the $\rho^0$ meson compared to expectations based on photoproduction on the proton that use the impulse approximation. Significant suppression is also observed compared to that predicted by elastic scattering described in the Glauber approach, or with the addition of inelastic scattering in a Gribov--Glauber model.

Innovative DC-coupled Resistive Silicon Detector for 4D tracking

In the past 10 years, two design innovations, the introduction of low internal gain (LGAD) and of resistive read-out (RSD), have radically changed the performance of silicon detectors. The LGAD mechanism, increasing the signal-to-noise ratio by about a factor of 20, leads to improved time resolution (typically 30 ps for a 50-$\mu$m thick sensor), while resistive read-out, sharing the collected charge among read-out electrodes, leads to excellent spatial resolution even using large pixels (about 15 $\mu$m for 450-$\mu$m pixel size). This contribution outlines the design strategy and presents the first performance results of the latest evolution of silicon sensors for 4D tracking, the DC-coupled Resistive Silicon Detector (DC-RSD). The DC-RSD is a thin LGAD with a DC-coupled resistive read-out. This design leads to signal containment within a predetermined number of electrodes using isolating trenches (TI technology). Several test structures and application-oriented devices have been implemented in the wafer layout. The sensors, produced at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in the framework of the 4DSHARE project, have been characterized with a laser TCT system and recently tested at DESY with an electron beam. The study of this first prototype production will provide us with immediate feedback on the soundness of the DC-RSD concepts.

Branching fraction measurement of the decay $B^+ \to \psi(2S) \phi(1020) K^+$

The branching fraction of the decay $B^+\to \psi(2S)\phi(1020)K^+$, relative to the topologically similar decay $B^+\to J/\psi \phi(1020) K^+$, is measured using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The ratio is found to be $0.061 \pm 0.004 \pm 0.009$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. Using the world-average branching fraction for $B^+ \to J/\psi \phi(1020) K^+$, the branching fraction for the decay $B^+\to \psi(2S) \phi(1020) K^+$ is found to be $ (3.0 \pm 0.2 \pm 0.5 \pm 0.2) \times 10^{-6}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic, and the third is due to the branching fraction of the normalization channel.

Angular analysis of $B^0\rightarrow K^{*0}e^{+}e^{-}$ decays

An angular analysis of $B^0\rightarrow K^{*0}e^{+}e^{-}$ decays is presented using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$. The analysis is performed in the region of the dilepton invariant mass squared of 1.1-6.0 GeV$^{2}/c^{4}$. In addition, a test of lepton flavour universality is performed by comparing the obtained angular observables with those measured in $B^0\rightarrow K^{*0}\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ decays. In general, the angular observables are found to be consistent with the Standard Model expectations as well as with global analyses of other $b \rightarrow s \ell^{+} \ell^{-}$ processes, where $\ell$ is either a muon or an electron. No sign of lepton-flavour-violating effects is observed.

Evidence for $B^-\rightarrow D^{**0}\tau^-\overline{\nu_{\tau}}$ decays

The first evidence for the decay $B^-\rightarrow D^{**0}\tau^-\overline{\nu_{\tau}}$ is obtained using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$ , at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 Tev. Here, the $D^{**0}$ meson represents any of the three excited charm mesons $D_{1}(2420)^{0}$, $D_{2}^{*}(2460)^{0}$, and $D_{1}^{'}(2400)^{0}$. The $B^-\rightarrow D^{**0}\tau^-\overline{\nu_{\tau}}$ signal is measured with a significance of 3.5 $\sigma$, including systematic uncertainties. The combined branching fraction $BR(B^-\rightarrow D^{**0}_{1,2}\tau^-\overline{\nu_{\tau}})\times BR(D^{**0}_{1,2}\rightarrow D^{*+}\pi^-)$, where $D^{**0}_{1,2}$ denotes both $D_{1}(2420)^{0}$ and $D_{2}^{*}(2460)^{0}$ contributions, is measured to be $(0.051\pm0.013(stat)\pm 0.006(syst)\pm 0.009(\rm{ext}) )\%$, where the last uncertainty reflects that of the branching fraction of the normalisation channel $B^-\rightarrow D^{**0}_{1,2}D_s^{(*)-}$. The ratio between the tauonic and muonic semileptonic $B$ decays, with the latter taken from world average values, is also determined and found to be ${\cal R}(D^{**0}_{1,2})=0.13\pm0.03(stat)\pm0.01(syst)\pm0.02\,(\rm{ext})$.

Measurement of the multiplicity dependence of $\mit\Upsilon$ production ratios in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV

The $\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{2}S)$ and $\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{3}S)$ production cross-sections are measured relative to that of the $\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{1}S)$ meson, as a function of charged-particle multiplicity in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $13$ TeV. The measurement uses data collected by the LHCb experiment in 2018 corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 $\text{fb}^{-1}$. Both the $\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{2}S)$-to-$\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{1}S)$ and $\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{3}S)$-to-$\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{1}S)$ cross-section ratios are found to decrease significantly as a function of event multiplicity, with the $\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{3}S)$-to-$\mit{\Upsilon}(\mathrm{1}S)$ ratio showing a steeper decline towards high multiplicity. This hierarchy is qualitatively consistent with the comover model predictions, indicating that final-state interactions play an important role in bottomonia production in high-multiplicity events.

Measurement of $CP$ asymmetry in $B_s^0 \to D_s^{\mp} K^{\pm}$ decays

A measurement of the $CP$-violating parameters in $B_s^0 \to D_s^{\mp} K^{\pm}$ decays is reported, based on the analysis of proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $6\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ at a centre-of-mass energy of $13 \,\mathrm{TeV}$. The measured parameters are obtained with a decay-time dependent analysis yielding $C_f = 0.791 \pm 0.061 \pm 0.022$, $A_f^{\Delta\Gamma} = -0.051 \pm 0.134 \pm 0.058$, $A_{\overline{f}}^{\Delta\Gamma} = -0.303 \pm 0.125 \pm 0.055$, $S_f = -0.571 \pm 0.084 \pm 0.023$ and $S_{\overline{f}} = -0.503 \pm 0.084 \pm 0.025$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This corresponds to $CP$ violation in the interference between mixing and decay of about $8.6\,\sigma$. Together with the value of the Bs mixing phase $-2\beta_s$, these parameters are used to obtain a measurement of the CKM angle $\gamma$ equal to $ (74\pm12)^\circ$ modulo $180^{\circ}$, where the uncertainty contains both statistical and systematic contributions. This result is combined with the previous LHCb measurement in this channel using $3\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ resulting in a determination of $\gamma= (81^{+12}_{-11})^\circ$.

Observation of the open-charm tetraquark candidate $T_{cs 0}^{*}(2870)^0$ in the $B^- \rightarrow D^- D^0 K_\mathrm{S}^0$ decay

An amplitude analysis of $B^-\rightarrow D^- D^0 K_\mathrm{S}^0$ decays is performed using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9\,\text{fb}^{-1}$, collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13$\mathrm{\,Te\kern -0.1em V}$. A resonant structure of spin-parity $0^+$ is observed in the $D^0 K_\mathrm{S}^0$ invariant-mass spectrum with a significance of $5.3\,\sigma$. The mass and width of the state, modeled with a Breit$-$Wigner lineshape, are determined to be $2883\pm11\pm8\mathrm{\,Me\kern -0.1em V\!/}c^2$ and $87_{-47}^{+22}\pm17\mathrm{\,Me\kern -0.1em V}$ respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. These properties and the quark content are consistent with those of the open-charm tetraquark candidate $T_{cs 0}^{*}(2870)^0$ observed previously in the $D^+ K^-$ final state of the $B^-\rightarrow D^- D^+ K^-$ decay. This result confirms the existence of the $T_{cs 0}^{*}(2870)^0$ state in a new decay mode. The $T_{cs1}^{*}(2900)^0$ state, reported in the $B^-\rightarrow D^- D^+ K^-$ decay, is also searched for in the $D^0 K_\mathrm{S}^0$ invariant-mass spectrum of the $B^- \rightarrow D^- D^0 K_\mathrm{S}^0$ decay, without finding evidence for it.

Study of $\it{\Lambda}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}$ and $\it{\Xi}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}$ decays to $\it{\Lambda} h^+h^{'-}$ and evidence for $CP$ violation in $\it{\Lambda}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}\to\it{\Lambda} K^+K^-$ decays

A study of $\it{\Lambda}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}$ and $\it{\Xi}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}$ decays to $\it{\Lambda} h^{+} h^{\prime -}$ $(h^{(\prime)}=\pi, K)$ is performed using $pp$ collision data collected by the LHCb experiment during LHC Runs 1$-$2, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9~\rm{fb}^{-1}$. The branching fractions for these decays are measured using the $\it{\Lambda}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}\to\it{\Lambda}_{\it{c}}^+(\to\it{\Lambda}\pi^+)\pi^-$ decay as control channel. The decays $\it{\Lambda}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}\to\it{\Lambda}\pi^+\pi^-$ and $\it{\Xi}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}\to\it{\Lambda}K^-\pi^+$ are observed for the first time. For decay modes with sufficient signal yields, $CP$ asymmetries are measured in the full and localized regions of the final-state phase space. Evidence is found for $CP$ violation in the $\it{\Lambda}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0}\to\it{\Lambda}K^+K^-$ decay, interpreted as originating primarily from an asymmetric $\it{\Lambda}_{\it{b}}^\rm{0} \to \it{N}^{*+} \it{K}^-$ decay amplitude. The measured $CP$ asymmetries for the other decays are compatible with zero.

First evidence for direct CP violation in beauty to charmonium decays

The $C\!P$ asymmetry and branching fraction of the CKM-suppressed decay $B^+\!\to J\mskip -3mu/\mskip -2mu\psi\,\pi^+$ are precisely measured relative to the favoured decay $B^+\!\to J\mskip -3mu/\mskip -2mu\psi\,K^+$, using a sample of proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $5.4~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ recorded at center-of-mass energy of $13~\mathrm{TeV}$ during 2016--2018. The results of the $C\!P$ asymmetry difference and branching fraction ratio are \begin{align*} \Delta\mathcal{A}^{C\!P} &\equiv \mathcal{A}^{C\!P}(B^+ \to J\mskip -3mu/\mskip -2mu\psi\,\pi^+) - \mathcal{A}^{C\!P}(B^+ \to J\mskip -3mu/\mskip -2mu\psi\,K^+) = (1.29 \pm 0.49 \pm 0.08) \times 10^{-2}, \end{align*} \begin{equation*} \mathcal{R}_{\pi/K} \equiv \frac{\mathcal{B}(B^+ \!\to J\mskip -3mu/\mskip -2mu\psi\,\pi^+)}{\mathcal{B}(B^+ \!\to J\mskip -3mu/\mskip -2mu\psi\,K^+)} = (3.852 \pm 0.022 \pm 0.018) \times 10^{-2}. \end{equation*} where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. A combination with previous LHCb results based on data collected at $7$ and $8~\mathrm{TeV}$ in 2011 and 2012 yields $\Delta\mathcal{A}^{C\!P} = (1.42 \pm 0.43 \pm 0.08) \times 10^{-2}$ and $\mathcal{R}_{\pi/K} = (3.846 \pm 0.018 \pm 0.018) \times 10^{-2}$. The combined $\Delta\mathcal{A}^{C\!P}$ value deviates from zero by 3.2 standard deviations, providing the first evidence for direct $C\!P$ violation in the amplitudes of beauty decays to charmonium final states.

Constraints on the photon polarisation in $b \to s \gamma$ transitions using $B_s^0 \rightarrow \phi e^+e^-$ decays

An angular analysis of the $B_s^0 \rightarrow \phi e^+e^-$ decay is performed using the proton-proton collision dataset collected between 2011 and 2018 by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9\,{\rm fb}^{-1}$ at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and $13\,{\rm TeV}$. The analysis is performed in the very low dielectron invariant mass-squared region between $0.0009$ and $0.2615\,{\rm GeV}^2\!/c^4$. The longitudinal polarisation fraction of the $\phi$ meson is measured to be less than $11.5\%$ at $90\%$ confidence level. The $A_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathcal{R}e C\!P}$ observable, which is related to the lepton forward-backward asymmetry, is measured to be $0.116 \pm 0.155 \pm 0.006$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The transverse asymmetries, $A_{\mathrm{T}}^{(2)}$ and $A_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathcal{I}m C\!P}$, which are sensitive to the virtual photon polarisation, are found to be $-0.045 \pm 0.235 \pm 0.014$ and $0.002 \pm 0.247 \pm 0.016$, respectively. The results are consistent with Standard Model predictions.

Measurement of $\phi(1020)$ meson production in fixed-target $\textit{p}$Ne collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 68.5 GeV

The first measurement of $\phi(1020)$ meson production in fixed-target $p$Ne collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=68.5$ GeV is presented. The $\phi(1020)$ mesons are reconstructed in their $K^{+}K^{-}$ decay in a data sample consisting of proton collisions on neon nuclei at rest, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $21.7 \pm 1.4$ nb$^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb detector at CERN. The $\phi(1020)$ production cross-section in the centre-of-mass rapidity range of $-1.8<y^*<0$ and transverse momentum range of $800<p_{T}<6500$ MeV/c is found to be $\sigma=182.7\pm2.7~\text{(stat.)}\pm14.1~\text{(syst)}~\mu$b/nucleon. A double-differential measurement of the cross-section is also provided in four regions of rapidity and six regions of transverse momentum of the $\phi(1020)$ meson and compared with the predictions from Pythia and EPOS4, which are found to underestimate the experimental values.

Measurement of the $\psi(2S)$ to $J/\psi$ cross-section ratio as a function of centrality in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\text{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV

The dissociation of quarkonium states with different binding energies produced in heavy-ion collisions is a powerful probe for investigating the formation and properties of the quark-gluon plasma. The ratio of production cross-sections of $\psi(2S)$ and $J/\psi$ mesons times the ratio of their branching fractions into the dimuon final state is measured as a function of centrality using data collected by the LHCb detector in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\text{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV. The measured ratio shows no dependence on the collision centrality, and is compared to the latest theory predictions and to the recent measurements in literature.

Study of $D_{s1}(2460)^{+}\to D_{s}^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ in $B\to {\bar{D}}^{(*)}D_{s}^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ decays

An amplitude analysis of the $D_{s1}(2460)^+\to D_{s}^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ transition is performed simultaneously in $B^{0}\to D^{-}D_{s}^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$, $B^{+}\to{\bar{D}}^{0} D_{s}^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$, and $B^{0}\to D^{*-}D_{s}^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ decays. The study is based on a data sample of proton-proton collisions recorded with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=7,8,$ and $13\,$TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of $9\,\rm{fb}^{-1}$. A clear double-peak structure is observed in the $m(\pi^{+}\pi^{-})$ spectrum of the $D_{s1}(2460)^{+}\to D_{s}^{+}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ decay. The data can be described either with a model including $f_0(500)$, $f_0(980)$ and $f_2(1270)$ resonances, in which the contributions of $f_0(980)$ and $f_2(1270)$ are unexpectedly large, or with a model including $f_0(500)$, a doubly charged open-charm tetraquark state $T_{c\bar{s}}^{++}$ and its isospin partner $T_{c\bar{s}}^{0}$. If the former is considered implausible, the $T_{c\bar{s}}$ states are observed with high significance, and the data are consistent with isospin symmetry. When imposing isospin constraints between the two $T_{c\bar{s}}$ states, their mass and width are determined to be $2327\pm13\pm13\,$MeV and $96\pm16\,^{+170}_{-23}\,$MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The mass is slightly below the $DK$ threshold, and a spin-parity of $0^+$ is favoured with high significance.

Measurement of the CKM angle $\gamma$ in $B^{\pm} \to D K^*(892)^{\pm}$ decays

Measurements of $CP$ observables and the CKM angle $\gamma$ are performed in $B^{\pm} \to D K^*(892)^{\pm}$ decays, where $D$ represents a superposition of $D^0$ and $\overline{D}{}^0$ states, using the LHCb dataset collected during Run 1 (2011-2012) and Run 2 (2015-2018). A study of this channel is presented with the $D$ meson reconstructed in two-body final states $K^{\pm}\pi^{\mp}$, $K^+K^-$ and $\pi^+\pi^-$; four-body final states $K^{\pm}\pi^{\mp}\pi^{\pm}\pi^{\mp}$ and $\pi^+\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$; and three-body final states $K^0_{S} \pi^+\pi^-$ and $K^0_{S} K^+ K^-$. This analysis includes the first observation of the suppressed $B^{\pm} \to [\pi^{\pm}K^{\mp}]_D K^{*\pm}$ and $B^{\pm} \to [\pi^{\pm}K^{\mp}\pi^{\pm}\pi^{\mp}]_D K^{*\pm}$ decays. The combined result gives $\gamma=(63\pm 13)^\circ$.
