Signatures of $X_{17}$ through Coherent Elastic Solar Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering in Direct Detection Searches

The $X_{17}$ particle has been proposed to explain the invariant mass anomalies observed in electron-positron pairs during nuclear transitions at the Atomki experiment. Motivated by recent observations of $^8$B solar neutrinos induced coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CE$ν$NS), we present the first comprehensive analysis of the hypothetical boson using data from multi-ton dark matter direct detection facilities. We consider the new particle as a light $Z'$ mediator arising from a spontaneously broken $U(1)'$ symmetry, featuring both vector and axial-vector couplings to leptons. By evaluating the latest datasets from XENONnT, PandaX-4T, and LUX-ZEPLIN, we derive stringent limits on the effective vector coupling utilizing marginalization procedures. Our global analysis provides competitive constraints that meaningfully narrow the allowed parameter space of the model, while exhibiting a clear sensitivity to the tau-flavor coupling.

Constraints on active-sterile neutrino transition magnetic moments from low-energy electronic recoils at direct detection experiments

Sterile neutrinos can potentially be produced through neutrino transition magnetic moments in neutrino-electron scattering. In this work, we investigate this dipole portal by analyzing low-energy electronic recoil data from the PandaX-4T (Run0 and Run1) and XENONnT experiments. We focus on the up-scattering of solar neutrinos into sterile states via the transition magnetic moment. By performing a comprehensive analysis, we derive robust exclusion limits on the neutrino flavor-independent and flavor-dependent transition magnetic moments for fixed sterile neutrino masses as well as on the mass-coupling parameter space. We demonstrate that, since they can detect solar neutrino-induced processes, direct detection experiments offer a unique framework for studying all possible neutrino flavors. The obtained limits extend the sensitivity to previously unexplored regions of the parameter space.

Constraining neutrino electromagnetic properties with recent low-energy electron recoil data at dark matter direct detection experiments

Neutrinos that are elastically scattered off atomic electrons provide a unique opportunity to investigate the Standard Model (SM) and beyond SM physics. In this work, we explore the new physics effects of neutrino electromagnetic properties through elastic neutrino-electron scattering using solar neutrinos at the low energy range of PandaX-4T and XENONnT experiments. The properties of interest include the neutrino magnetic moment, millicharge, and charge radius, all of which are natural consequences of non-zero neutrino masses. We investigate their effects by incorporating each property into the Standard Model (SM) framework, given the measured the solar neutrino flux. By analyzing the latest Run 0 and Run 1 datasets from the PandaX-4T experiment, together with recent results from XENONnT, we derive new constraints on each electromagnetic property of neutrino. We present both flavor-independent results, obtained using a common parameter for all three neutrino flavors, and flavor-dependent results, derived by marginalizing over the three neutrino flavor components. Bounds we obtained are comparable or improved compared to those reported in the previous studies.

Constraints on New Physics with Light Mediators and Generalized Neutrino Interactions via Coherent Elastic Neutrino Nucleus Scattering

We investigate new physics effects on coherent elastic neutrino nucleus scattering within the framework of nonstandard interactions and generalized neutrino interactions. Additionally, we examine the possibility of light mediators from a simplified model that includes all possible Lorentz-invariant interactions of vector, axialvector, scalar, pseudoscalar, and tensor types. Constraints and allowed regions at the $90\%$ CL for masses and couplings in each new physics scenario have been obtained through the analysis of TEXONO data, which includes two datasets from a high-purity $n$-type point contact germanium detector in 2016 and an advanced $p$-type point contact Ge detector in 2025. The results are presented in comparison with other reactor and accelerator-based neutrino experiments for complementarity.

White Paper and Roadmap for Quantum Gravity Phenomenology in the Multi-Messenger Era

The unification of quantum mechanics and general relativity has long been elusive. Only recently have empirical predictions of various possible theories of quantum gravity been put to test, where a clear signal of quantum properties of gravity is still missing. The dawn of multi-messenger high-energy astrophysics has been tremendously beneficial, as it allows us to study particles with much higher energies and travelling much longer distances than possible in terrestrial experiments, but more progress is needed on several fronts. A thorough appraisal of current strategies and experimental frameworks, regarding quantum gravity phenomenology, is provided here. Our aim is twofold: a description of tentative multimessenger explorations, plus a focus on future detection experiments. As the outlook of the network of researchers that formed through the COST Action CA18108 ``Quantum gravity phenomenology in the multi-messenger approach (QG-MM)'', in this work we give an overview of the desiderata that future theoretical frameworks, observational facilities, and data-sharing policies should satisfy in order to advance the cause of quantum gravity phenomenology.

Analytical bound state solutions of the Dirac equation with the Hulthén plus a class of Yukawa potential including a Coulomb-like tensor interaction

We examine the bound state solutions of the Dirac equation under the spin and pseudospin symmetries for a new suggested combined potential, Hulten plus a class of Yukawa potential including a Coulomb-like tensor interaction. An improved scheme is employed to deal with the centrifugal (pseudo-centrifugal) term. Using the Nikiforov-Uvarov and SUSYQM methods, we analytically develop the relativistic energy eigenvalues and associated Dirac spinor components of wave functions. We find that both methods give entirely the same results. Modifiable of our results into some particular potential cases, useful for other physical systems, are also discussed. We obtain complete agreement with the findings of previous works. The spin and pseudospin bound state energy spectra for various levels are presented in the absence as well as the presence of tensor coupling. Both energy spectrums are sensitive with regards to the quantum numbers $κ$ and $n$, as well as the parameter $δ$. We also notice that the degeneracies between Dirac spin and pseudospin doublet eigenstate partners are completely removed by the tensor interaction. Finally, we present the parameter space of allowable bound state regions of potential strength $V_0$ with constants for both considered symmetry limits $C_S$ and $C_{PS}$.

Arbitrary $\ell$-state solutions of the Klein-Gordon equation with the Manning-Rosen plus a Class of Yukawa potentials

Focusing on an improved approximation scheme, we present how to treat the centrifugal and the Coulombic behavior terms and then to obtain the bound state solutions of the Klein-Gordon (KG) equation with the Manning-Rosen plus a Class of Yukawa potentials. By means of the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) and supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSYQM) methods, we present the energy spectrum for any $\ell$-state and the corresponding radial wave functions in terms of the hypergeometric functions. From both methods we obtain the same results. Several special cases for the potentials which are useful for other physical systems are also discussed. These are consistent with those results in previous works. We obtain that the energy level $E$ is sensitive to the potential parameter $δ$ at fixed values of other parameters and increases when $δ$ runs from $0.05$ to $0.3$. Furthermore, $E$ is sensitive to the quantum numbers $\ell$ and $n_r$ for a given $δ$, as expected.
