Integrable supersymmetric correlated electron chain with open boundaries

We construct an extended Hubbard model with open boundaries from a $R$-matrix based on the $U_q[Osp(2|2)]$ superalgebra. We study the reflection equation and find two classes of diagonal solutions. The corresponding one-dimensional open Hamiltonians are diagonalized by means of the Bethe ansatz approach.

Unified algebraic Bethe ansatz for two-dimensional lattice models

We develop a unified formulation of the quantum inverse scattering method for lattice vertex models associated to the non-exceptional $A^{(2)}_{2r}$, $A^{(2)}_{2r-1}$, $B^{(1)}_r$, $C^{(1)}_r$, $D^{(1)}_{r+1}$ and $D^{(2)}_{r+1}$ Lie algebras. We recast the Yang-Baxter algebra in terms of novel commutation relations between creation, annihilation and diagonal fields. The solution of the $D^{(2)}_{r+1}$ model is based on an interesting sixteen-vertex model which is solvable without recourse to a Bethe ansatz.

Applications of Temperley-Lieb algebras to Lorentz lattice gases

Motived by the study of motion in a random environment we introduce and investigate a variant of the Temperley-Lieb algebra. This algebra is very rich, providing us three classes of solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. This allows us to establish a theoretical framework to study the diffusive behaviour of a Lorentz Lattice gas. Exact results for the geometrical scaling behaviour of closed paths are also presented.

The Quantum Inverse Scattering Method for Hubbard-like Models

This work is concerned with various aspects of the formulation of the quantum inverse scattering method for the one-dimensional Hubbard model. We first establish the essential tools to solve the eigenvalue problem for the transfer matrix of the classical ``covering'' Hubbard model within the algebraic Bethe Ansatz framework. The fundamental commutation rules exhibit a hidden 6-vertex symmetry which plays a crucial role in the whole algebraic construction. Next we apply this formalism to study the SU(2) highest weights properties of the eigenvectors and the solution of a related coupled spin model with twisted boundary conditions. The machinery developed in this paper is applicable to many other models, and as an example we present the algebraic solution of the Bariev XY coupled model.

On the integrability of the SU(N) Hubbard model

We exhibit explicitly the intertwiner operator for the monodromy matrices of the recent proposed SU(N) Hubbard model [5]. This produces a new family of non-additive R-matrices and generalizes an earlier result by Shastry [2].

An Intersecting Loop Model as a Solvable Super Spin Chain

In this paper we investigate an integrable loop model and its connection with a supersymmetric spin chain. The Bethe Ansatz solution allows us to study some properties of the ground state. When the loop fugacity $q$ lies in the physical regime, we conjecture that the central charge is $c=q-1$ for $q$ integer $< 2$. Low-lying excitations are examined, supporting a superdiffusive behavior for $q=1$. We argue that these systems are interesting examples of integrable lattice models realizing $c \leq 0$ conformal field theories.

On the solution of a supersymmetric model of correlated electrons

We consider the exact solution of a model of correlated electrons based on the superalgebra $Osp(2|2)$. The corresponding Bethe ansatz equations have an interesting form. We derive an expression for the ground state energy at half filling. We also present the eigenvalue of the transfer matrix commuting with the Hamiltonian.

Critical Behaviour of integrable mixed spins chains

We construct a mixed spin 1/2 and $S$ integrable model and investigate its finite size properties. For a certain conformal invariant mixed spin system the central charge can be decomposed in terms of the conformal anomaly of two single integrable models of spin 1/2 and spin $(S-1/2)$. We also compute the ground state energy and the sound velocity in the thermodynamic limit.

The algebraic Bethe ansatz for rational braid-monoid lattice models

In this paper we study isotropic integrable systems based on the braid-monoid algebra. These systems constitute a large family of rational multistate vertex models and are realized in terms of the B_n, C_n and D_n Lie algebra and by the superalgebra Osp(n|2m). We present a unified formulation of the quantum inverse scattering method for many of these lattice models. The appropriate fundamental commutation rules are found, allowing us to construct the eigenvectors and the eigenvalues of the transfer matrix associated to the B_n, C_n, D_n, Osp(2n-1|2), Osp(2|2n-2), Osp(2n-2|2) and Osp(1|2n) models. The corresponding Bethe Ansatz equations can be formulated in terms of the root structure of the underlying algebra.

Exact solution of the lattice vertex model analog of the coupled Bariev XY chains

We present the algebraic Bethe Ansatz solution for the vertex model recently proposed by Zhou as the classical analog of the Bariev interacting XY chains. The relevant commutation rules between the creation fields contain the Hecke symmetry pointed out recently by Hikami and Murakami. The eigenvalues of the corresponding transfer matrix are explicitly given.

One parameter family of an integrable $spl(2|1)$ vertex model : Algebraic Bethe ansatz approach and ground state structure

We formulate in terms of the quantum inverse scattering method the exact solution of a $spl(2|1)$ invariant vertex model recently introduced in the literature. The corresponding transfer matrix is diagonalized by using the algebraic (nested) Bethe ansatz approach. The ground state structure is investigated and we argue that a Pokrovsky-Talapov transition is favored for certain value of the 4-dimensional $spl(2|1)$ parameter.

The exact solution and the finite size behaviour of the $Osp(1|2)$ invariant spin chain

We have solved exactly the $Osp(1|2)$ spin chain by the Bethe ansatz approach. Our solution is based on an equivalence between the $Osp(1|2)$ chain and certain special limit of the Izergin-Korepin vertex model. The completeness of the Bethe ansatz equations is discussed for a system with four sites and it is noted the appearance of special string structures. The Bethe ansatz presents an important phase-factor which distinguishes the even and odd sectors of the theory. The finite size properties are governed by a conformal field theory with central charge $c=1$.

Bethe ansatz solution of the $Osp(1|2n)$ invariant spin chain

We have applied the analytical Bethe ansatz approach in order to solve the $Osp(1|2n)$ invariant magnet. By using the Bethe ansatz equations we have calculated the ground state energy and the low-lying dispersion relation. The finite size properties indicate that the model has a central charge $c=n$.

Exact solution of the simplest super-orthosymplectic invariant magnet

We present the exact solution of the $Osp(1|2)$ invariant magnet by the Bethe ansatz approach. The associated Bethe ansatz equation exhibit a new feature by presenting an explicit and distinct phase behaviour in even and odd sectors of the theory. The ground state, the low-lying excitations and the critical properties are discussed by exploiting the Bethe ansatz solution.

On the parafermionic scattering of an integrable Heisenberg model with impurity

We have studied the massive parafermionic sector of an integrable spin-$s$ chain with an impurity of spin-$s^{'}$ in presence of a magnetic field. The effect of the impurity is encoded in a computable parafermionic impurity scattering amplitude and its contribution to the finite size properties of the free energy is discussed. As an example we compute the non-integer degeneracy of the ground state. For the simplest model of $s=1$ and $s^{'}=1/2$, its interpretation in terms of conformally invariant boundary conditions is presented.
