Background-Equivariant BRST Observables and i-Particle Propagators from an Auxiliary Quartet in SU(3) Yang-Mills

In this work, we construct a BRST-exact quartet mechanism in $SU(3)$ Yang-Mills theory in the Landau gauge. The quartet sector is cohomologically trivial in the standard vacuum, ensuring equivalence to pure Yang-Mills theory. The transformation rules carry both commutator and anticommutator structures, enlarging the field content from eight to nine degrees of freedom. Working in a prescribed Cartan-oriented background (compatible with the classical equations of motion), the theory induces a mass matrix reproducing the distinct $i$-particle propagator structure of earlier replica models without explicit breaking terms. To respect the BRST doublet theorem, we separate background generation from observable cohomology. Introducing a background-equivariant covariant Cartan frame, we show the filtered $i$-particle bilinear is the lowest perturbative component of an all-orders off-shell BRST cocycle. Despite the complex poles of elementary propagators, its leading two-point function retains a Källén--Lehmann representation with a real positive threshold and positive spectral density. The fully quantized action provides a consistent framework for renormalizability, establishing a systematic mechanism for recovering $i$-particle propagators and identifying BRST-controlled composite observables from a BRST-exact quartet extended to $SU(3)$.

Complex Chern-Simons and Gribov

We explore a contact point between two distinct approaches to the confinment problem. We show that BLG-ABJM like theories generate gauge propagators with just the complex pole structure prescribed by the Gribov scenario for confinemnt. This structure, known as i-particles in Gribov-Zwanziger theories, effectively allows the definition of composite operators with a positive Källén-Lehmann spectral representation for their two-point functions . Then, these operators satisfy the criteria to describe glue-ball condensates. We calculate the (first order) contribution to the two-point function of the gauge invariant condensate in an ABJM environment, showing its interpretation as a physical particle along Källén-Lehmann. In the meantime, we argue for the necessity of absorbing Witten's work on holomorphic complex theories in order to settle the physical interpretation of this non-perturbative scenario.

Quantum walk on a spin network

We apply a discrete quantum walk from a quantum particle on a discrete quantum spacetime from loop quantum gravity and show that the related Entanglement Entropy can drive a entropic force. We apply this concepts to propose a model of a walker position topologically encoded on a spin network.

A path-integral approach to the problem of time

Quantum transition amplitudes are formulated for a model system with local internal time, using path integrals. The amplitudes are shown to be more regular near a turning point of internal time than could be expected based on existing canonical treatments. In particular, a successful transition through a turning point is provided in the model system, together with a new definition of such a transition in general terms. Some of the results rely on a fruitful relation between the problem of time and general Gribov problems.

N=1 Gribov superfield extension

We propose a mechanism displaying confinement, as defined by the behavior of the propagators, for 4 dimensional, N = 1 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in superfield formalism. In this work we intend to verify the possibility of extending the known Gribov problem of quantization of Yang-Mills theories and the implementation of a local action with auxiliary superfields like Gribov-Zwanziger approach to this problem.

Landau confining replica model from an explicitly breaking of a SU(3) group without auxiliary fields

We propose a mechanism displaying gluon confinement, as defined by the behavior of the propagators, in a model of SU(2) gauge fields. The model originates from an explicitly broken SU(3) gauge theory giving rise to a replica model composed of three mixed SU(2) groups. The mechanism consists in the usual SU(3) Yang-Mills theory in the Landau gauge, with a soft breaking term in such a way as to change the field propagation and group content at low energies. The relation of this soft mass term with the Gribov problem is presented and the link between soft terms and the scaling and decoupling solutions is discussed.
