Reconstruction of the Cosmic Equation of State for High Redshift

We investigate the possibilities of reconstructing the cosmic equation of state (EoS) for high redshift. In order to obtain general results, we use two model-independent approaches. The first reconstructs the EoS using comoving distance and the second makes use of the Hubble parameter data. To implement the first method, we use a recent set of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) measures. To implement the second method, we generate simulated data using the Sandage-Loeb ($SL$) effect; for the fiducial model, we use the $ΛCDM$ model. In both cases, the statistical analysis is conducted through the Gaussian processes (non-parametric). In general, we demonstrate that this methodology for reconstructing the EoS using a non-parametric method plus a model-independent approach works appropriately due to the feasibility of calculation and the ease of introducing a priori information ($H_ {0}$ and $Ω_{m0}$). In the near future, following this methodology with a higher number of high quality data will help obtain strong restrictions for the EoS.

Study on the PDF comparisons for quarkonium + $γ$ production at the LHC and FCC energies

The quarkonium plus photon production in coherent hadron-hadron interactions at the LHC is studied using the non-relativistic QCD factorization formalism. We investigate a set of kinematic distributions and compute the total cross sections for $J/Ψ+ γ$ production. Our results demonstrate the feasibility of such process in the LHC kinematic regime and explore the possibilities for the Future Circular Collider, where higher event yields can be achieved.

Inelastic quarkonium photoproduction in coherent hadron - hadron interactions at LHC energies

In this paper we study the inelastic quarkonium photoproduction in coherent $pp/pPb/PbPb$ interactions. Considering the ultra relativistic hadrons as a source of photons, we estimate the total $ h_1 + h_2 \rightarrow h \otimes V + X$ ($V = J/Ψ$ and $Υ$) cross sections and rapidity distributions at LHC energies. Our results demonstrate that the experimental analysis of this process can be used to understand the underlying mechanism governing heavy quarkonium production.

Quarkonium+$γ$ production in coherent hadron - hadron interactions at LHC energies

In this paper we study the $H + γ$ ($H = J/Ψ$ and $Υ$) production in coherent hadron - hadron interactions at LHC energies. Considering the ultrarelativistic protons as a source of photons, we estimate the $γ+ p \rightarrow H + γ+ X$ cross section using the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism and considering different sets of values for the matrix elements. Our results for the total $ p + p \rightarrow p + H + γ+ X$ cross sections and rapidity distributions at $\sqrt{s} = 7$ and 14 TeV demonstrate that the experimental analysis of the $J/Ψ+ γ$ production at LHC is feasible.

Heavy quark production in photon - Pomeron interactions at hadronic colliders

The diffractive heavy quark cross sections are estimated considering photon-Pomeron ($γ\pom$) interactions in hadron - hadron at RHIC, Tevatron, and CERN LHC energies. We assume the validity of the hard diffractive factorization and calculate the charm and bottom total cross sections and rapidity distributions using the diffractive parton distribution functions of the Pomeron obtained by the H1 Collaboration at DESY-HERA. Moreover, we compare our predictions with those obtained using the dipole model. We verify that this process is a good test of the different mechanisms for diffractive heavy quark production at hadron - hadron colliders.

Estimations for the Single Diffractive production of the Higgs boson at the Tevatron and the LHC

The single diffractive production of the standard model Higgs boson is computed using the diffractive factorization formalism, taking into account a parametrization for the Pomeron structure function provided by the H1 Collaboration. We compute the cross sections at next-to-leading order accuracy for the gluon fusion process, which includes QCD and electroweak corrections. The gap survival probability ($<\!|S|^2\!>$) is also introduced to account for the rescattering corrections due to spectator particles present in the interaction, and to this end we compare two different models for the survival factor. The diffractive ratios are predicted for proton-proton collisions at the Tevatron and the LHC for the Higgs boson mass of $M_H$ = 120 GeV. Therefore, our results provide updated estimations for the diffractive ratios of the single diffractive production of the Higgs boson in the Tevatron and LHC kinematical regimes.

Single and Central Diffractive Higgs Production at the LHC

The single and central diffractive production of the Standard Model Higgs boson is computed using the diffractive factorization formalism, taking into account a parametrization for the Pomeron structure function provided by the H1 Collaboration. We compute the cross sections at NLO accuracy for the gluon fusion process, since it is the leading mechanism for the Higgs boson production. The gap survival probability is also introduced to include the rescattering corrections due to spectator particles present in the interaction. The diffractive ratios are predicted for proton-proton collisions at the LHC, since the beam luminosity is favorable to the Higgs boson detection. These results provide updated estimations for the fraction of single and central diffractive events in the LHC kinematical regime.

Charm and bottom production in inclusive double Pomeron exchange in heavy ion collisions at the LHC

The inclusive double Pomeron exchange cross section for heavy quark pair production is calculated for nucleus-nucleus collisions at the LHC. The present estimate is based on hard diffractive factorization, corrected by absorptive corrections and nuclear effects. The theoretical uncertainties for nuclear collisions are investigated and a comparison to other approaches is presented. The production channels producing a similar final state configuration are discussed as well.

Estimate of the single diffractive heavy quark production in heavy ion collisions at the CERN-LHC

The single diffractive cross section for heavy quarks production is calculated in next-no-leading order (NLO) in nucleus-nucleus collisions. Such processes are expected to occur at the LHC. We start using the hard diffractive factorization formalism, taking into account the recent experimental parameterization for the Pomeron Structure Function (DPDF). Absorptive corrections are accounted by the multiple Pomeron contributions considering a gap survival probability, where its theoretical uncertainty for nuclear collisions is discussed. We estimate the diffractive ratios for single diffraction process in nuclear coherent/incoherent collisions at the LHC.

Diffractive quarkonium production in association with a photon at the LHC

The rates for diffractive quarkonium plus prompt-photon associated production at the LHC are estimated. The theoretical framework considered in the J/Psi (or Upsilon) production associated with a direct photon at the hadron collider is the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism. The corresponding single diffractive cross section is computed based on the hard diffractive scattering factorization supplemented by absorptive corrections. Such processes are sensitive to the gluon content of the Pomeron at small Bjorken-x and they may also be a good place to test the different available mechanisms for quarkonium production at hadron colliders.

Neutral current neutrino-nucleus interactions at high energies

We present a QCD analysis of the neutral current neutrino-nucleus interaction at the small-x region using the color dipole formalism. This phenomenological approach is quite successful in describing experimental results in deep inelastic ep scattering and charged current neutrino-nucleus interactions at high energies. We present theoretical predictions for the relevant structure functions and the corresponding implications for the total NC neutrino cross section.

Diffractive hadroproduction of W and Z bosons at high energies

Results from a phenomenological analysis of $W$ and $Z$ hard diffractive hadroproduction at high energies are reported. Using the Regge factorization approach, we consider the recent diffractive parton density functions extracted by the H1 Collaboration at DESY-HERA. In addition, we take into account multiple Pomeron exchange corrections considering a gap survival probability factor. It is find that the ratio of diffractive to non-diffractive boson production is in good agreement with the CDF and D0 data. We make predictions which could be compared to future measurements at the LHC.

Neutrino structure functions in the QCD dipole picture

In this contribution we present an exploratory QCD analysis of the neutrino structure functions in charged current DIS using the color dipole formalism. The corresponding dipole cross sections are taken from recent phenomenological and theoretical studies in deep inelastic inclusive production, including nuclear shadowing corrections. The theoretical predictions are compared to the available experimental results in the small-x region.
