Generating functional of correlators of twist-$2$ operators in $\mathcal{N} = 1$ SUSY Yang-Mills theory, II

This article represents the second installment, in which we calculate the generating functional of correlators of collinear twist-$2$ operators that are components of unbalanced superfields-i.e., superfields possessing an unequal number of dotted and undotted indices in their spinor representation-in $\mathcal{N} = 1$ SUSY SU($N$) YM theory. The analysis is performed in both Minkowskian and Euclidean space-time, in the conformal limit and its renormalization-group (RG) improved form to the leading and next-to-leading order of the large-$N$ expansion. The corresponding generating functional for correlators of balanced superfields was addressed in the first installment of this work. Finally, we compare our asymptotic RG-improved generating functional at the next-to-leading large-$N$ order with the corresponding nonperturbative object that originates from the glueball/gluinoball one-loop effective action, to which it should be asymptotic at short distances due to asymptotic freedom. It is noteworthy that we discover both objects share the structure of the logarithm of a functional superdeterminant. Consequently, our large-$N$ calculation imposes stringent ultraviolet asymptotic constraints on the nonperturbative solution of large-$N$ $\mathcal{N} = 1$ SUSY YM theory, which could serve as a crucial guide in the quest for such a solution.

Flavored tetraquark spectroscopy

The recent confirmation of the charged charmonium like resonance Z(4430) by the LHCb experiment strongly suggests the existence of QCD multi quarks bound states. Some preliminary results about hypothetical flavored tetraquark mesons are reported. Such states are particularly amenable to Lattice QCD studies as their interpolating operators do not overlap with those of ordinary hidden-charm mesons.

A Tentative Description of Z_c,b States in Terms of Metastable Feshbach Resonances

We attempt a description of the recently discovered Z_{c,b} states in terms of Feshbach resonances arising from the interaction between the `closed' subspace of hadrocharmonium levels and the `open' one of open-charm/beauty thresholds. We show how the neutrality of the X(3872) might be understood in this scheme and provide a preliminary explanation of the pattern of the measured total widths of X,Z_{c,b}.

Renormalization of HQET $ΔB=2$ operators: O($a$) improvement and $1/m$ matching with QCD

We determine a basis of dimension-7 operators which arise at O($a$) in the Symanzik expansion of the $ΔB=2$ operators with static heavy quarks. We consider both Wilson-like and Ginsparg-Wilson light quarks. Exact chiral symmetry reduces the number of these O($a$) counterterms by a factor of two. Only a subset of these operators has previously appeared in the literature. We then extend the analysis to the O($1/m$) operators contributing beyond the static approximation.

Doubly Charmed Tetraquarks in B_c and Xi_bc Decays

The phenomenology of the so-called X, Y and Z hadronic resonances is hard to reconcile with standard charmonium or bottomonium interpretations. It has been suggested that some of these new hadrons can possibly be described as tightly bound tetraquark states and/or as loosely bound two-meson molecules. In the present paper we focus on the hypothetical existence of flavored, doubly charmed, tetraquarks. Such states might also carry double electric charge, and in this case, if discovered, they could univocally be interpreted in terms of compact tetraquarks. Flavored tetraquarks are also amenable to lattice studies as their interpolating operators do not overlap with ordinary meson ones. We show that doubly charmed tetraquarks could significantly be produced at LHC from B_c or Xi_bc heavy baryons.

Kaon Mixing Beyond the SM from Nf=2 tmQCD and model independent constraints from the UTA

We present the first unquenched, continuum limit, lattice QCD results for the matrix elements of the operators describing neutral kaon oscillations in extensions of the Standard Model. Owing to the accuracy of our calculation on ΔS=2 weak Hamiltonian matrix elements, we are able to provide a refined Unitarity Triangle analysis improving the bounds coming from model independent constraints on New Physics. In our non-perturbative computation we use a combination of Nf=2 maximally twisted sea quarks and Osterwalder-Seiler valence quarks in order to achieve both O(a)-improvement and continuum-like renormalization properties for the relevant four-fermion operators. The calculation of the renormalization constants has been performed non-perturbatively in the RI-MOM scheme. Based on simulations at four values of the lattice spacing and a number of quark masses we have extrapolated/interpolated our results to the continuum limit and physical light/strange quark masses.

Strange and charm baryon masses with two flavors of dynamical twisted mass fermions

The masses of the low-lying strange and charm baryons are evaluated using two degenerate flavors of twisted mass sea quarks for pion masses in the range of about 260 MeV to 450 MeV. The strange and charm valence quark masses are tuned to reproduce the mass of the kaon and D-meson at the physical point. The tree-level Symanzik improved gauge action is employed. We use three values of the lattice spacing, corresponding to $β=3.9$, $β=4.05$ and $β=4.2$ with $r_0/a=5.22(2)$, $r_0/a=6.61(3)$ and $r_0/a=8.31(5)$ respectively. %spacings $a=0.0855(5)$ and $a=0.0667(3)$ determined from the pion decay constant. We examine the dependence of the strange and charm baryons on the lattice spacing and strange and charm quark masses. The pion mass dependence is studied and physical results are obtained using heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory to extrapolate to the physical point.

Neutral meson oscillations in the Standard Model and beyond from Nf=2 Twisted Mass Lattice QCD

We present the ETMC results for the bag parameters describing the neutral kaon mixing in the Standard Model and beyond and preliminary results for the bag parameters controlling the short distance contributions in the D^0-\bar{D}^0 oscillations. We also present preliminary results for the B_{Bd}, B_{Bs}, B_{Bs}/B_{Bd} and ξ-parameter controlling B^0_-\bar{B}^0 oscillations in the Standard Model employing the so-called ratio method. Using Nf=2 maximally twisted sea quarks and Osterwalder-Seiler valence quarks we achieve both O(a)-improvement and continuum like renormalization pattern. Simulations are performed at three-values of the lattice spacing and several values of quark masses in the light, strange, charm region and above charm up to ~2.5m_c. Our results are extrapolated to the continuum limit and extrapolated/interpolated to the physical quark masses.

Nucleon form factors and moments of parton distributions in twisted mass lattice QCD

We present results on the electroweak form factors and on the lower moments of parton distributions of the nucleon, within lattice QCD using two dynamical flavors of degenerate twisted mass fermions. Results are obtained on lattices with three different values of the lattice spacings, namely a=0.089 fm, a=0.070 fm and a=0.056 fm, allowing the investigation of cut-off effects. The volume dependence is examined by comparing results on two lattices of spatial length L=2.1 fm and L=2.8 fm. The simulations span pion masses in the range of 260-470 MeV. Our results are renormalized non-perturbatively and the values are given in the MS-scheme at a scale mu=2 GeV.

K^0-\bar{K}^0 mixing in the Standard Model from Nf=2+1+1 Twisted Mass Lattice QCD

We present preliminary results at β = 1.95 (a = 0.077 fm) on the first unquenched N_f=2+1+1 lattice computation of the B_K parameter which controls the neutral kaon oscillations in the Standard Model. Using N_f=2+1+1 maximally twisted sea quarks and Osterwalder-Seiler valence quarks we achieve O(a) improvement and a continuum-like renormalization pattern for the four-fermion operator. Our results are extrapolated/interpolated to the physical light/strange quark mass but not yet to the continuum limit. The computation of the relevant renormalization constants is performed non perturbatively in the RI'-MOM scheme using dedicated simulations with N_f=4 degenerate sea quark flavours produced by the ETM collaboration. We get B_K^{RGI} (a = 0.077) = 0.747(18), which when compared to our previous unquenched N_f=2 determination and most of the existing results, suggests a rather weak B_K^{RGI} dependence on the number of dynamical flavours. We are at the moment analysing lattice data at two additional β values which will allow us to perform an extrapolation to the continuum limit.

Moments of nucleon generalized parton distributions from lattice QCD

We present results on the lower moments of the nucleon generalized parton distri butions within lattice QCD using two dynamical flavors of degenerate twisted mass fermions. Our simulations are performed on lattices with three different values of the lattice spacings, namely $a=0.089$ fm, $a=0.070$ fm and $a=0.056$ fm, allowing the investigation of cut-off effects. The volume dependence is examined using simulations on two lattices of spatial length $L=2.1$ fm and $L=2.8$ fm. The simulations span pion masses in the range of 260-470 MeV. Our results are renormalized non-perturbatively and the values are given in the $\bar{\rm MS}$ scheme at a scale $ μ=2$ GeV. They are chirally extrapolated to the physical point in order to compare with experiment. The consequences of these results on the spin carried by the quarks in the nucleon are investigated.

Nucleon electromagnetic form factors in twisted mass lattice QCD

We present results on the nucleon electromagnetic form factors within lattice QCD using two flavors of degenerate twisted mass fermions. Volume effects are examined using simulations at two volumes of spatial length L=2.1 fm and L=2.8 fm. Cut-off effects are investigated using three different values of the lattice spacings, namely a=0.089 fm, a=0.070 and a=0.056 fm. The nucleon magnetic moment, Dirac and Pauli radii are obtained in the continuum limit and chirally extrapolated to the physical pion mass allowing for a comparison with experiment.

BK-parameter from Nf = 2 twisted mass lattice QCD

We present an unquenched $N_f=2$ lattice computation of the $B_{K}$ parameter which controls $K^0-\bar K^0$ oscillations. A partially quenched setup is employed with two maximally twisted dynamical (sea) light Wilson quarks, and valence quarks of both the maximally twisted and the Osterwalder--Seiler variety. Suitable combinations of these two kinds of valence quarks lead to a lattice definition of the $B_{K}$ parameter which is both multiplicatively renormalizable and O($a$) improved. Employing the non-perturbative RI-MOM scheme, in the continuum limit and at the physical value of the pion mass we get $B^{\rm RGI}_K=0.729\pm 0.030$, a number well in line with the existing quenched and unquenched determinations.

Kaon oscillations in the Standard Model and Beyond using Nf=2 dynamical quarks

We compute non-perturbatively the B-parameters of the complete basis of four-fermion operators needed to study the Kaon oscillations in the SM and in its supersymmetric extension. We perform numerical simulations with two dynamical maximally twisted sea quarks at three values of the lattice spacing on configurations generated by the ETMC. Unwanted operator mixings and O(a) discretization effects are removed by discretizing the valence quarks with a suitable Osterwalder-Seiler variant of the Twisted Mass action. Operators are renormalized non-perturbatively in the RI/MOM scheme. Our preliminary result for BK(RGI) is 0.73(3)(3).

Non-perturbative renormalisation of Delta F=2 four-fermion operators in two-flavour QCD

Using Schroedinger Functional methods, we compute the non-perturbative renormalisation and renormalisation group running of several four-fermion operators, in the framework of lattice simulations with two dynamical Wilson quarks. Two classes of operators have been targeted: (i) those with left-left current structure and four propagating quark fields; (ii) all operators containing two static quarks. In both cases, only the parity-odd contributions have been considered, being the ones that renormalise multiplicatively. Our results, once combined with future simulations of the corresponding lattice hadronic matrix elements, may be used for the computation of phenomenological quantities of interest, such as B_K and B_B (the latter also in the static limit).
