Modulational instability of quantum electron-acoustic waves and associated envelope solitons in a degenerate quantum plasma

The basic features of linear and nonlinear quantum electron-acoustic (QEA) waves in a degenerate quantum plasma (containing non-relativistically degenerate electrons, superthermal or $κ$-distributed electrons, and stationary ions) are theoretically investigated. The nonlinear Schödinger (NLS) equation is derived by employing thereductive perturbation method. The stationary solitonic solution of the NLS equation are obtained, and examined analytically as well as numerically to identify the basic features of the QEA envelope solitons. It has been found that the effects of the degeneracy and exchange/Bohm potentials of cold electrons, and superthermality of hot electrons significantly modify the basic properties of linear and nonlinear QEA waves. It is observed that the QEA waves are modulationally unstable for $k<k_c$, where $k_c$ is the maximum (critical) value of the QEA wave number $k$ below which the QEA waves are modulationally unstable), and that for $k<k_c$ the solution of the NLS equation gives rise to the bright envelope solitons, which are found to be localized in both spatial ($ξ$) and time ($τ$) axes. It is also observed that as the spectral index $κ$ is increased, the critical value of the wave number (amplitude of the QEA envelope bright solitons) decreases (increases). The implications of our results should be useful in understanding the localized electrostatic perturbation in solid density plasma produced by irradiating metals by intense laser, semiconductor devices, microelectronics, etc.

Sentiment Analysis on Bangla and Romanized Bangla Text (BRBT) using Deep Recurrent models

Sentiment Analysis (SA) is an action research area in the digital age. With rapid and constant growth of online social media sites and services, and the increasing amount of textual data such as - statuses, comments, reviews etc. available in them, application of automatic SA is on the rise. However, most of the research works on SA in natural language processing (NLP) are based on English language. Despite being the sixth most widely spoken language in the world, Bangla still does not have a large and standard dataset. Because of this, recent research works in Bangla have failed to produce results that can be both comparable to works done by others and reusable as stepping stones for future researchers to progress in this field. Therefore, we first tried to provide a textual dataset - that includes not just Bangla, but Romanized Bangla texts as well, is substantial, post-processed and multiple validated, ready to be used in SA experiments. We tested this dataset in Deep Recurrent model, specifically, Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), using two types of loss functions - binary crossentropy and categorical crossentropy, and also did some experimental pre-training by using data from one validation to pre-train the other and vice versa. Lastly, we documented the results along with some analysis on them, which were promising.

Performance Evaluation of Two-Hop Wireless Link under Nakagami-m Fading

Now-a-days, intense research is going on two-hop wireless link under different fading conditions with its remedial measures. In this paper work, a two-hop link under three different conditions is considered: (i) MIMO on both hops, (ii) MISO in first hop and SIMO in second hop and finally (iii) SIMO in first hop and MISO in second hop. The three models used here give the flexibility of using STBC (Space Time Block Coding) and combining scheme on any of the source to relay (S- R) and relay to destination (R-D) link. Even incorporation of Transmitting Antenna Selection (TAS) is possible on any link. Here, the variation of SER (Symbol Error Rate) is determined against mean SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) of R-D link for three different modulation schemes: BPSK, 8-PSK and 16-PSK, taking the number of antennas and SNR of S-R link as parameters under Nakagami -m fading condition.

Langmuir dark solitons in dense ultrarelativistic electron-positron gravito-plasma in pulsar magnetosphere

Nonlinear propagation of electrostatic modes in ultrarelativistic dense elelectron-positron gravito-plasma at the polar cap region of pulsar magnetosphere is considered. A nonlinear Schrödinger equation is obtained from the reductive perturbation method which predicts the existence of Langmuir dark solitons. Relevance of the propagating dark solitons to the pulsar radio emission is discussed.

Growing electrostatic modes in the isothermal pair plasma of the pulsar magnetosphere

It is shown that a strongly magnetized isothermal pair plasma near the surface of a pulsar supports low-frequency (in comparison to electron cyclotron frequency) toroidal electrostatic plasma modes in the equatorial region. Physically, the thermal pressure coupled with the magnetic pressure creates the low frequency oscillations which may grow for particular case of inhomogeneities of the equilibrium magnetic field and the pair plasma density.
