The Pseudo-Newtonian Force and Potential of the Stringy Black Holes

This paper is devoted to investigate the structure of the pseudo-Newtonian force and potential of the stringy black holes. We discuss conditions for the force character from an attractive to repulsive. It is also found that the force will reach a maximum under certain conditions. Also, the ratio of mass and charge is evaluated for the maximum force.

Kaluza-Klein Cosmology With Modified Holographic Dark Energy

We investigate the compact Kaluza-Klein cosmology in which modified holographic dark energy is interacting with dark matter. Using this scenario, we evaluate equation of state parameter as well as equation of evolution of the modified holographic dark energy. Further, it is shown that the generalized second law of thermodynamics holds without any constraint.

Phantom Accretion by Five Dimensional Charged Black Hole

This paper deals with the dynamical behavior of phantom field near five dimensional charged black hole. We formulate equations of motion for steady-state spherically symmetric flow of phantom fluids. It is found that phantom energy accretes onto black holes for $u<0$. Further, the location of critical point of accretion are evaluated that leads to mass to charge ratio for 5D charged black hole. This ratio implies that accretion cannot transform a black hole into a naked singularity. We would like to mention here that this work is an irreducible extension of 4D charged black hole.

F(T) Models within Bianchi Type I Universe

In this paper, we consider spatially homogenous and anisotropic Bianchi type I universe in the context of F(T) gravity. We construct some corresponding models using conservation equation and equation of state parameter representing different phases of the universe. In particular, we take matter dominated era, radiation dominated era, present dark energy phase and their combinations. It is found that one of the models has a constant solution which may correspond to the cosmological constant. We also derive equation of state parameter by using two well-known F(T) models and discuss cosmic acceleration.

Kaluza-Klein Cosmology with Varying G and $Λ$

In this paper we investigate non-compact FRW type Kaluza-Klein cosmology coupled with 5D energy-momentum tensor. The field equations are solved by taking gravitational and cosmological constants as a function of time $t$. We use $Λ(t)=εH^{2}$ to explore cosmological parameters including statefinder and discuss them for dust, radiation and stiff matter dominated eras. Also, we evaluate lookback time, proper distance, luminosity distance and angular diameter distance. We obtain a universe which is not compatible with current cosmological observations at $ε=6$. However, for $ε>6$, the results are compatible with observational cosmology.

Anisotropic Fluid and Bianchi Type III Model in f(R) Gravity

This paper is devoted to study the Bianchi type III model in the presence of anisotropic fluid in f(R) gravity. Exponential and power-law volumetric expansions are used to obtain exact solutions of the field equations. We discuss the physical behavior of the solutions and anisotropy behavior of the fluid, the expansion parameter and the model in future evolution of the universe.

Hot Plasma Waves Surrounding the Schwarzschild Event Horizon in a Veselago Medium

This paper investigates wave properties of hot plasma in a Veselago medium. For the Schwarzschild black hole, the $3+1$ GRMHD equations are re-formulated which are linearly perturbed and then Fourier analyzed for rotating (non-magnetized and magnetized) plasmas. The graphs of wave vector, refractive index and change in refractive are used to discuss the wave properties. The results obtained confirm the presence of Veselago medium for both rotating (non-magnetized and magnetized) plasmas. This work generalized the isothermal plasma waves in the Veselago medium to hot plasma case.

Kinematic Self-Similar Heat Conducting and Charge Solutions

The objective of this paper is to study the plane symmetric kinematic self-similar heat conducting fluid and charge dust solutions of the Einstein field equations. These solutions are classified according to self-similarity of the first, second, zeroth and infinite kinds with different equations of state. We take the self-similar vector to be tilted, orthogonal and parallel to the fluid flow. For heat conducting fluid, it is found that there exist only \emph{one} solution in parallel case. In all other possibilities, these solutions reduce to the perfect fluid kinematic self-similar solutions. For charge dust case, we also obtain only \emph{one} kinematic self-similar solution.

Energy of Bardeen Model Using Approximate Symmetry Method

In this paper, we investigate the energy problem in general relativity using approximate Lie symmetry methods for differential equations. This procedure is applied to Bardeen model (the regular black hole solution). Here we are forced to evaluate the third-order approximate symmetries of the orbital and geodesic equations. It is shown that energy must be re-scaled by some factor in the third-order approximation. We discuss the insights of this re-scaling factor.

Non-vacuum Solutions of Bianchi Type VI_0 Universe in f(R) Gravity

In this paper, we solve the field equations in metric f(R) gravity for Bianchi type VI_0 spacetime and discuss evolution of the expanding universe. We find two types of non-vacuum solutions by taking isotropic and anisotropic fluids as the source of matter and dark energy. The physical behavior of these solutions is analyzed and compared in the future evolution with the help of some physical and geometrical parameters. It is concluded that in the presence of isotropic fluid, the model has singularity at $\tilde{t}=0$ and represents continuously expanding shearing universe currently entering into phantom phase. In anisotropic fluid, the model has no initial singularity and exhibits the uniform accelerating expansion. However, the spacetime does not achieve isotropy as $t\rightarrow\infty$ in both of these solutions.

Gravitational Collapse: Expanding and Collapsing Regions

We investigate the expanding and collapsing regions by taking two well-known spherically symmetric spacetimes. For this purpose, the general formalism is developed by using Israel junction conditions for arbitrary spacetimes. This has been used to obtain the surface energy density and the tangential pressure. The minimal pressure provides the gateway to explore the expanding and collapsing regions. We take Minkowski and Kantowski-Sachs spacetimes and use the general formulation to investigate the expanding and collapsing regions of the shell.

Charged Cylindrical Collapse of Anisotropic Fluid

Following the scheme developed by Misner and Sharp, we discuss the dynamics of gravitational collapse. For this purpose, an interior cylindrically symmetric spacetime is matched to an exterior charged static cylindrically symmetric spacetime using the Darmois matching conditions. Dynamical equations are obtained with matter dissipating in the form of shear viscosity. The effect of charge and dissipative quantities over the cylindrical collapse are studied. Finally, we show that homogeneity in energy density and conformal flatness of spacetime are necessary and sufficient for each other.

Effects of f(R) Dark Energy on Dissipative Anisotropic Collapsing Fluid

The purpose of this paper is to study the effects of dark energy on dynamics of the collapsing fluid within the framework of metric f(R) gravity. The fluid distribution is assumed to be locally anisotropic and undergoing dissipation in the form of heat flow, null radiations and shear viscosity. For this purpose, we take general spherical symmetric spacetime. Dynamical equations are obtained and also some special solutions are found by considering shearing expansionfree evolution of the fluid. It is found that dark energy affects the mass of the collapsing matter and rate of collapse but does not affect the hydrostatic equilibrium.

Dynamics of Charged Plane Symmetric Gravitational Collapse

In this paper, we study dynamics of the charged plane symmetric gravitational collapse. For this purpose, we discuss non-adiabatic flow of a viscous fluid and deduce the results for adiabatic case. The Einstein and Maxwell field equations are formulated for general plane symmetric spacetime in the interior. Junction conditions between the interior and exterior regions are derived. For the non-adiabatic case, the exterior is taken as plane symmetric charged Vaidya spacetime while for the adiabatic case, it is described by plane Reissner-Nordstr$\ddot{o}$m spacetime. Using Misner and Sharp formalism, we obtain dynamical equations to investigate the effects of different forces over the rate of collapse. In non-adiabatic case, a dynamical equation is joined with transport equation of heat flux. Finally, a relation between the Weyl tensor and energy density is found.

Effects of Electromagnetic Field on the Dynamics of Bianchi type $VI_0$ Universe with Anisotropic Dark Energy

Spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type $VI_0$ cosmological models with cosmological constant are investigated in the presence of anisotropic dark energy. We examine the effects of electromagnetic field on the dynamics of the universe and anisotropic behavior of dark energy. The law of variation of the mean Hubble parameter is used to find exact solutions of the Einstein field equations. We find that electromagnetic field promotes anisotropic behavior of dark energy which becomes isotropic for future evolution. It is concluded that the isotropic behavior of the universe model is seen even in the presence of electromagnetic field and anisotropic fluid.

Quantum Corrections for a Bardeen Regular Black Hole

In this paper, we study the quantum corrections to the thermodynamical quantities (temperature and entropy) for a Bardeen charged regular black hole by using a quantum tunneling approach over semiclassical approximations. Taking into account the quantum effects, the semiclassical Bekenstein-Hawking temperature and the area law are obtained, which are then used in the first law of thermodynamics to evaluate corrections to these quantities. It is interesting to mention here that these corrections reduce to the corresponding corrections for the Schwarzschild black hole when the charge $e=0$.

Gravitational Perfect Fluid Collapse in f(R) Gravity

In this paper, we investigate spherically symmetric perfect fluid gravitational collapse in metric $f(R)$ gravity. We take non-static spherically symmetric metric in the interior region and static spherically symmetric metric in the exterior region of a star. The junction conditions between interior and exterior spacetimes are derived. The field equations in f(R) theory are solved using the assumption of constant Ricci scalar. Inserting their solution into junction conditions, the gravitational mass is found. Further, the apparent horizons and their time of formation is discussed. We conclude that the constant scalar curvature term f(R_0) acts as a source of repulsive force and thus slows down the collapse of matter. The comparison with the corresponding results available in general relativity indicates that f(R_0) plays the role of the cosmological constant.
