dexamine: A Python package for Uniswap event data on Ethereum

Decentralized exchanges record trading and liquidity provision on public blockchains, but empirical analysis requires interpreting these records and linking them to execution metadata. dexamine is a Python package that parses Uniswap v2 and v3 events on Ethereum. It converts transaction receipt logs into observations of trades and liquidity changes, with token quantities, pool state, transaction order, and gas information. The package separates data retrieval, contract metadata, protocol interpretation, and output construction. The repository provides recorded Ethereum responses and an offline reproducible example, and version 1 has been used to construct data for an empirical study of price discovery in decentralized markets.

Evolution of topics in central bank speech communication

This paper studies the content of central bank speech communication from 1997 through 2020 and asks the following questions: (i) What global topics do central banks talk about? (ii) How do these topics evolve over time? I turn to natural language processing, and more specifically Dynamic Topic Models, to answer these questions. The analysis consists of an aggregate study of nine major central banks and a case study of the Federal Reserve, which allows for region specific control variables. I show that: (i) Central banks address a broad range of topics. (ii) The topics are well captured by Dynamic Topic Models. (iii) The global topics exhibit strong and significant autoregressive properties not easily explained by financial control variables.

Towards precision determination of uPDFs

The unintegrated Parton Density Function of the gluon is obtained from a fit to dijet production in DIS as measured at HERA. Reasonable descriptions of the measurements are obtained, and a first attempt to constrain the intrinsic transverse momentum distribution at small kt is presented
