Using CoCalc as a Training Tool for Mathematics Teachers Pre-Service Training

This paper deals with the problem of theoretical justification and development of scientific and methodological support for using the cloud service CoCalc as a tool for the formation of mathematics teachers professional competencies. The paper describes the professional training of mathematics teachers in universities of Ukraine, and considers the national and foreign experience of using the cloud-based services in mathematics teachers pre-service training and also the tendencies and prospects of using CoCalc in teaching mathematical disciplines. The process of system design of mathematics teachers professional competencies is characterized, and the model of using the cloud service CoCalc as a tool for forming mathematics teachers professional competencies is developed. The indicators and levels (high, sufficient, medium, low) were identified for each component of the pre-service mathematics teachers professional competence system within the proposed model. The method of using CoCalc as a tool for forming professional competencies of mathematics teachers is developed and its basic components such as purpose, content, tools, methods and results are elaborated. Information regarding the stages of research and also the experimental work objectives and content are presented; the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the main stages (ascertaining, formative) of the pedagogical experiment is performed, confirming the hypothesis of the study.

The Design and Evaluation of the Cloud-based Learning Components with the Use of the Systems of Computer Mathematics

In the article the problems of the systems of computer mathematics use as a tool for the students learning and research activities support are investigated. The promising ways of providing access to the mathematical software in the university learning and research environment are considered. The special aspects of pedagogical applications of these systems to support operations research study in the process of bachelors of informatics training are defined. The design and evaluation of the cloud-based learning components with the use of the systems of computer mathematics (on the example of Maxima system) as enchasing the investigative approach to learning of engineering and mathematics disciplines and increasing the pedagogical outcomes is justified. The set of psychological and pedagogical and also technological criteria of evaluation is substantiated. The results of pedagogical experiment are provided. The analysis and evaluation of existing experience of mathematical software use both in local and cloud-based settings is proposed.

The Learning Technique of the SageMathCloud Use for Students Collaboration Support

The article describes the advisable ways of the cloud-based systems use to support students collaboration in the process of math disciplines learning. The SageMathCloud-based component that aggregates electronic resources for several math disciplines training is introduced. The learning technique of the SageMathCloud use in the process of educational staff training is proposed. The expediency of this technique implementation for more active take up of innovative approaches, forms and methods of math training with the use of the cloud-based tools is substantiated. The experimental results of the SageMathCloud learning component introduction research along with the methods of its use that were elaborated in the course of the study are presented. The use of the evidence-based technique as improving the educational environment of the univer-sity, empowering access to electronic learning resources in the course of math training and engaging with this the educational community and also rising their ICT competence is grounded.

The Systems of Computer Mathematics in the Cloud-Based Learning Environment of Educational Institutions

The article highlights the promising ways of providing access to the mathematical software in higher educational institutions. It is emphasized that the cloud computing services implementation is the actual trend of modern ICT pedagogical systems development. The analysis and evaluation of existing ex-perience and educational research of different types of mathematical software packages use are proposed. The methodological guidance on the organization of the cloud-based learning environment in higher educational institutions using the systems of computer mathematics (SCM) is outlined. The advantages and disadvantages of different cloud service models of access to SCM are de-scribed. The cloud-based learning component with the use of Maxima system is described and evaluated.

The Methodical Aspects of the Algebra and the Mathematical Analysis Study Using the Sagemath Cloud

The quality of mathematics education depends largely on the quality of education in general. The main idea may be summarized as follows: in order to educate the younger generation of people to be able to meet adequately the demands of the time, it is necessary to create conditions for the high-quality mathematics education. Improving the quality of mathematics education of pupils in secondary school is one of the most pressing problems. Contents of the school course of mathematics and its teaching method has always been the subject of undammed and sometimes stormy scientific debates. There are especially true methods of teaching algebra and the analisis in the high secondary school. Still in the study process the algebraic concepts and principles of analysis are given in such an abstract and generalized form that the student may has considerable difficulties to map these general abstract concepts to the certain concrete images, they are generalizations of. Improving education quality indicators can be achieved by using the appropriate computer technology. The article deals with the use of the cloud-oriented systems of computer mathematics (SCM). The prospects of development of the Web-SCM in terms of cloud-based learning environment are considered. The pedagogical features of the SageMath Cloud use as a tool for mathematics learning are revealed. The methodological aspects of algebra and elementary analysis teaching in a high profile school using the cloud-oriented the SCM SageMath Cloud are revealed.

CoCalc as a Learning Tool for Neural Network Simulation in the Special Course "Foundations of Mathematic Informatics"

The role of neural network modeling in the learning content of the special course "Foundations of Mathematical Informatics" was discussed. The course was developed for the students of technical universities - future IT-specialists and directed to breaking the gap between theoretic computer science and it's applied applications: software, system and computing engineering. CoCalc was justified as a learning tool of mathematical informatics in general and neural network modeling in particular. The elements of technique of using CoCalc at studying topic "Neural network and pattern recognition" of the special course "Foundations of Mathematic Informatics" are shown. The program code was presented in a CoffeeScript language, which implements the basic components of artificial neural network: neurons, synaptic connections, functions of activations (tangential, sigmoid, stepped) and their derivatives, methods of calculating the network's weights, etc. The features of the Kolmogorov-Arnold representation theorem application were discussed for determination the architecture of multilayer neural networks. The implementation of the disjunctive logical element and approximation of an arbitrary function using a three-layer neural network were given as an examples. According to the simulation results, a conclusion was made as for the limits of the use of constructed networks, in which they retain their adequacy. The framework topics of individual research of the artificial neural networks is proposed.
