Wellposedness and asymptotic behavior of solutions for the quintic wave equation with nonlocal dissipation

We investigate a semilinear wave equation with energy-critical nonlinearity and a nonlinear damping mechanism driven by the total energy of the system. The model combines the quintic defocusing term with a time-dependent dissipation of the form E(t)u_t, which introduces a nonstandard feedback structure coupling the dynamics and the energy functional. Weak solutions are constructed via Galerkin approximations, with the passage to the limit relying on uniform energy estimates and compactness arguments. Special attention is devoted to the critical nature of the nonlinearity, where concentration phenomena prevent purely energy-based methods from yielding refined spacetime control. This difficulty is resolved by incorporating nonhomogeneous Strichartz estimates together with smoothly truncated spectral approximations, ensuring uniform bound at the dispersive level. Finally, we establish polynomial decay rates for the energy by adapting Nakao's method to the present nonlinear dissipative framework. The results highlight the stabilizing effect of the energy-dependent damping and its interaction with the critical wave dynamics.

Stabilization of weakly coupled viscoelastic Kirchhoff plate and wave equations

In this paper, we consider a weakly coupled system consisting of a viscoelastic Kirchhoff plate equation involving free boundary conditions and the viscoelastic wave equation with Dirichlet boundary conditions in a bounded domain. By assuming a more general type of relaxation functions, we establish explicit and general decay rate results, using the multiplier method and some properties of the convex functions.

Semi-classical defect measure and internal stabilization for the semilinear wave equation subject to Zarembaboundary conditions

In this article we exploite the uniform decay for damped linear wave equation with Zaremba boundary condition, obtained in a previous work, to treat the same problem in nonlinear context. We need a uniqueness assumption, usual for this type of nonlinear problem. The result is deduced from an observation estimate for nonlinear problem proved by a contradiction argument.

Well-posedness and stability for Schrödinger equations with infinite memory

We study in this paper the well-posedness and stability for two linear Schrödinger equations in $d$-dimensional open bounded domain under Dirichlet boundary conditions with an infinite memory. First, we establish the well-posedness in the sens of semigroup theory. Then, a decay estimate depending on the smoothness of initial data and the arbitrarily growth at infinity of the relaxation function is established for each equation with the help of multipliers method.
