Super $T\bar{T}$ deformation and the RNS non-critical superstring

In this paper we review the super $T\bar{T}$ deformation of $\mathcal{N}=(1,1)$ theories in the superspace formulation, alongside its interpretation in the context of noncritical string theory. By combining the superspace approach with concepts from the study of super-Riemann surfaces, we demonstrate that super $T\bar{T}$ deformations in superspace can be naturally interpreted as a noncritical RNS superstring theory. We also propose a possible interpretation of the super $T\bar{T}$ deformations as 2D supergravity in the superspace through some field redefinitions.

Penrose limits and TsT for fibered $I$-branes

In this paper we analyze a generalized "single-trace $T\bar T$" deformation, defined by a TsT transformation, of the fibered $I$-brane solution from \cite{Nunez2023}. We use the Penrose limit to understand it, and we consider both the TsT followed by the Penrose limit, as well as the Penrose limit followed by TsT. We describe the spin chains obtained in field theory. In the first case we find that, indeed, the TsT transformation preserves solvability in a simple way, as in the standard $T\bar T$ case. In the second case, we have several options, but none is simple enough to be conclusive, however, one case gives us an asymptotically free and IR nontrivial field theory sector, and another a new parallelizable pp wave.

Penrose limit of T-dual of MNa solution and dual orbifold field theory

In this paper we study the Penrose limit of the T-dual of the MNa solution and its field theory dual, in order to better understand the effect of T-duality in this case. We find a matching of string pp wave oscillators and their masses to the field theory modes, that are rearranged after T-duality. The effect of T-duality on the long "annulon-type" operators is found, as a symmetry of the 2+1 dimensional confining theory with spontaneous susy breaking.

Commutators of random matrices from the unitary and orthogonal groups

We investigate the statistical properties of $C=uvu^{-1}v^{-1}$, when $u$ and $v$ are independent random matrices, uniformly distributed with respect to the Haar measure of the groups $U(N)$ and $O(N)$. An exact formula is derived for the average value of power sum symmetric functions of $C$, and also for products of the matrix elements of $C$, similar to Weingarten functions. The density of eigenvalues of $C$ is shown to become constant in the large-$N$ limit, and the first $N^{-1}$ correction is found.

Penrose limit of MNa solution and spin chains in three-dimensional field theories

In three dimensions, a theory with spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry was described holographically by the Maldacena-Nastase (MNa) solution. We revisit the issue of its Penrose limit, and compare the resulting pp wave and its string eigenstates to a sector of the theory on 5-branes reduced on $S^3$, and a spin chain-like system. We obtain many of the features of the pp wave analysis, but a complete matching still eludes us. We suggest possible explanations for the resulting partial mismatch, and compare against other spin chains for 3-dimensional field theories with gravity duals.
