We consider a quasilinear elliptic equation with right hand side measure, in which the lower order term has a behavior of jumping type. By means of techniques of degree theory, we prove the existence of one or two entropy solutions.
In this paper we prove the existence of an optimal set for the minimization of the $k$-th variational eigenvalue of the $p$-Laplacian among $p$-quasi open sets of fixed measure included in a box of finite measure. An analogous existence result is obtained for eigenvalues of the $p$-Laplacian associated with Schrödinger potentials. In order to deal with these nonlinear shape optimization problems, we develop a general approach which allows to treat the continuous dependence of the eigenvalues of the $p$-Laplacian associated with sign-changing capacitary measures under $γ$-convergence.
We prove an existence result for a quasilinear elliptic equation satisfying natural growth conditions. As a consequence, we deduce an existence result for a quasilinear elliptic equation containing a singular drift. A key tool, in the proof, is the study of an auxiliary variational inequality playing the role of "natural constraint"
We prove the existence of multiple solutions for a quasilinear elliptic equation containing a term with natural growth, under assumptions that are invariant by diffeomorphism. To this purpose we develop an adaptation of degree theory.
The existence of a nontrivial solution is proved for a class of quasilinear elliptic equations involving, as principal part, either the p-Laplace operator or the operator related to the p-area functional, and a nonlinearity with p-linear growth at infinity. To this aim, Morse theory techniques are combined with critical groups estimates.
We consider a quasilinear elliptic equation, with right hand side measure, which does not satisfy the usual coercivity assumption. We prove an existence result in the line of the Fredholm alternative. For this purpose we develop a variant of degree theory suited to this setting.
We study the behavior of the variational eigenvalues of the p-Laplace operator, with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition, when p is varying. After introducing an auxiliary problem, we characterize the continuity answering, in particular, a question raised in [Lindqvist, 1993].
