Revisiting a family of five-dimensional charged, rotating black holes

In the absence of a higher-dimensional analogue to the Kerr-Newman black hole, 5-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theory with a Chern-Simons term has become a natural setting for studying charged, stationary solutions. A prominent example is the Chong-Cvetič-Lü-Pope (CCLP) solution, which describes a non-extremal black hole with electric charge and two independent angular momenta. This solution has been widely studied, and generalizations have been proposed. In this paper, we revisit a large family of five-dimensional black hole solutions to Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons (EMCS) field equations, which admits to be written in terms of a generalized Plebański-Demiański ansatz and includes the CCLP and the Kerr-NUT-Anti-de Sitter solutions as particular cases. We show that the complete family can be brought to the CCLP form by means of a suitable coordinate transformation and a complex redefinition of parameters. Then, we compute the conserved charges associated to the CCLP form of the metric by analyzing the near-horizon asymptotic symmetries. We show that the zero-mode of the near-horizon charges exactly match the result of the Komar integrals.

Double-extended Kerr-Schild form for $5D$ electrovacuum solutions

Five-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons equations are investigated in the framework of an extended Kerr-Schild strategy to search for black holes solutions. The fulfillment of Einstein equations constrains the Chern-Simons coupling constant to a value determined by the trace of the energy-momentum tensor of the electromagnetic configuration.

Complexifying the spacetime algebra by means of an extra timelike dimension: Pin, Spin and algebraic spinors

Because of the isomorphism ${C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{1,3}(\Bbb{C})\cong{C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{2,3}(\Bbb{R})$, it is possible to complexify the spacetime Clifford algebra ${C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{1,3}(\Bbb{R})$ by adding one additional timelike dimension to the Minkowski spacetime. In a recent work we showed how this treatment provide a particular interpretation of Dirac particles and antiparticles in terms of the new temporal dimension. In this article we thoroughly study the structure of the real Clifford algebra ${C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{2,3}(\Bbb{R})$ paying special attention to the isomorphism ${C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{1,3}(\Bbb{C})\cong{C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{2,3}(\Bbb{R})$ and the embedding ${C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{1,3}(\Bbb{R})\subseteq{C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{2,3}(\Bbb{R})$. On the first half of this article we analyze the Pin and Spin groups and construct an injective mapping $\operatorname{Pin}(1,3)\hookrightarrow\operatorname{Spin}(2,3)$, obtaining in particular elements in $\operatorname{Spin}(2,3)$ that represent parity and time reversal. On the second half of this paper we study the spinor space of the algebra and prove that the usual structure of complex spinors in ${C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{1,3}(\Bbb{C})$ is reproduced by the Clifford conjugation inner product for real spinors in ${C \kern -0.1em \ell}_{2,3}(\Bbb{R})$.

Particle-antiparticle duality from an extra time-like dimension

It is a well known fact that the usual complex structure on the real Clifford Algebra (CA) of Minkowski spacetime can be obtained by adding an extra time-like dimension, instead of the usual complexification of the algebra. In this article we explore the consequences of this approach and reinterpret known results in this new context. We observe that Dirac particles and antiparticles at rest can be interpreted as eigenstates of the generator of rotations in the plane formed by the two time-like coordinates and find an effective finite scale for the extra dimension when no EM fields are present (without postulating compactness). In the case of non-vanishing EM fields, we find a gauge condition to preserve such a scale.

Álgebras y grupos de Clifford, espinores algebraicos y aplicaciones a la física

In these notes we introduce the Clifford algebra of a quadratic space using techniques from universal algebra and algebraic theory of quadratic forms. We also define the Clifford, Pin and Spin groups associated to the algebra, and study how they relate to the isommetry group of the original quadratic space. Lastly we introduce the algebraic spinors space as a minimal left ideal (equivalently an irreducible representation) over the Clifford algebra, and mention its application in physics.

The Heisenberg spinor field classification and its interplay with the Lounesto's classification

Dirac linear spinor fields were obtained from non-linear Heisenberg spinors, in the literature. Here we extend that idea by considering not only Dirac spinor fields but spinor fields in any of the Lounesto's classes. When one starts considering all these classes of fields, the question of providing a classification for the Heisenberg spinor naturally arises. In this work the classification of Heisenberg spinor fields is derived and scrutinized, in its interplay with the Lounesto's spinor field classification.

Emission of primordial bosonic radiation during inflation

We study the emission of neutral massless $(1, 2)\hbar$-spin bosons during power-law inflation using unified spinor field theory. We shows that during inflation gravitons and photons were emitted with wavelengths (on physical coordinates) that increase as the Hubble radius: $λ_{Ph} \sim a/H$. The quantised action related to these bosons is calculated and results to be a fraction of the Planck constant.

Geometric back-reaction in pre-inflation from relativistic quantum geometry

The pre-inflationary evolution of the universe describes the beginning of the expansion from a static initial state, such that the Hubble parameter is initially zero, but increases to an asymptotic constant value, in which it could achieve a de Sitter (inflationary) expansion. The expansion is driven by a background phantom field. The back-reaction effects at this moment should describe vacuum geometrical excitations, which are studied with detail in this work using Relativistic Quantum Geometry.

Charged and electromagnetic fields from relativistic quantum geometry

In the Relativistic Quantum Geometry (RQG) formalism recently introduced, was explored the possibility that the variation of the tensor metric can be done in a Weylian integrable manifold using a geometric displacement, from a Riemannian to a Weylian integrable manifold, described by the dynamics of an auxiliary geometrical scalar field $θ$, in order that the Einstein tensor (and the Einstein equations) can be represented on a Weyl-like manifold. In this framework we study jointly the dynamics of electromagnetic fields produced by quantum complex vector fields, which describes charges without charges. We demonstrate that complex fields act as a source of tetra-vector fields which describe an extended Maxwell dynamics.
