Influence of dark matter on black hole scalar hair

Searches for {\it dark matter} sector field imprints on the astrophysical phenomena are one of the most active branches of the current researches. Using numerical methods we elaborate the influence of {\it dark matter} on the emergence of black hole hair and formation of boson stars. We explore thermodynamics of different states of the system in Einstein-Maxwell-scalar {\it dark matter} theory with box boundary conditions. Finally we find that the presence of dark sector within the system diminishes a chance of formation of scalar hair around a black hole.

Conductivity bound of the strongly interacting and disordered graphene from gauge/gravity duality

The carriers in graphene tuned close to the Dirac point envisage signatures of the strongly interacting fluid and are subject to hydrodynamic description. The important question is whether strong disorder induces the metal-insulator transition in this two-dimensional material. The bound on the conductivity tensor found earlier within the single current description, implies that the system does not feature metal-insulator transition. The linear spectrum of the graphene imposes the phase-space constraints and calls for the two-current description of interacting electron and hole liquids. Based on the gauge/gravity correspondence, using the linear response of the black brane with broken translation symmetry in Einstein-Maxwell gravity with the auxiliary U(1)-gauge field, responsible for the second current, we have calculated the lower bound of the DC-conductivity in holographic model of graphene. The calculations show that the bound on the conductivity depends on the coupling between both U(1) fields and for a physically justified range of parameters it departs only weakly from the value found for a model with the single U(1) field.

DC conductivities and Stokes flows in Dirac semimetals

In the holographic model of Dirac semimetals being the Einstein-Maxwell scalar gravity with the auxiliary $U(1)$-gauge field, coupled to the ordinary Maxwell one by {\it kinetic mixing } term, the black brane response to the electric fields and temperature gradient has been elaborated. Using the foliation by hypersurfaces of constant radial coordinate we derive the exact form of the Hamiltonian and equations of motion in the considered phase space. Examination of the Hamiltonian constraints enables us, to the leading order expansion of the linearised perturbations at the black brane event horizon, to derive Stokes equations for incompressible doubly charged fluid. Solving the aforementioned equations, one arrives at the DC conductivities for the holographic Dirac semimetals.

Primordial density fluctuations generated by wormholes

We studied the influence of a wormhole existing in the expanding Universe and passing through the horizon volume on the energy density of the Universe. The two-point correlation function of a free massless scalar field mimicking the inflaton was found. The revealed violation of the translation invariance during the process in question might be potentially envisaged in the anisotropy in cosmic microwave background radiation map.

Ultra-compact spherically symmetric dark matter charged star objects

We study the properties of ultra-compact spherically symmetric dark matter sector star objects, being the solution of Einstein equations with two $U(1)$-gauge fields. One of them is the ordinary Maxwell field, while the auxiliary gauge field pertains to the hidden sector, and mimics the properties of dark matter. The visible and hidden sectors are coupled by a kinetic mixing term with a coupling constant $α$. We also investigate the possibility of condensation of charged scalar field around the reflecting dark matter star object. It happens that dark matter sector, both dark matter charge and coupling constant, cause shrinking of the star radius for which the condensation may occur.

Magnetotransport of Weyl semimetals with $\mathbb{Z}_2$ topological charge and chiral anomaly

We calculate the magnetoconductivity of the Weyl semimetal with $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry and chiral anomaly utilizing the recently developed hydrodynamic theory. The system in question will be influenced by magnetic fields connected with ordinary Maxwell and the second $U(1)$-gauge field, which is responsible for anomalous topological charge. The presence of chiral anomaly and $\mathbb{Z}_2$ anomalous charge endow the system with new transport coefficients. We start with the linear perturbations of the hydrodynamic equations and calculate the magnetoconductivity of this system. The holographic approach in the probe limit is implemented to obtain the explicit dependence of the longitudinal magnetoconductivities on the magnetic fields.

Hydrodynamics of topological Dirac semi-metals with chiral and $\mathbb{Z}_2$ anomalies

We consider the hydrodynamical model of topological Dirac semi-metal possessing two Dirac nodes separated in momentum space along a rotation axis. It has been argued that the system in question, except the chiral anomaly, is endowed with the other one $\mathbb{Z}_2$. In order to model such a system we introduce two $U(1)$-gauge fields. The presence of the additional $\mathbb{Z}_2$ anomaly leads to the non-trivial modifications of hydrodynamical equations and to the appearance of new kinetic coefficients bounded with the vorticity and the magnetic parts of Maxwell and auxiliary $U(1)$-gauge fields.

Dark matter influence on black hole objects thermodynamics

Physical process version of the first law of black hole thermodynamics in Einstein- Maxwell dark matter gravity was derived. The dark matter sector is mimicked by the additional U(1)-gauge field coupled to the ordinary Maxwell one. By considering any cross section of the black hole event horizon to the future of the bifurcation surface, the equilibrium state version of the first law of black hole mechanics was achieved. The considerations were generalized to the case of Einstein- Yang-Mills dark matter gravity theory. The main conclusion is that the influence of dark matter is crucial in the formation process of black objects. This fact may constitute the explanation of the recent observations of the enormous mass of the super luminous quasars formed in a relatively short time after Big Bang. We also pay attention to the compact binaries thermodynamics, when dark matter sector enters the game.

Dark matter cosmic string in the gravitational field of a black hole

We examined analytically and proposed a numerical model of an Abelian Higgs dark matter vortex in the spacetime of a stationary axisymmetric Kerr black hole. In analytical calculations the dark matter sector was modeled by an addition of a U (1)-gauge field coupled to the visible sector. The backreaction analysis revealed that the impact of the dark vortex presence is far more complicated than causing only a deficit angle. The vortex causes an ergosphere shift and the event horizon velocity is also influenced by its presence. These phenomena are more significant than in the case of a visible vortex sector. The area of the event horizon of a black hole is diminished and this decline is larger in comparison to the Kerr black hole with an Abelian Higgs vortex case. After analyzing the gravitational properties for the general setup, we focused on the subset of models that are motivated by particle physics. We retained the Abelian Higgs model as a description of the dark matter sector (this sector contained a heavy dark photon and an additional complex scalar) and added a real scalar representing the real component of the Higgs doublet in the unitary gauge, as well as an additional U (1)-gauge field representing an ordinary electromagnetic field. Moreover, we considered two coupling channels between the visible and dark sectors, which were the kinetic mixing between the gauge fields and a quartic coupling between the scalar fields. After solving the equations of motion for the matter fields numerically we analyzed properties of the cosmic string in the dark matter sector and its influence on the visible sector fields that are directly coupled to it. We found out that the presence of the cosmic string induced spatial variation in the vacuum expectation value of the Higgs field and a nonzero electromagnetic field around the black hole.

Uniqueness of higher-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-phantom dilaton wormholes

The uniqueness of static spherically symmetric traversable wormholes with two asymptotically flat ends, subject to the higher-dimensional solutions of Einstein-Maxwell-phantom dilaton field equations was proved. We considered the case of an arbitrary dilaton coupling constant. Conformal positive energy theorem plays the key role in the considerations.

Two interacting current model of holographic Dirac fluid in graphene

The electrons in graphene for energies close to the Dirac point have been found to form strongly interacting fluid. Taking this fact into account we have extended previous work on the transport properties of graphene by taking into account possible interactions between the currents and adding the external magnetic field directed perpendicularly to the graphene sheet. The perpendicular mag- netic field B severely modifies the transport parameters. In the present approach the quantization of the spectrum and formation of Landau levels is ignored. Gauge/gravity duality has been used in the probe limit. The dependence on the charge density of the Seebeck coefficient and thermo-electric parameters αij nicely agree with recent experimental data for graphene. The holographic model allows for the interpretation of one of the fields representing the currents as resulting from the dark matter sector. For the studied geometry with electric field perpendicular to the thermal gradient the effect of dark sector has been found to modify the transport parameters but mostly in a quantitative way only. This makes difficult the detection of this elusive component of the Universe by studying transport properties of graphene.

Based on the rigid positive energy theorem we proved the uniqueness of static spherically symmetric traversable wormholes with two asymptotically flat ends, being the higher-dimensional solutions of Einstein scalar phantom field. The proof is valid under the auxiliary condition imposed on wormhole mass and scalar charge.

Holographic calcualtion of the magneto-transport coefficients in Dirac semimetals

Based on the gauge/gravity correspondence we have calculated the thermoelectric kinetic and transport characteristics of the strongly interacting materials in the presence of perpendicular magnetic field. The 3+1 dimensional system with Dirac-like spectrum is considered as a strongly interacting one if it is close to the particle-hole symmetry point. Transport in such system has been modeled by the two interacting vector fields. In the holographic theory the momentum relaxation is caused by axion field and leads to finite values of the direct current transport coefficients. We have calculated conductivity tensor in the presence of mutually perpendicular electric and magnetic fields and temperature gradient. The geometry differs from that in which magnetic field lies in the same plane as an electric one and temperature gradient.

Viscosity bound for anisotropic superfluids with dark matter sector

The shear viscosity to the entropy density ratio $η/s$ of the anisotropic superfluid has been calculated by means of the gauge/gravity duality in the presence of the {\it dark matter} sector. The {\it dark matter} has been described by the Yang-Mills field analogous to the one describing visible matter sector and it is assumed to interact with the visible field with coupling constant $α$. Close to the superfluid transition temperature ($T_c$) the analytical solution has been given up to the leading order in a symmetry breaking parameter and the ratio of the gravitational constant and Yang-Mils coupling. The tensor element of ratio $η/s$ remains unaffected by the {\it dark matter} for the viscosity tensor in the plane perpendicular to the symmetry breaking direction (here $yz$). The temperature dependence and the linear correction in $(1-α)$ in the plane containing this direction (here $xy$) was also revealed. The correction linearly vanishes for temperature tending to the critical one $T\rightarrow T_c$.

Angular momentum, mass and charge inequalities for black holes in Einstein-Maxwell gravity with dark matter sector

Angular momentum and mass-charge inequalities for axisymmetric maximal time-symmetric initial data in Einstein-Maxwell gravity with dark matter sector were derived. The dark matter sector is mimicked by another U(1)-gauge field coupled to the ordinary Maxwell one. We assume that data set with two asymptotically flat regions is given on smooth simply connected manifold. One also pays attention to the area momentum charge inequalities for a closed orientable two-dimensional spacelike surface embedded in the spacetime of the considered theory. It turned out that the addition of dark matter sector influences to the great extent on the growth of the black hole masses. This fact may be responsible for the existence of the recently detected supermassive objects at relatively short time after Big Bang. The inequalities binding the charge of the body (black hole) and its size were also investigated. It turns out that the estimation depends on the coupling constant of the ordinary matter to the dark matter sector.

Static configurations and evolution of higher dimensional brane-dilaton black hole system

Static configurations and a dynamical evolution of the system composed of a higher-dimensional spherically symmetric dilaton black hole and the Dirac-Goto-Nambu brane were investigated. The studies were conducted for three values of the dilaton coupling constant, describing the uncoupled case, the low-energy limit of the string theory and dimensionally reduced Klein-Kaluza theories. When the black hole is nonextremal, two types of static configurations are observed, a brane which intersects the black hole horizon and a brane not having any common points with the accompanying black hole. As the number of spacetime dimensions increases, the brane bend in the vicinity of the black hole disappears closer to its horizon. Dynamical evolution of the system results in an expulsion of the black hole from the brane. It proceeds faster for bigger values of the bulk spacetime dimension and thicker branes. The value of the dilatonic coupling constant does not influence neither the static configurations nor the dynamical behavior of the examined nonextremal system. In the extremal dilaton black hole case one obtains expulsion of the brane which is independent on the spacetime dimensionality and the value of the coupling constant. Dynamical studies of the configurations in the extremal case reveal that the course of evolution of the system is similar to the nonextremal one, except for a slightly earlier expulsion of the black hole from the brane.

Condensate flow in holographic models in the presence of dark matter

Holographic model of a three-dimensional current carrying superconductor or superfluid with {\it dark matter} sector described by the additional $U(1)$-gauge field coupled to the ordinary Maxwell one, has been studied in the probe limit. We investigated analytically by the Sturm-Liouville variational method, the holographic s-wave and p-wave models in the background of the AdS soliton as well as five-dimensional AdS black hole spacetimes. The two models of p-wave superfluids were considered, the so called $SU(2)$ and the Maxwell-vector. Special attention has been paid to the dependence of the critical chemical potential and critical transition temperature on the velocity of the condensate and {\it dark matter} parameters. The current $J$ in holographic three-dimensional superconductor studied here, shows the linear dependence on $T_c-T$ for both s and p-wave symmetry. This is in a significant contrast with the previously obtained results for two-dimensional superconductors, which reveal the $(T-T_c)^{3/2}$ temperature dependence. The coupling constant $α$, as well as, chemical potential $μ_D$ and the velocity $S_D$ of the {\it dark matter}, affect the critical chemical potential of the p-wave holographic $SU(2)$ system. On the other hand, $α$, {\it dark matter} velocity $S_D$ and density $ρ_D$ determine the actual value of the transition temperature of the same superconductor/superfluid set up. However, the {\it dark matter} does not affect the value of the current.

Viscosity of holographic fluid in the presence of dark matter sector

Based on the gauge/gravity correspondence, the hydrodynamic response coefficients, shear and Hall viscosities, have been studied. The holographic model of Einstein-Maxwell- AdS $(3+1)$-dimensional system additionally coupled with the another gauge field mimicking the {\it dark matter} sector, as well as, gravitational Chern-Simons term bounded with a dynamical scalar field, were taken into account. Condensation of the scalar field provides the parity violating term. Both shear and Hall viscosities have been calculated and their dependence on $α$ - the coupling constant between matter and {\it dark matter} sectors has been studied. To the lowest order in the derivative expansion and perturbation in $α$, the shear viscosity is not influenced by the {\it dark matter}, while the Hall component linearly depends on $α$.
