Psi prime to J/psi Ratio Measurements in PHENIX at RHIC

The ratio of the $ψ'$ over the $J/ψ$ production cross section in the dielectron channel has been measured in $\sqrt{s}=$ 200 GeV $p+p$ collisions with the PHENIX detector at RHIC. The analysis is based on fitting of the dielectron invariant mass spectra in the area around the $J/ψ$ and $ψ'$ signals in order to extract a ratio $ψ'$ over $J/ψ$ of 0.019$\pm 0.005($stat$)\pm 0.002($sys$)$ and a fractional feed-down contribution to $J/ψ$ from $ψ^\prime$ of $8.6 \pm 2.5 %$.

Heavy-Flavor Measurements by the PHENIX Experiment at RHIC

In recent years, PHENIX has studied many important observables related to heavy-flavor physics through their leptonic decay measurements including the invariant yield of electrons from nonphotonic sources, and prompt single muons, both of which are dominated by D and B mesons. Charm and beauty cross-sections were measured and compared through single lepton, and lepton-hadron correlations in p+p collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 200 GeV. Observables for quarkonia production such as invariant yield and polarization were also measured in p+p collisions. In Au+Au collisions, preliminary results for the $R_{AA}$ for single electrons and a 90% CL upper limit for the suppression of $Υ$s were produced. And in $d$+Au collisions, a preliminary $R_{CP}$ study for $J/ψ$ production in different centrality ranges was extracted.
