Elliptic Virtual Structure Constants and Generalizations of BCOV-Zinger Formula to Projective Fano Hypersurfaces

In this paper, we propose a method for computing genus 1 Gromov-Witten invariants of Calabi-Yau and Fano projective hypersurfaces using the B-model. Our formalism is applicable to both Calabi-Yau and Fano cases. In the Calabi-Yau case, significant cancellation of terms within our formalism occurs, resulting in an alternative representation of the BCOV-Zinger formula for projective Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces.

Evaluation of Euler Number of Complex Grassmann Manifold G(k, N) via Mathai-Quillen Formalism

In this paper, we provide a recipe for computing Euler number of Grassmann manifold G(k,N) by using Mathai-Quillen formalism (MQ formalism) and Atiyah-Jeffrey construction. Especially, we construct path-integral representation of Euler number of G(k,N). Our model corresponds to a finite dimensional toy-model of topological Yang-Mills theory which motivated Atiyah-Jeffrey construction. As a by-product, we construct free fermion realization of cohomology ring of G(k,N).

Holomorphic Vector Field and Topological Sigma Model on CP^1 World Sheet

Witten suggested that fixed-point theorems can be derived by the supersymmetric sigma model on a Riemann manifold M with potential term induced from Killing vector on M. One of the well-known fixed-point theorem is the Bott residue formula which represents intersection number of Chern classes of holomorphic vector bundles on a Kahler manifold M as sum of contributions from fixed point sets of a holomorphic vector field K on M. In this paper, we derive the Bott residue formula by using topological sigma model (A-model) that describes dynamics of maps from CP^{1} to M, with potential term induced from the vector field $K$. Our strategy is to restrict phase space of path integral to maps homotopic to constant maps. As an effect of adding a potential term to topological sigma model, we are forced to modify BRST symmetry of the original topological sigma model. Our potential term and BRST symmetry are closely related to the idea used in the paper by Beasley and Witten where potential terms induced from holomorphic section of a holomorphic vector bundle and corresponding supersymmetry are considered.

Moduli Space of Quasi-Maps from P^{1} with Two Marked Points to P(1,1,1,3) and j-invariant

In this paper, we construct toric data of moduli space of quasi maps of degree $d$ from P^{1} with two marked points to weighted projective space P(1.1,1,3). With this result, we prove that the moduli space is a compact toric orbifold. We also determine its Chow ring. Moreover, we give a proof of the conjecture proposed by Jinzenji that a series of intersection numbers of the moduli spaces coincides with expansion coefficients of inverse function of -log(j(tau)).

Multi-Point Virtual Structure Constants and Mirror Computation of CP^2-model

In this paper, we propose a geometrical approach to mirror computation of genus 0 Gromov-Witten invariants of CP^2. We use multi-point virtual structure constants, which are defined as intersection numbers of a compact moduli space of quasi maps from CP^1 to CP^2 with 2+n marked points. We conjecture that some generating functions of them produce mirror map and the others are translated into generating functions of Gromov-Witten invariants via the mirror map. We generalize this formalism to open string case. In this case, we have to introduce infinite number of deformation parameters to obtain results that agree with some known results of open Gromov-Witten invariants of CP^2. We also apply multi-point virtual structure constants to compute closed and open Gromov-Witten invariants of a non-nef hypersurface in projective space. This application simplifies the computational process of generalized mirror transformation.

Mirror Map as Generating Function of Intersection Numbers: Toric Manifolds with Two Kähler Forms

In this paper, we extend our geometrical derivation of expansion coefficients of mirror maps by localization computation to the case of toric manifolds with two Kähler forms. Especially, we take Hirzebruch surfaces F_{0}, F_{3} and Calabi-Yau hypersurface in weighted projective space P(1,1,2,2,2) as examples. We expect that our results can be easily generalized to arbitrary toric manifold.

Open Virtual Structure Constants and Mirror Computation of Open Gromov-Witten Invariants of Projective Hypersurfaces

In this paper, we generalize Walcher's computation of the open Gromov-Witten invariants of the quintic hypersurface to Fano and Calabi-Yau projective hypersurfaces. Our main tool is the open virtual structure constants. We also propose the generalized mirror transformation for the open Gromov-Witten invariants, some parts of which are proven explicitly. We also discuss possible modification of the multiple covering formula for the case of higher dimensional Calabi-Yau manifolds. The generalized disk invariants for some Calabi-Yau and Fano manifolds are shown and they are certainly integers after re-summation by the modified multiple covering formula. This paper also contains the direct integration method of the period integrals for higher dimensional Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces in the appendix.

Direct Proof of Mirror Theorem of Projective Hypersurfaces up to degree 3 Rational Curves

In this paper, we directly derive generalized mirror transformation of projective hypersurfaces up to degree 3 genus 0 Gromov-Witten invariants by comparing Kontsevich localization formula with residue integral representation of the virtual structure constants. We can easily generalize our method for rational curves of arbitrary degree except for combinatorial complexities.

Virtual Structure Constants as Intersection Numbers of Moduli Space of Polynomial Maps with Two Marked Points

In this paper, we derive the virtual structure constants used in mirror computation of degree k hypersurface in CP^{N-1}, by using localization computation applied to moduli space of polynomial maps from CP^{1} to CP^{N-1} with two marked points. We also apply this technique to non-nef local geometry O(1)+O(-3)->CP^{1} and realize mirror computation without using Birkhoff factorization.
