Quark Model Study of Doubly Heavy $Ξ$ and $Ω$ Baryons via Deep Neural Network and Hybrid Optimization

In the present work we investigate the mass spectrum and semileptonic decays of double charm and bottom baryon states using the hypercentral quark model. We solve the six-dimensional Schrödinger equation via deep learning and particle swarm optimization techniques to improve the speed and accuracy. Then, we predict the masses of the ground and excited states of single and doubly heavy baryons. Working close to the zero recoil point, we also study the semileptonic decay widths and branching ratios of doubly heavy $Ξ$ and $Ω$ baryons for the $b\rightarrow c$ transitions. A comparison between our results and the evaluations of other theoretical models is also presented. Our predictions of mass spectrum and decay widths provide valuable information for the experiment searching for undiscovered heavy baryon states.

Static properties and Semileptonic transitions of lowest-lying double heavy baryons

The static properties and semileptonic decays of ground-state doubly heavy baryons are studied working in the framework of a non-relativistic quark model. Using a phenomenological potential model, we calculate the ground-state masses and magnetic moments of doubly heavy $ Ω$ and $ Ξ$ baryons. In the heavy quark limit, we introduce a simple form of the universal Isgur-Wise function used as the transition form factor and then investigate the exclusive $ b \rightarrow c $ semileptonic decay widths and branching ratios for $ \frac{1}{2}\rightarrow \frac{1}{2} $ baryon transitions. Our obtained results are in agreement with other theoretical predictions.

Mass dimension one fermions: Constructing darkness

Let $Θ$ be the Wigner time reversal operator for spin half and let $ϕ$ be a Weyl spinor. Then, for a left-transforming $ϕ$, the construct $ζ_λΘϕ^\ast$ yields a right-transforming spinor. If instead, $ϕ$ is a right-transforming spinor, then the construct $ζ_ρΘϕ^\ast$ results in a left-transforming spinor ($ζ_{λ,ρ}$ are phase factors). This allows us to introduce two sets of four-component spinors. Setting $ζ_λ$ and $ζ_ρ$ to $\pm i$ render all eight spinors as eigenspinor of the charge conjugation operator~$\mathcal{C}$ (called ELKO). This allows us to introduce two quantum fields. A calculation of the vacuum expectation value of the time-ordered product of the fields and their adjoints reveals the mass dimension of the fields to be one. Both fields are local in the canonical sense of quantum field theory. Interestingly, one of the fields is fermionic and the other bosonic. The mass dimension of the introduced fermionic fields and the matter fields of the Standard Model carry an intrinsic mismatch. As such, they provide natural darkness for the new fields with respect to the Standard Model doublets. The statistics and locality are controlled by a set of phases. These are explicitly given. Then we observe that in $p_μp^μ= m^2$, Dirac took the simplest square root of the $4\times 4$ identity matrix $I$ (in $I \times m^2 $, while introducing $γ_μp^μ$ as the square root of the left hand side of the dispersion relation), and as such he implicitly ignored the remaining fifteen. When we examine the remaining roots, we obtain additional bosonic and fermionic dark matter candidates of spin half. We point out that by early nineteen seventies, Dirac had suspected the existence of spin half bosons, in the same space as his fermions. Abstract truncated.

Mass spectra and transition magnetic moments of low lying charmed baryons in a quark model

Excited state mass spectra of the low lying single charmed baryons with non strangeness have been calculated in a hypercentral approach. The six-dimensional hyperradial Schrödinger equation is solved by applying a simple variational method. We extend our scheme to predict the magnetic moments and the $ \frac{3}{2}^+ \rightarrow \frac{1}{2}^+ $ transition magnetic moments of $ Σ_{c} $ and $ Λ_{c} $ state baryons. A comparison of our results with the experimental data and predictions obtained in recent models is also presented.
