We give an explicit algebraic description for the infinitesimal invariants associated to the Griffiths-Pirola cycle on the universal genus 4 curve and its self intersection. We apply this to refine a result of Griffiths which recovers from these invariants the equations for the general genus 4 curve, and give a new proof (only in genus 4) of a nonvanishing result of Green and Griffiths.
We compute the Brauer group of some of the known Enriques manifolds. We then build special Brauer-Severi varieties on these manifolds and study the pull-back map from the Brauer group of an Enriques manifold to that of its hyper-K\"ahler universal cover, from both a geometric and an algebraic perspective.
We study the topological Brauer group of generalized Kummer varieties. We prove that it vanishes when their dimension is divisible by 4, while for all other dimensions except dimension 10 we prove that it is at most 8-torsion.
We study Galois rational maps between smooth projective varieties with trivial canonical bundle, with a particular interest in the case where the codomain is Hyper-K\"ahler. We obtain results about the birational geometry and the Galois closure of rational maps between Calabi-Yau manifolds. We apply these general results to a number of well-known examples.
We provide a cohomological characterization of the Lefschetz defect of smooth complex projective varieties. As a consequence, we deduce that the Lefschetz defect of a smooth Fano variety is invariant under smooth deformation. We also characterize the Lefschetz defect of an abelian variety in terms of its isogeny factors, and study it in families.
