ZH production in gluon fusion at NLO in QCD

We present fully differential next-to-leading order results for Higgs production in association with a $Z$ boson in gluon fusion. Our two-loop virtual contributions are evaluated numerically using sector decomposition, including full top-quark mass effects, and supplemented at high $p_T$ by an analytic high-energy expansion to order ($m_Z^4, m_H^4, m_t^{32}$). Using the expanded results we also present a study of the top-quark mass scheme uncertainty at large $p_T$.

The $Hb\bar{b}$ vertex at four loops and hard matching coefficients in SCET for various currents

We compute the four-loop corrections to the Higgs-bottom vertex within massless QCD and present analytic results for all color structures. The infrared poles of the renormalized form factor agree with the predicted four-loop pattern. Furthermore, we use the results for the Higgs-bottom, photon-quark, and Higgs-gluon form factors to provide hard matching coefficients in soft-collinear effective theory up to four-loop accuracy.

Three-loop non-singlet matching coefficients for heavy quark currents

We compute the matching coefficients between QCD and non-relativistic QCD for external vector, axial-vector, scalar and pseudo-scalar currents up to three-loop order. We concentrate on the non-singlet contributions and present precise numerical results with an accuracy of about ten digits. For the vector current the results from arXiv:1401.3004 are confirmed, increasing the accuracy by several orders of magnitude.

The width difference in \bbm\ at order $α_s$ and beyond

We complete the calculation of the element $Γ_{12}^q$ of the decay matrix in $B_q-\bar{B}_q$ mixing, $q=d,s$, to order $α_s$ in the leading power of the Heavy Quark Expansion. To this end we compute one- and two-loop contributions involving two four-quark penguin operators. Furthermore, we present two-loop QCD corrections involving a chromomagnetic operator and either a current-current or four-quark penguin operator. Such contributions are of order $α_s^2$, i.e. next-to-next-to-leading-order. We also present one-loop and two-loop results involving two chromomagnetic operators which are formally of next-to-next-to-leading and next-to-next-to-next-to-leading-order, respectively. With our new corrections we obtain the Standard-Model prediction $ΔΓ_s/ΔM_s= (5.20\pm 0.69)\cdot 10^{-3}$ if $Γ_{12}^s$ is expressed in terms of the $\overline{\rm MS}$ b-quark mass, while we find $ΔΓ_s/ΔM_s= (4.70\pm 0.96)\cdot 10^{-3}$ instead for the use of the pole mass.

Massive vector form factors to three loops

We compute the three-loop non-singlet corrections to the photon-quark form factors taking into account the full dependence on the virtuality of the photon and the quark mass. We combine the method of differential equations in an effective way with expansions around regular and singular points. This allows us to obtain results for the form factors with an accuracy of about eight to twelve digits in the whole kinematic range.

Quark and gluon form factors in four-loop QCD

We compute the photon-quark and Higgs-gluon form factors to four-loop order within massless perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. Our results constitute ready-to-use building blocks for N${}^4$LO cross sections for Drell-Yan processes and gluon-fusion Higgs boson production at the LHC. We present complete analytic expressions for both form factors and show several of the most complicated master integrals.

On the relation between the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ and the kinetic mass of heavy quarks

We compute the relation between the pole mass and the kinetic mass of a heavy quark to three loops. Using the known relation between the pole and the $\overline{\rm MS}$ mass we obtain precise conversion relations between the $\overline{\rm MS}$ and kinetic masses. The kinetic mass is defined via the moments of the spectral function for the scattering involving a heavy quark close to threshold. This requires the computation of the imaginary part of a forward scattering amplitude up to three-loop order. We discuss in detail the expansion procedure and the reduction to master integrals. For the latter analytic results are provided. We apply our result both to charm and bottom quark masses. In the latter case we compute and include finite charm quark mass effects. Furthermore, we determine the large-$β_0$ result for the conversion formula at four-loop order. For the bottom quark we estimate the uncertainty in the conversion between the $\overline{\rm MS}$ and kinetic masses to about 15 MeV which is an improvement by a factor two to three as compared to the two-loop formula. The improved precision is crucial for the extraction of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ at Belle II.

Real corrections to Higgs boson pair production at NNLO in the large top quark mass limit

In this paper we consider the next-to-next-to-leading order total cross section of Higgs boson pair production in the large top quark mass limit and compute four expansion terms in $1/m_t^2$. Good convergence is observed below the top quark threshold, which makes our results a valuable input for approximation methods which aim for next-to-next-to-leading order corrections over the whole kinematic range. We present details on various steps of our calculation; in particular, we provide results for three- and four-particle phase-space master integrals and describe in detail the evaluation of the collinear counterterms.

Third order corrections to the semi-leptonic \boldmath{$b\to c$} and the muon decays

We compute corrections of order $α_s^3$ to the decay $b \to c \ell \barν$ taking into account massive charm quarks. In the on-shell scheme large three-loop corrections are found. However, in the kinetic scheme the three-loop corrections are below 1\% and thus perturbation theory is well under control. We furthermore provide results for the order $α_s^3$ corrections to $b \to u \ell \barν$ and the third-order QED corrections to the muon decay which will be important input for reducing the uncertainty of the Fermi coupling constant $G_F$.

Two-loop QCD penguin contribution to the width difference in $B_s-\bar{B}_s$ mixing

We consider two-loop QCD corrections to the element $Γ_{12}^q$ of the decay matrix in $B_q-\bar{B}_q$ mixing, $q=d,s$, in the leading power of the Heavy Quark Expansion. The calculated contributions involve one current-current and one penguin operator and constitute the next step towards a theory prediction for the width difference $ΔΓ_s$ matching the precise experimental data. We present compact analytic results for all matching coefficients in an expansion in $m_c/m_b$ up to second order. Our new corrections are comparable in size to the current experimental error and slightly increase $ΔΓ_s$.

A semi-analytic method to compute Feynman integrals applied to four-loop corrections to the $\overline{\rm MS}$-pole quark mass relation

We describe a method to numerically compute multi-loop integrals, depending on one dimensionless parameter $x$ and the dimension $d$, in the whole kinematic range of $x$. The method is based on differential equations, which, however, do not require any special form, and series expansions around singular and regular points. This method provides results well suited for fast numerical evaluation and sufficiently precise for phenomenological applications. We apply the approach to four-loop on-shell integrals and compute the coefficient function of eight colour structures in the relation between the mass of a heavy quark defined in the $\overline{\rm MS}$ and the on-shell scheme allowing for a second non-zero quark mass. We also obtain analytic results for these eight coefficient functions in terms of harmonic polylogarithms and iterated integrals. This allows for a validation of the numerical accuracy.

Fermionic corrections to quark and gluon form factors in four-loop QCD

We analytically compute all four-loop QCD corrections to the photon-quark and Higgs-gluon form factors involving a closed massless fermion loop. Our calculation of non-planar vertex integrals confirms a previous conjecture for the analytical form of the non-fermionic contributions to the collinear anomalous dimensions of quarks and gluons.

Charm-quark mass effects in NRQCD matching coefficients and the leptonic decay of the $Υ(1S)$ meson

We compute two-loop corrections to the vector current matching coefficient involving two heavy quark masses. The result is applied to the computation of the $Υ(1S)$ decay width into an electron or muon pair. We complement the next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order corrections of Ref. arXiv:1401.3005 by charm quark mass effects up to second order in perturbation theory. Furthermore, we apply the formalism to $Γ(J/Ψ\to \ell^+\ell^-)$ and compare to the experimental data.

The Kinetic Heavy Quark Mass to Three Loops

We compute three-loop corrections to the relation between the heavy quark masses defined in the pole and kinetic schemes. Using known relations between the pole and $\overline{\rm MS}$ quark masses we can establish precise relations between the kinetic and $\overline{\rm MS}$ charm and bottom masses. As compared to two loops, the precision is improved by a factor two to three. Our results constitute important ingredients for the precise determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ at Belle~II.

Virtual corrections to $gg\to ZH$ in the high-energy and large-$m_t$ limits

We compute the next-to-leading order virtual corrections to the partonic cross-section of the process $gg\to ZH$, in the high-energy and large-$m_t$ limits. We use Padé approximants to increase the radius of convergence of the high-energy expansion in $m_t^2/s$, $m_t^2/t$ and $m_t^2/u$ and show that precise results can be obtained down to energies which are fairly close to the top quark pair threshold. We present results both for the form factors and the next-to-leading order virtual cross-section.

Top quark mass dependence of the Higgs-gluon form factor at three loops

We compute three-loop corrections to the Higgs-gluon form factor, incorporating the top quark mass dependence. Our method is based on the combination of expansions around the top threshold and for large top quark mass, using conformal mapping and Padé approximation to describe the form factor over the full kinematic range.
