The Bernstein problem for Sobolev intrinsic graphs in the Heisenberg group

In the first Heisenberg group, we study entire, locally Sobolev intrinsic graphs that are stable for the sub-Riemannian area. We show that, under appropriate integrability conditions for the derivatives, the intrinsic graph must be an intrinsic plane, i.e., a coset of a two dimensional subgroup. This result extends \cite{arXiv:1809.04586} beyond the Lipschitz class.

A Talenti-type comparison theorem for $\mathrm{RCD}(K,N)$ spaces and applications

We prove pointwise and $L^{p}$-gradient comparison results for solutions to elliptic Dirichlet problems defined on open subsets of a (possibly non-smooth) space with positive Ricci curvature (more precisely of an $\mathrm{RCD}(K,N)$ metric measure space, with $K>0$ and $N\in (1,\infty)$). The obtained Talenti-type comparison is sharp, rigid and stable with respect to $L^{2}$/measured-Gromov-Hausdorff topology; moreover, several aspects seem new even for smooth Riemannian manifolds. As applications of such Talenti-type comparison, we prove a series of improved Sobolev-type inequalities, and an $\mathrm{RCD}$ version of the St.~Venant-Pólya torsional rigidity comparison theorem (with associated rigidity and stability statements). Finally, we give a probabilistic interpretation (in the setting of smooth Riemannian manifolds) of the aforementioned comparison results, in terms of exit time from an open subset for the Brownian motion.

Multi-marginal optimal transport on the Heisenberg group

We consider the multi-marginal optimal transport of aligning several compactly supported marginals on the Heisenberg group to minimize the total cost, which we take to be the sum of the squared Carnot-Carathéodory distances from the marginal points to their barycenter. Under certain technical hypotheses, we prove existence and uniqueness of optimal maps. We also point out several related open questions.

Quantitative regularity for $p$-minimizing maps through a Reifenberg Theorem

In this article we extend to generic $p$-energy minimizing maps between Riemannian manifolds a regularity result which is known to hold in the case $p=2$. We first show that the set of singular points of such a map can be quantitatively stratified: we classify singular points based on the number of almost-symmetries of the map around them, as done by Cheeger and Naber in 2013. Then, adapting the work of Naber and Valtorta, we apply a Reifenberg-type Theorem to each quantitative stratum; through this, we achieve an upper bound on the Minkowski content of the singular set, and we prove it is $k$-rectifiable for a $k$ which only depends on $p$ and the dimension of the domain.
