Reduced rank in $σ[M]$

Using the concept of prime submodule introduced by Raggi et.al. we extend the notion of reduced rank to the module-theoretic context of $σ[M]$. We study the quotient category of $σ[M]$ modulo the hereditary torsion theory cogenerated by the $M$-injective hull of $M$, when $M$ is a semiprime Goldie module. We prove that this quotient category is spectral. We then consider the hereditary torsion theory in $σ[M]$ cogenerated by the $M$-injective hull of $M/\mathfrak{L}(M)$, where $\mathfrak{L}(M)$ is the prime radical of $M$, and we determine when the module of quotients of $M$, with respect to this torsion theory, has finite length in the quotient category. Finally, we give conditions on a module $M$ with endomorphism ring $S$ under which $S$ is an order in an Artinian ring, extending Small's Theorem.

A point-free version of torsionfree classes and the Goldie torsion theory

Torsion theories are a pinnacle in the theory of abelian categories. They are a generalization of torsion abelian groups and in this generalization one of the most studied is that whose torsionfree class consists of nonsingular modules. To introduce the concept of singular interval we use the symmetric idea of torsion theories, that is the torsion class determines the torsionfree class and vice-versa, thus to introduce nonsingular intervals over an upper-continuous modular complete lattice, (a.k.a idiom, a.k.a modular preframe) we define the concept of \emph{division free} set. We introduce the division free set of nonsingular intervals which defines a division set of singular intervals in a canonical way. Several properties of division free sets and some consequences of nonsingular intervals are explored allowing us to develop a small part of a point-free nonsingular theory.

$\mathfrak{m}$-Endoregular lattices

In a previous work, (dual)-$\mathfrak{m}$-Rickart lattices were studied. Now, in this paper, we introduce $\mathfrak{m}$-endoregular lattices as those lattices $\mathcal{L}$ such that $\mathfrak{m}$ is a regular monoid, where $\mathfrak{m}$ is a submonoid with zero of End$_{lin}(\mathcal{L})$. We show that these lattices can be characterized in terms of $\mathfrak{m}$-Rickart and $\mathfrak{m}$-dual-Rickart lattices. Also, we compare these new lattices with those lattices in which every compact element is a complement. We characterize the $\mathfrak{m}$-endoregular lattices such that every idempotent in $\mathfrak{m}$ is central in $\mathfrak{m}$ and we show that for these lattices the complements are a sublattice which is a Boolean algebra. We introduce two new concepts, $\mathfrak{m}$-$\mathcal{K}$-extending and $\mathfrak{m}$-$\mathcal{T}$-lifting lattices. For these lattices, we show that the monoid $\mathfrak{m}$ has a regular quotient monoid provided they satisfy $\mathfrak{m}$-$C_2$ and $\mathfrak{m}$-$D_2$ respectively.

$\mathfrak{m}$-Baer and $\mathfrak{m}$-Rickart lattices

In this paper we introduce the notions of Rickart and Baer lattices and their duals. We show that part of the theory of Rickart and Baer modules can be understood just using techniques from the theory of lattices. For, we use linear morphisms introduced by T. Albu and M. Iosif. We focus on a submonoid with zero $\mathfrak{m}$ of the monoid of all linear endomorphism of a lattice $\mathcal{L}$ in order to give a more general approach and apply our results in the theory of modules. We also show that $\mathfrak{m}$-Rickart and $\mathfrak{m}$-Baer lattices can be characterized by the annihilators in $\mathfrak{m}$ generated by idempotents as in the case of modules.

The nilpotency of the prime radical of a Goldie module

With the notion of prime submodule defined by F. Raggi et.al. we prove that the intersection of all prime submodules of a Goldie module $M$, is a nilpotent submodule provided that $M$ is retractable and $M^{(Λ)}$-projective for every index set $Λ$. This extends the well known fact that in a left Goldie ring, the prime radical is nilpotent.

Finite $Σ$-Rickart modules

In this article, we study the notion of a finite $Σ$-Rickart module, as a module theoretic analogue of a right semi-hereditary ring. A module $M$ is called \emph{finite $Σ$-Rickart} if every finite direct sum of copies of $M$ is a Rickart module. It is shown that any direct summand and any direct sum of copies of a finite $Σ$-Rickart module are finite $Σ$-Rickart modules. We also provide generalizations in a module theoretic setting of the most common results of semi-hereditary rings. Also, we have a characterization of a finite $Σ$-Rickart module in terms of its endomorphism ring. In addition, we introduce $M$-coherent modules and provide a characterization of finite $Σ$-Rickart modules in terms of $M$-coherent modules. At the end, we study when $Σ$-Rickart modules and finite $Σ$-Rickart modules coincide. Examples which delineate the concepts and results are provided.

On strongly harmonic and Gelfand modules

We introduce the notions of Strongly harmonic and Gelfand module, as a generalization of the well-known ring theoretic case. We prove some properties of these modules and we give a characterization via their lattice of submodules and their space of maximal submodules. It is also observed that, under some assumptions, the space of maximal submodules of a strongly harmonic module constitutes a compact Hausdorff space whose frame of open sets is isomorphic to the frame $Ψ(M)$ defined in [arXiv:1612.07407]. Finally, we mention some open questions that arose during this investigation.

Abelian Endoregular Modules

In this paper, we introduce the notion of abelian endoregular modules as those modules whose endomorphism rings are abelian von Neumann regular. We characterize an abelian endoregular module $M$ in terms of its $M$-generated submodules. We prove that if $M$ is an abelian endoregular module then so is every $M$-generated submodule of $M$. Also, the case when the (quasi-)injective hull of a module as well as the case when a direct sum of modules is abelian endoregular are presented. At the end, we study abelian endoregular modules as subdirect products of simple modules.
