The paper concerns the problem for the ultrahyperbolic equation in the Euclidean space with data on a characteristic hyperplane. Smoothness and asymptotics of the solution along characteristic lines transversal to the initial hyperplane are investigated.
We consider the characteristic problem for the ultrahyperbolic equation in the Euclidean space. The value of a solution is prescribed on the characteristic hyperplane. A well-posed set-up of the problem is discussed. We obtain a certain representation for a solution suitable for analysis of its asymptotics at the infinity.
We consider the ultrahyperbolic equation in the Euclidean space. The behavior at the infinity of a certain class of solutions is studied. We examine the issue of existence of solutions to the scattering problem: for a given asymptotics at the infinity, the corresponding solution to the equation is constructed.
We consider a certain ultrahyperbolic equation in a Euclidean space being a generalization of Klein-Gordon-Fock equation. The behavior of solutions at points tending to infinity along timelike directions is studied. We examine the issue of existence of solutions possessing given asymptotic properties at infinity.
