Darboux Slant Ruled Surfaces

In this study, we introduce Darboux slant ruled surfaces in the Euclidean 3-space which is defined by the property that the Darboux vector of orthonormel frame of ruled surface makes a constant angle with a fixed, non-zero direction. We obtain the characterizations of Darboux slant ruled surfaces regarding the conical curvature kappa and give the relations between Darboux slant ruled surfaces and some other slant ruled surfaces.

Eikonal slant helices and eikonal Darboux helices in 3-dimensional pseudo-Riemannian manifolds

In this study, we give definitions and characterizations of eikonal slant helices, eikonal Darboux helices and non-normed eikonal Darboux helices in 3-dimensional pseudo- Riemannian manifold M . We show that every eikonal slant helix is also an eikonal Darboux helix for timelike and spacelike curves. Furthermore, we obtain that if the non-null curve a is a non-normed eikonal Darboux helix, then a is an eikonal slant helix if and only if 2 2 e 3k +e1t = constant, where k and t are curvature and torsion of a, respectively. Finally, we define null-eikonal helices, slant helices and Darboux helices. Also, we give their characterizations.

In this study, we give definitions and characterizations of eikonal slant helix curves, eikonal Darboux helices and non-normed eikonal Darboux helices in three dimensional Riemannian manifold 3 M . We show that every eikonal slant helix is also an eikonal Darboux helix. Furthermore, we obtain that if the curve a is a non-normed eikonal Darboux helix, then a is an eikonal slant helix if and only if k 2 +t 2 = constant, where k and t are curvature and torsion of a, respectively.

Dual Darboux Frame of a Timelike Ruled Surface and Darboux Approach to Mannheim Offsets of Timelike Ruled Surfaces

In this paper, we introduce the dual geodesic trihedron (dual Darboux frame) of a timelike ruled surface. By the aid of the E. Study Mapping, we consider timelike ruled surfaces as dual hyperbolic spherical curves and define the Mannheim offsets of timelike ruled surfaces by means of dual Darboux frame. We obtain the relationships between invariants of Mannheim timelike surface offsets. Furthermore, we give the conditions for these surface offsets to be developable.

Dual Darboux Frame of a Spacelike Ruled Surface and Darboux Approach to Mannheim Offsets of Spacelike Ruled Surfaces

In this paper, we define dual geodesic trihedron(dual Darboux frame) of a spacelike ruled surface. Then, we study Mannheim offsets of spacelike ruled surfaces in dual Lorentzian space by considering the E. Study Mapping. We represent spacelike ruled surfaces by dual Lorentzian unit spherical curves and define Mannheim offsets of the spacelike ruled surfaces by means of dual Darboux frame. We obtain relationships between the invariants of Mannheim spacelike offset surfaces and offset angle, offset distance. Furthermore, we give conditions for these surface offsets to be developable.

On the Mannheim Surface Offsets

In this paper, we study Mannheim surface offsets in dual space. By the aid of the E. Study Mapping, we consider ruled surfaces as dual unit spherical curves and define the Mannheim offsets of the ruled surfaces by means of dual geodesic trihedron (dual Darboux frame). We obtain the relationships between the invariants of Mannheim ruled surfaces. Furthermore, we give the conditions for these surface offset to be developable. Furthermore, we obtained that the dual spherical radius of curvature of offset surface is equal to dual offset angle.

Similar Ruled Surfaces with Variable Transformations in Minkowski 3-space

In this study, we consider the notion of similar ruled surface for timelike and spacelike ruled surfaces in Minkowski 3-space. We obtain some properties of these special surfaces in E_1^3 and we show that developable ruled surfaces in E_1^3 form a family of similar ruled surfaces if and only if the striction curves of the surfaces are similar curves with variable transformation. Moreover, we obtain that cylindrical surfaces and conoids form two families of similar ruled surfaces in E_1^3.

Dual Smarandache Curves and Smarandache Ruled Surfaces

In this paper, by considering dual geodesic trihedron (dual Darboux frame) we define dual Smarandache curves lying fully on dual unit sphere S^2 and corresponding to ruled surfaces. We obtain the relationships between the elements of curvature of dual spherical curve (ruled surface) x(s) and its dual Smarandache curve (Smarandache ruled surface) x1(s) and we give an example for dual Smarandache curves of a dual spherical curve.

Null Similar Curves with Variable Transformations in Minkowski 3-space

In this study, we define a family of null curves in Minkowski 3-space and called null similar curves. We obtain some properties of these special curves. We show that two null curves are null similar curves if and only if these curves form a null Bertrand pair. Moreover, we obtain that the family of null geodesics and null helices form the families of null similar curves with variable transformation.

Transversal Surfaces of Timelike Ruled Surfaces in Minkowski 3-Space

In this study we give definitions and characterizations of transversal surfaces of timelike ruled surfaces. We study some special cases such as the striction curve is a geodesic, an asymptotic line or a line of curvature. Moreover, we obtain developable conditions for transversal surfaces of a timelike ruled surface.

On Closed Space Curves In Minkowski Space-Time

In this paper, we give the generalization of the criterion for a 3-space curve to be closed given by [3] to an n-space curve in Minkowski space-time E_v^n. Furthermore, we apply this criterion for a curve lying on an oriented surface in the Minkowski space E_v^n as an application.

Mannheim Partner D-Curves in Euclidean 3-space

In this paper we consider the idea of Mannheim partner curves for curves lying on surfaces and by considering the Darboux frames of them we define these curves as Mannheim partner D-curves and give the characterizations for these curves. We also find the relations between the geodesic curvatures, the normal curvatures and the geodesic torsions of these associated curves. Furthermore, we show that the definition and the characterizations of Mannheim partner D-curves include those of Mannheim partner curves in some special cases.
