Behavior of solutions to semilinear evolution inequalities in an annulus: the critical cases

In the present paper, we consider the parabolic and hyperbolic inequalities with a singular potentials and with a critical nonlinearities in the annulus domain. The problems are studied with Neumann-type and Dirichlet-type boundary conditions on the boundary. Moreover, we study the systems of problems too. We have proved that the above problems are globally unsolvable in critical cases, thereby filling the gaps the recent results by Jleli and Samet in [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 514: 2 (2022)] and in [Anal. Math. Phys. 12: 90 (2022)]. Proofs are carried out using the method of test functions with logarithmic arguments, which is being developed for the first time in bounded domains.

On inhomogeneous exterior Robin problems with critical nonlinearities

The paper studies the large-time behavior of solutions to the Robin problem for PDEs with critical nonlinearities. For the considered problems, nonexistence results are obtained, which complements the interesting recent results by Ikeda et al. [J. Differential Equations, 269 (2020), no. 1, 563-594], where critical cases were left open. Moreover, our results provide partially answers to some other open questions previously posed by Zhang [Proc. Roy. Soc. Edinburgh Sect. A, 131 (2001), no. 2, 451-475] and Jleli-Samet [Nonlinear Anal., 178 (2019), 348-365].

Instantaneous blow up solutions for nonlinear Sobolev type equations on the Heisenberg Group

In this paper, we study the nonlinear Sobolev type equations on the Heisenberg group. We show that the problems do not admit nontrivial local weak solutions, i.e. "instantaneous blow up" occurs, using the nonlinear capacity method. Namely, by choosing suitable test functions, we will prove an instantaneous blow up for any initial conditions $u_0,\,u_1\in L^q(\mathbb{H}^n)$ with $q\leq \frac{Q}{Q-2}$.

The Fujita exponent for a semilinear heat equation with forcing term on Heisenberg Group

In this paper, we study a critical exponent to the semilinear heat equation with forcing term on Heisenberg group. Our technique of proof is based on methods of nonlinear capacity estimates specifically adapted to the nature of the Heisenberg group. Surprisingly, the critical exponent will be bounded for all dimensions of the Heisenberg group, in contrast to the Euclidean case which in the 1D and 2D cases will be infinite. In addition, we give an upper bound estimate on the lifespan of local solutions.

Qualitative properties of solutions to a nonlinear time-space fractional diffusion equation

In the present paper, we study the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem to the nonlocal nonlinear diffusion equation with polynomial nonlinearities $$\mathcal{D}_{0|t}^{α}u+(-Δ)^s_pu=γ|u|^{m-1}u+μ|u|^{q-2}u,\,γ,μ\in\mathbb{R},\,m>0,q>1,$$ involving time-fractional Caputo derivative $\mathcal{D}_{0|t}^α$ and space-fractional $p$-Laplacian operator $(-Δ)^s_p$. We give a simple proof of the comparison principle for the considered problem using purely algebraic relations, for different sets of $γ,μ,m$ and $q$. The Galerkin approximation method is used to prove the existence of a local weak solution. The blow-up phenomena, existence of global weak solutions and asymptotic behavior of global solutions are classified using the comparison principle.

Nonexistence of global solutions for an inhomogeneous pseudo-parabolic equation

In the present paper, we study an inhomogeneous pseudo-parabolic equation with nonlocal nonlinearity $$u_t-kΔu_t-Δu=I^γ_{0+}(|u|^{p})+ω(x),\,\ (t,x)\in(0,\infty)\times\mathbb{R}^N,$$ where $p>1,\,k\geq 0$, $ω(x)\neq0$ and $I^γ_{0+}$ is the left Riemann-Liouville fractional integral of order $γ\in(0,1).$ Based on the test function method, we have proved the blow-up result for the critical case $γ=0,\,p=p_c$ for $N\geq3$, which answers an {\bf open question} posed in \cite{Zhou}, and in particular when $k=0$ it improves the result obtained in \cite{Bandle}. An interesting fact is that in the case $γ>0$, the problem does not admit global solutions for any $p>1$ and $\int_{\mathbb{R}^N}ω(x) dx>0.$
