Beyond Reconstruction: Full-Context Generative DiT for Music Generation

Hybrid music generators combine the long-range planning of an autoregressive language model with the fidelity of a diffusion- or flow-based acoustic renderer. Yet renderers are trained with clean, target-derived codec tokens but deployed with imperfect language-model predictions, creating codecinterface exposure bias. Rather than treating rendering as a simple reconstruction task,we formulate it as full-context generation from an imperfect discrete plan. We introduce FullDiT, a conditional DiT that fuses eight frame-aligned RVQ streams with independently encoded captions and lyrics and uses non-causal self-attention over the complete acoustic latent sequence. During training, Error-Matched Distractor Conditioning (EMDC) matches per-codebook replacement rates to teacher-forced top-1 error rates and samples near-miss tokens from cosine-KNN neighborhoods without changing the acoustic target. At inference, four-way classifier-free guidance (4-CFG) independently scales codec, lyric, and caption guidance increments. Matched ablations show that EMDC improves ViSQOL by 0.77 under synthetic corruption and is clearly preferred in non-tied comparisons with fixed languagemodel tokens. Further ablations show gains from full-song context and renderer-side text conditioning. The complete system outperforms five commercial systems on 15 of 18 automatic metrics and ranks among the top three on the Artificial Analysis Music with Vocals Leaderboard. CLIFT: Turning Gemini Robotics On-Device into Humanoid Specialists via Non-Invasive Closed-Loop Iterative Fine-Tuning

While robot foundation models are growing increasingly capable, the strongest models are typically trained on proprietary data and remain closed-source, limiting downstream users' ability to adapt them to new tasks, embodiments, and deployment settings. Following the LLM community, an emerging access paradigm for closed-weight robot foundation models is the managed supervised fine-tuning (SFT) API, where users submit training data and receive a tuned policy without access to model weights, gradients, or training internals. While such APIs let downstream users leverage powerful proprietary foundation models, they restrict policy improvement to pure imitation, ruling out reinforcement learning and other closed-loop methods that rely on internal training signals. This limitation is particularly acute for agile, contact-rich humanoid manipulation, where the gap between policy outputs and deployed behavior is large due to novel states, action tracking dynamics, latency, and controller-specific failure modes. We study how effective this managed-API regime is for humanoid adaptation, and how closed-loop improvement can be realized within it to push policies toward task mastery. We conduct one of the first empirical studies of managed-API adaptation on a real humanoid, instantiated on Gemini Robotics On-Device (GROD). We find that direct SFT through the API substantially outperforms a leading open-weight VLA trained on the same demonstrations, yet still falls short of deployment-level mastery on agile, contact-rich tasks. To close this gap, we introduce CLIFT: Closed-Loop Iterative Fine-Tuning, which turns deployment-time reward feedback into API-compatible supervised data and enables closed-loop policy improvement without accessing weights, gradients, likelihoods, or losses-pushing GROD to near-perfect success after two flywheel cycles, all without "opening the model box."

Qwen-Audio-3.0-Gen-Preview Technical Report

Existing single-domain and multi-task audio systems remain limited in directly organizing heterogeneous audio components, ambience, and multiple roles into long-form temporal scenes. We present Qwen-Audio-3.0-Gen-Preview, a unified non-autoregressive framework that uses a Diffusion Transformer (DiT) and a shared variational autoencoder (VAE) to generate the complete mixed waveform. Prompt enhancement converts free-form requests into structured temporal records that are rendered as textual conditions, while a two-stage data curriculum and semantic conditional views train the proposed model to use these conditions across standalone and mixed-scene audio. A shared continuous VAE compresses 48kHz stereo waveforms into 25Hz latent sequences and incorporates semantic supervision, providing one representation for heterogeneous audio. On the public reference-conditioned benchmark, speaker similarity is the proposed model's clearest strength across all three subsets. Across the multi-speaker and rich-timeline benchmarks, its clearest comparative strengths are cross-turn consistency in both languages and temporal localization, respectively. On AudioCaps, its advantages are concentrated in evaluations using large audio-language models and AudioBox. These results demonstrate the potential of unified generation for temporally structured audio without task-specific branches.

Pushing the Frontier of Full-Song Generation: Hierarchical Autoregressive Planning Meets Flow-Matching Rendering

In this report, we present a unified song generation framework capable of producing high-quality full-length music from lyrics, text descriptions, and musical attributes. The proposed framework supports three tasks: Lyrics-to-Song Generation, which generates complete songs from text descriptions, lyrics, and musical attributes; Instrumental Music Generation, which creates music without vocals; and Cover Song Generation, which reinterprets existing songs with different styles while preserving their melodic content. Architecturally, our system consists of four main components: a semantic-aware tokenizer, hybird-LM, FullDiT, and a two-level melody module. The tokenizer encodes audio into 8-codebook RVQ tokens for efficient discrete music representation. Based on these tokens, hybird-LM performs hierarchical autoregressive audio-token modeling for full-song generation. To improve audio fidelity, FullDiT performs full-song flow matching in a continuous VAE latent space conditioned on codec tokens, lyrics, and text captions. For cover song generation, the melody module extracts and discretizes melody cues from reference audio to guide generation while preserving the original melodic content. Finally, we investigate DPO, GRPO, and OPD as reward-based post-training strategies for hybird-LM and apply flow-based GRPO to FullDiT to improve musicality and rendering quality. Experimental results on a multilingual automatic benchmark, complemented by the Artificial Analysis Music with Vocals leaderboard, show that the proposed framework achieves competitive performance in the evaluated settings.

Vision-Based Localization in Dense Urban Environments: A Case Study of an Urban Village in China

Urban villages, the widespread informal settlements which have emerged as a result of rapid urbanization, are now major residential hubs for migrant workers in large cities in China. The dense arrangement of buildings in these areas often leads to unreliable GPS signals, while incomplete mapping data further impairs accurate route planning and navigation. These issues not only hinder everyday mobility but also pose significant challenges for emergency response, as confusing road layouts and GPS inaccuracies can complicate evacuation efforts. To address these challenges, we propose a practical vision-based geo-localization solution tailored for dense urban environments. Our approach features a low-cost data collection pipeline utilizing a dual-camera system, comprising a panoramic camera and a smartphone camera, to capture synchronized 360-degree panoramas and query images. Using Shipai Village, a well-known densely populated urban village in Guangzhou, as a case study, we develop a specialized image geo-localization dataset. We then assess and compare the performance of existing models across various scene types to identify their strengths and weaknesses. The findings demonstrate both the potential and limitations of visual-based localization in dense urban-village environments. Our framework aims to enhance pedestrian navigation, last-mile delivery, and emergency management in areas with poor GPS coverage, ultimately supporting the vulnerable populations living within these informal settlements.

Step-Audio: Unified Understanding and Generation in Intelligent Speech Interaction

Real-time speech interaction, serving as a fundamental interface for human-machine collaboration, holds immense potential. However, current open-source models face limitations such as high costs in voice data collection, weakness in dynamic control, and limited intelligence. To address these challenges, this paper introduces Step-Audio, the first production-ready open-source solution. Key contributions include: 1) a 130B-parameter unified speech-text multi-modal model that achieves unified understanding and generation, with the Step-Audio-Chat version open-sourced; 2) a generative speech data engine that establishes an affordable voice cloning framework and produces the open-sourced lightweight Step-Audio-TTS-3B model through distillation; 3) an instruction-driven fine control system enabling dynamic adjustments across dialects, emotions, singing, and RAP; 4) an enhanced cognitive architecture augmented with tool calling and role-playing abilities to manage complex tasks effectively. Based on our new StepEval-Audio-360 evaluation benchmark, Step-Audio achieves state-of-the-art performance in human evaluations, especially in terms of instruction following. On open-source benchmarks like LLaMA Question, shows 9.3% average performance improvement, demonstrating our commitment to advancing the development of open-source multi-modal language technologies. The THU-HCSI Multi-Speaker Multi-Lingual Few-Shot Voice Cloning System for LIMMITS'24 Challenge

This paper presents the multi-speaker multi-lingual few-shot voice cloning system developed by THU-HCSI team for LIMMITS'24 Challenge. To achieve high speaker similarity and naturalness in both mono-lingual and cross-lingual scenarios, we build the system upon YourTTS and add several enhancements. For further improving speaker similarity and speech quality, we introduce speaker-aware text encoder and flow-based decoder with Transformer blocks. In addition, we denoise the few-shot data, mix up them with pre-training data, and adopt a speaker-balanced sampling strategy to guarantee effective fine-tuning for target speakers. The official evaluations in track 1 show that our system achieves the best speaker similarity MOS of 4.25 and obtains considerable naturalness MOS of 3.97.

Controllable and Lossless Non-Autoregressive End-to-End Text-to-Speech

Some recent studies have demonstrated the feasibility of single-stage neural text-to-speech, which does not need to generate mel-spectrograms but generates the raw waveforms directly from the text. Single-stage text-to-speech often faces two problems: a) the one-to-many mapping problem due to multiple speech variations and b) insufficiency of high frequency reconstruction due to the lack of supervision of ground-truth acoustic features during training. To solve the a) problem and generate more expressive speech, we propose a novel phoneme-level prosody modeling method based on a variational autoencoder with normalizing flows to model underlying prosodic information in speech. We also use the prosody predictor to support end-to-end expressive speech synthesis. Furthermore, we propose the dual parallel autoencoder to introduce supervision of the ground-truth acoustic features during training to solve the b) problem enabling our model to generate high-quality speech. We compare the synthesis quality with state-of-the-art text-to-speech systems on an internal expressive English dataset. Both qualitative and quantitative evaluations demonstrate the superiority and robustness of our method for lossless speech generation while also showing a strong capability in prosody modeling.
