A note on the complexity of a phaseless polynomial interpolation

In this paper we revisit the classical problem of polynomial interpolation, with a slight twist; namely, polynomial evaluations are available up to a group action of the unit circle on the complex plane. It turns out that this new setting allows for a phaseless recovery of a polynomial in a polynomial time.

Logical systems I: Lambda calculi through discreteness

This paper shows how internal models for polymorphic lambda calculi arise in any 2-category with a notion of discreteness. We generalise to a 2-categorical setting the famous theorem of Peter Freyd saying that there are no sufficiently (co)complete non-degenerate categories. As a simple corollary, we obtain a variant of Freyd theorem for categories internal to any tensored category. Also, with help of introduced concept of an associated category, we prove a representation theorem relating our internal models with well-studied fibrational models for polymorphism.

Logical systems II: Free semantics

This paper is a sequel to "Logical systems I: Lambda calculi through discreteness". It provides a general 2-categorical setting for extensional calculi and shows how intensional and extensional calculi can be related in logical systems. We define Yoneda triangles as relativisations of internal adjunctions, and use them to characterise universes that admit a notion of convolution. We show that such universes induce semantics for lambda calculi. We prove that a construction analogical to enriched Day convolution works for categories internal to a locally cartesian closed category with finite colimits.

The other pullback lemma

Given a composition of two commutative squares, one well-known pullback lemma says that if both squares are pullbacks, then their composition is also a pullback; another well-known pullback lemma says that if the composed square is a pullback and the supporting square is a pullback, then the other square is a pullback as well. This note investigates the third of the possibilities.
