Weyl-Pedersen calculus for some semidirect products of nilpotent Lie groups

For certain nilpotent real Lie groups constructed as semidirect products, algebras of invariant differential operators on some coadjoint orbits are used in the study of boundedness properties of the Weyl-Pedersen calculus of their corresponding unitary irreducible representations. Our main result is applicable to all unitary irreducible representations of arbitrary 3-step nilpotent Lie groups.

On the characterization of Gelfand-Shilov-Roumieu spaces

Generalized $\mathbf{m}$-Gelfand-Shilov-Roumieu vector spaces $\mathcal{S}_{\mathbf{m}}(\mathbf{X})$ are introduced. Here $\mathbf{m} = (m^{(1)},...,m^{(n)})$, $\mathbf{X}=(X_{1},...,X_{n})$ and $m^{(1)},...,m^{(n)}$ are sequences of positive real numbers and $X_{1},...,X_{n}$ are operators in a Hilbert space. Conditions are given on the sequences $m^{(1)},...,m^{(n)}$ and on the operators $X_{1},...,X_{n}$ so that the equality $S_{\mathbf{m}}(\mathbf{X}) = S_{m^{(1)}}(X_{1})\cap ... \cap{S}_{m^{(n)}}(X_{n})$ is valid. As a corollary we obtain a new proof of a characterization theorem for classical Gelfand-Shilov spaces.

Brownian motion with killing and reflection and the "hot--spots" problem

We investigate the "hot--spots" property for the survival time probability of Brownian motion with killing and reflection in planar convex domains whose boundary consists of two curves, one of which is an arc of a circle, intersecting at acute angles. This leads to the "hot--spots" property for the mixed Dirichlet--Neumann eigenvalue problem in the domain with Neumann conditions on one of the curves and Dirichlet conditions on the other
