Projective geometry of second-order supersymmetry

We show that anomaly-free second-order supersymmetry (SUSY) in quantum mechanics admits a projective-geometric formulation in terms of a projective connection and a vector field preserving it. Once the physical coordinate and energy origin are fixed, these data determine the partner Hamiltonians and supercharges; the field's quadratic invariant fixes the central parameter and candidate singlet energies. The fixed-point structure of this field yields explicit criteria for smooth continuation of the quantum operators through superpotential zeros. The classically fictitious similarity transformation selects affine data whose covariant factors generate the Schwarzian quantum correction. Dimensional reduction of a Riemannian model reproduces these affine data through the volume measure, while a coordinate adapted to the selected field implements coupling-constant metamorphosis. A one-gap Lame pair illustrates the relation between the SUSY auxiliary geometry and the Gelfand-Dikii-Virasoro structure governing physical solution products. Its Lax-Novikov integral acts on Schrodinger solutions through the first-order action of a projective stabilizer; in the reflectionless limit it becomes proportional, in the physical coordinate, to the auxiliary third Bol operator.

Morse Bridge between Planar Kepler and Hyperbolic Landau Dynamics

A common Morse Hamiltonian bridges the planar Kepler--Coulomb and hyperbolic Landau systems, linking flat electric dynamics to curved magnetic dynamics. A radial Liouville transformation with coupling-constant metamorphosis maps the separated Kepler problem to the Morse system, while fixed-horocyclic-momentum reduction maps the hyperbolic Landau problem to the same system. In a common normalization, the Coulomb coupling is the signed product of the magnetic field and conserved horocyclic momentum, while the quantum Landau reduction has the universal half-density shift $1/4$. Beyond this shared reduction, we construct a direct classical orbit map on the regular nonradial sectors for all signs of the Kepler energy. It maps the Landau height to a scaled inverse Kepler radius, Kepler ellipses, parabolas and hyperbolas to magnetic circles, horocycles and hypercycles, and Hamilton's hodograph affinely to the Landau carrier circle. The reduced Kepler symplectic form and the Binet-selected complex structure determine a Poincaré Kähler metric. Its nondegenerate Binet orbits have constant geodesic curvature of magnitude equal to the inverse eccentricity, while zero coupling gives geodesics. The orbit map identifies this metric isometrically with the Poincaré configuration-space metric of the hyperbolic Landau problem. Composing the quantum Liouville maps eliminates the Morse wavefunction and yields an exact weighted intertwining identity between the radial Kepler and horocyclic Landau operator pencils. At distinguished half-integer magnetic fields, the angular-momentum grading of a fixed Kepler shell is reorganized into the finite reduced Landau tower and its threshold endpoint. These exact correspondences hold in the stated reduced sectors despite the unitary inequivalence of the complete parent systems.

Affine Extension of the Free-Particle--Oscillator--Inverted-Oscillator Triangle

We study the one-dimensional linear-potential system as an affine extension of the conformal triangle formed by the free particle, harmonic oscillator (HO) and inverted harmonic oscillator (IHO). Unlike these homogeneous quadratic Hamiltonians in the $sl(2,\mathbb R)$ sector, the linear-potential Hamiltonian involves the Heisenberg ideal of the Schrödinger algebra. Its direct relation to the free particle is a regular accelerated-frame transformation, developed here at the levels of the classical action, canonical transformation, wave-function intertwiner and propagator; its HO and IHO realizations instead arise through singular displaced-oscillator limits. The Airy energy eigenstates follow from a cubic-phase transform of free-particle momentum eigenstates, from condensation of highly excited harmonic-oscillator levels, and from the limit of a subdominant parabolic-cylinder scattering branch of the inverted oscillator. We also develop a planar extension in homogeneous crossed electric and magnetic fields, where uniform acceleration generates the electric interaction, while uniform rotation produces the Landau coupling and the centrifugal inverted-oscillator term; the guiding-center dynamics yields the Hall drift.

The Free Particle--Oscillator--Inverted Oscillator Triangle: Conformal Bridges, Metaplectic Rotations and $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$ Structure

We study the free particle (FP), the harmonic oscillator (HO) and the inverted harmonic oscillator (IHO) as parabolic, elliptic and hyperbolic realizations of one conformal/metaplectic structure, naturally extended to the superconformal algebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$. Since the corresponding self-adjoint Hamiltonians have different spectra, the relations between them are not ordinary unitary equivalences. They are instead bridge transformations between different realizations of the same conformal module. We show that the zero-energy Jordan states of the FP are mapped to HO bound states and to the two IHO Gamow families, while FP plane waves are mapped to HO coherent states and, after light-cone Mellin decomposition, to the IHO scattering data. The direct FP--IHO bridge is a real metaplectic quarter-rotation, in contrast with the stationary FP--HO conformal bridge, which is nonunitary in the Schrödinger representation but becomes unitary as a change of polarization to the Fock--Bargmann representation. The IHO transmission and reflection amplitudes are obtained as Fourier--Mellin connection coefficients, equivalently as Weber/Stokes connection data. We also describe the hyperbolic Cayley--Niederer map for the time-dependent Schrödinger equation, the Wigner/separatrix picture, and the coherent-state and Bogoliubov-transformation aspects of the construction. Some physical applications of the hyperbolic sector are briefly discussed, including quantum Hall saddle scattering, Schwinger-type production, Rindler/Unruh and near-horizon Hawking settings, and Berry--Keating/inverse-square structures.

Projective Time, Cayley Transformations and the Schwarzian Geometry of the Free Particle--Oscillator Correspondence

We investigate the relation between the one--dimensional free particle and the harmonic oscillator from a unified viewpoint based on projective geometry, Cayley transformations, and the Schwarzian derivative. Treating time as a projective coordinate on $\mathbb {RP}^1$ clarifies the $SL(2,\mathbb R)\cong Sp(2,\mathbb R)$ conformal sector of the Schrödinger--Jacobi symmetry and provides a common framework for two seemingly different correspondences: the Cayley--Niederer (lens) map between the time--dependent Schrödinger equations and the conformal bridge transformation relating the stationary problems. We formulate these relations as canonical transformations on the extended phase space and as their metaplectic lifts, identifying the quantum Cayley map with the Bargmann transform. General time reparametrizations induce oscillator--type terms governed universally by the Schwarzian cocycle, connecting the present construction to broader appearances of Schwarzian dynamics.

Conformal Symmetry of Relativistic and Nonrelativistic Systems and AdS/CFT Correspondence

The nonlinear realization of conformal so(2,d) symmetry for relativistic systems and the dynamical conformal so(2,1) symmetry of nonrelativistic systems are investigated in the context of AdS/CFT correspondence. We show that the massless particle in d-dimensional Minkowski space can be treated as the system confined to the border of the AdS_{d+1} of infinite radius, while various nonrelativistic systems may be canonically related to a relativistic (massless, massive, or tachyon) particle on the AdS_2 X S^{d-1}. The list of nonrelativistic systems "unified" by such a correspondence comprises the conformal mechanics model, the planar charge-vortex and 3-dimensional charge-monopole systems, the particle in a planar gravitational field of a point massive source, and the conformal model associated with the charged particle propagating near the horizon of the extreme Reissner-Nordstrom black hole.

Weak-strong duality of the non-commutative Landau problem induced by a two-vortex permutation, and conformal bridge transformation

A correspondence is established between the dynamics of the two-vortex system and the non-commutative Landau problem (NCLP) in its sub- (non-chiral), super- (chiral) and critical phases. As a result, a trivial permutation symmetry of the point vortices induces a weak-strong coupling duality in the NCLP. We show that quantum two-vortex systems with non-zero total vorticity can be generated by applying conformal bridge transformation to a two-dimensional quantum free particle or to a quantum vortex-antivortex system of zero total vorticity. The sub- and super-critical phases of the quantum NCLP are generated in a similar way from the 2D quantum free particle in a commutative or non-commutative plane. The composition of the inverse and direct transformations of the conformal bridge also makes it possible to link the non-chiral and chiral phases in each of these two systems.

Conformal bridge transformation, $\mathcal{PT}$- and super- symmetry

Supersymmetric extensions of the 1D and 2D Swanson models are investigated by applying the conformal bridge transformation (CBT) to the first order Berry-Keating Hamiltonian multiplied by $i$ and its conformally neutral enlargements. The CBT plays the role of the Dyson map that transforms the models into supersymmetric generalizations of the 1D and 2D harmonic oscillator systems, allowing us to define pseudo-Hermitian conjugation and a suitable inner product. In the 1D case, we construct a $\mathcal{PT}$-invariant supersymmetric model with $N$ subsystems by using the conformal generators of supersymmetric free particle, and identify its complete set of the true bosonic and fermionic integrals of motion. We also investigate an exotic $N=2$ supersymmetric generalization, in which the higher order supercharges generate nonlinear superalgebras. We generalize the construction for the 2D case to obtain the $\mathcal{PT}$-invariant supersymmetric systems that transform into the spin-1/2 Landau problem with and without an additional Aharonov-Bohm flux, where in the latter case, the well-defined integrals of motion appear only when the flux is quantized. We also build a 2D supersymmetric Hamiltonian related to the "exotic rotational invariant harmonic oscillator" system governed by a dynamical parameter $γ$. The bosonic and fermionic hidden symmetries for this model are shown to exist for rational values of $γ$.

Dynamics, symmetries, anomaly and vortices in a rotating cosmic string background

Non-relativistic conformally invariant systems in a rotating cosmic string (conical) spacetime are analyzed at the classical and quantum levels by means of the gravitoelectromagnetic interpretation of the background. Solutions of the equations of motion are found by employing a local canonical transformation, that leads to their natural interpretation in terms of Riemann surfaces. The cone parameter $α$ and the angular velocity $Ω$ of the background determine the existence of hidden symmetries. Globally defined higher order integrals associated with perihelion of geodesic orbits appear at rational values of $α$. For the harmonic oscillator system with frequency $ω$, the integrals responsible for the trajectory closure arise only for rational values of $α$ and $|γ|=|Ω/ω|$, with $|γ|=1$ corresponding to the Landau problem. We face a quantum anomaly problem since the hidden symmetry operators can only be constructed when $α$ is integer. Such operators are non-local in the case of the free particle. For the harmonic oscillator, the symmetry generators are obtained with the help of the conformal bridge transformation. We also study a multi-particle version of the harmonic oscillator system with $|γ|=1$ using the mean-field theory and find that the emerging vortex structure respects a singular point of the background.

Conformal bridge transformation and PT symmetry

The conformal bridge transformation (CBT) is reviewed in the light of the $\mathcal{PT}$ symmetry. Originally, the CBT was presented as a non-unitary transformation (a complex canonical transformation in the classical case) that relates two different forms of dynamics in the sense of Dirac. Namely, it maps the asymptotically free form into the harmonically confined form of dynamics associated with the $\mathfrak{so}(2,1)\cong \mathfrak{sl}(2,{\mathbb R})$ conformal symmetry. However, as the transformation relates the non-Hermitian operator $i\hat{D}$, where $\hat{D}$ is the generator of dilations, with the compact Hermitian generator $\hat{\mathcal{J}}_0$ of the $\mathfrak{sl}(2,{\mathbb R})$ algebra, the CBT generator can be associated with a $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric metric. In this work we review the applications of this transformation for one- and two-dimensional systems, as well as for systems on a cosmic string background, and for a conformally extended charged particle in the field of Dirac monopole. We also compare and unify the CBT with the Darboux transformation. The latter is used to construct $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric solutions of the equations of the KdV hierarchy with the properties of extreme waves. As a new result, by using a modified CBT we relate the one-dimensional $\mathcal{PT}$-regularized asymptotically free conformal mechanics model with the $\mathcal{PT}$-regularized version of the de Alfaro, Fubini and Furlan system.

Conformal bridge in a cosmic string background

Hidden symmetries of non-relativistic $\mathfrak{so} (2,1)\cong \mathfrak{sl}(2, {\mathbb R})$ invariant systems in a cosmic string background are studied using the conformal bridge transformation. Geometric properties of this background are analogous to those of a conical surface with a deficiency/excess angle encoded in the "geometrical parameter" $α$, determined by the linear positive/negative mass density of the string. The free particle and the harmonic oscillator on this background are shown to be related by the conformal bridge transformation. To identify the integrals of the free system, we employ a local canonical transformation that relates the model with its planar version. The conformal bridge transformation is then used to map the obtained integrals to those of the harmonic oscillator on the cone. Well-defined classical integrals in both models exist only at $α=q/k$ with $q,k=1,2,\ldots,$ which for $q>1$ are higher-order generators of finite nonlinear algebras. The systems are quantized for arbitrary values of $α$; however, the well-defined hidden symmetry operators associated with spectral degeneracies only exist when $α$ is an integer, that reveals a quantum anomaly.

Conformal generation of an exotic rotationally invariant harmonic oscillator

An exotic rotationally invariant harmonic oscillator (ERIHO) is constructed by applying a non-unitary isotropic conformal bridge transformation (CBT) to a free planar particle. It is described by the isotropic harmonic oscillator Hamiltonian supplemented by a Zeeman type term with a real coupling constant $g$. The model reveals the Euclidean ($|g|<1$) and Minkowskian ($|g|>1$) phases separated by the phases $g=+1$ and $g=-1$ of the Landau problem in the symmetric gauge with opposite orientation of the magnetic field. A hidden symmetry emerges in the system at rational values of $g$. Its generators, together with the Hamiltonian and angular momentum produce non-linearly deformed $\mathfrak{u}(2)$ and $\mathfrak{gl}(2,{\mathbb R})$ algebras in the cases of $0<|g|<1$ and $\infty>|g|>1$, which transmute one into another under the inversion $g\rightarrow -1/g$. Similarly, the true, $\mathfrak{u}(2)$, and extended conformal, $\mathfrak{gl}(2,{\mathbb R})$, symmetries of the isotropic Euclidean oscillator ($g=0$) interchange their roles in the isotropic Minkowskian oscillator ($|g|=\infty$), while two copies of the $\mathfrak{gl}(2,{\mathbb R})$ algebra of analogous symmetries mutually transmute in Landau phases. We show that the ERIHO system is transformed by a peculiar unitary transformation into the anisotropic harmonic oscillator generated, in turn, by anisotropic CBT. The relationship between the ERIHO and the subcritical phases of the harmonically extended Landau problem, as well as with a plane isotropic harmonic oscillator in a uniformly rotating reference frame, is established.

Conformal bridge between asymptotic freedom and confinement

We construct a nonunitary transformation that relates a given "asymptotically free" conformal quantum mechanical system $H_f$ with its confined, harmonically trapped version $H_c$. In our construction, Jordan states corresponding to the zero eigenvalue of $H_f$, as well as its eigenstates and Gaussian packets are mapped into the eigenstates, coherent states and squeezed states of $H_c$, respectively. The transformation is an automorphism of the conformal $\mathfrak{sl}(2,{\mathbb R})$ algebra of the nature of the fourth-order root of the identity transformation, to which a complex canonical transformation corresponds on the classical level being the fourth-order root of the spatial reflection. We investigate the one- and two-dimensional examples that reveal, in particular, a curious relation between the two-dimensional free particle and the Landau problem.

Hidden symmetry and (super)conformal mechanics in a monopole background

We study classical and quantum hidden symmetries of a particle with electric charge $e$ in the background of a Dirac monopole of magnetic charge $g$ subjected to an additional central potential $V(r)=U(r) +(eg)^2/2mr^{2}$ with $U(r)=\tfrac{1}{2}mω^2r^2$, similar to that in the one-dimensional conformal mechanics model of de Alfaro, Fubini and Furlan (AFF). By means of a non-unitary conformal bridge transformation, we establish a relation of the quantum states and of all symmetries of the system with those of the system without harmonic trap, $U(r)=0$. Introducing spin degrees of freedom via a very special spin-orbit coupling, we construct the $\mathfrak{osp}(2,2)$ superconformal extension of the system with unbroken $\mathcal{N}=2$ Poincaré supersymmetry and show that two different superconformal extensions of the one-dimensional AFF model with unbroken and spontaneously broken supersymmetry have a common origin. We also show a universal relationship between the dynamics of a Euclidean particle in an arbitrary central potential $U(r)$ and the dynamics of a charged particle in a monopole background subjected to the potential $V(r)$.

Exotic nonlinear supersymmetry and integrable systems

Peculiar properties of many classical and quantum systems can be related to, or derived from those of a free particle. In this way we explain the appearance and peculiarities of the exotic nonlinear Poincaré supersymmetry in reflectionless and finite-gap quantum systems related to the Korteweg-de Vries equation. The same approach is used to explain the origin and the nature of nonlinear symmetries in the perfectly invisible $\mathcal{PT}$-regularized conformal and superconformal mechanics systems.

Nonlinear supersymmetry as a hidden symmetry

Nonlinear supersymmetry is characterized by supercharges to be higher order in bosonic momenta of a system, and thus has a nature of a hidden symmetry. We review some aspects of nonlinear supersymmetry and related to it exotic supersymmetry and nonlinear superconformal symmetry. Examples of reflectionless, finite-gap and perfectly invisible PT-symmetric zero-gap systems, as well as rational deformations of the quantum harmonic oscillator and conformal mechanics, are considered, in which such symmetries are realized.

Klein four-group and Darboux duality in conformal mechanics

We study the Klein four-group $(K_4)$ symmetry of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation for the conformal mechanics model of de Alfaro-Fubini-Furlan (AFF) with confining harmonic potential and coupling constant $g=ν(ν+1)\geq -1/4$. We show that it undergoes a complete or partial (at half-integer $ν$) breaking on eigenstates of the system, and is the automorphism of the $\mathfrak{osp}(2,2)$ superconformal symmetry in super-extensions of the model by inducing a transformation between the exact and spontaneously broken phases of $\mathcal{N}=2$ Poincaré supersymmetry. We exploit the $K_4$ symmetry and its relation with the conformal symmetry to construct the dual Darboux transformations which generate spectrally shifted pairs of the rationally deformed AFF models. Two distinct pairs of intertwining operators originated from Darboux duality allow us to construct complete sets of the spectrum generating ladder operators that identify specific finite-gap structure of a deformed system and generate three distinct related versions of nonlinearly deformed $\mathfrak{sl}(2,{\mathbb R})$ algebra as its symmetry. We show that at half-integer $ν$, the Jordan states associated with confluent Darboux transformations enter the construction, and the spectrum of rationally deformed AFF systems undergoes structural changes.

Nonlinear symmetries of perfectly invisible $PT$-regularized conformal and superconformal mechanics systems

We investigate how the Lax-Novikov integral in the perfectly invisible $PT$-regularized zero-gap quantum conformal and superconformal mechanics systems affects on their (super)-conformal symmetries. We show that the expansion of the conformal symmetry with this integral results in a nonlinearly extended generalized Shrödinger algebra. The $PT$-regularized superconformal mechanics systems in the phase of the unbroken exotic nonlinear $\mathcal{N}=4$ super-Poincaré symmetry are described by nonlinearly super-extended Schrödinger algebra with the $osp(2|2)$ sub-superalgebra. In the partially broken phase, the scaling dimension of all odd integrals is indefinite, and the $osp(2|2)$ is not contained as a sub-superalgebra.
