Hyperbolic space groups and edge conditions for their domains

Looking to the fundamental domains of space groups we can investigate in which space they can be realized. If this space is hyperbolic, then the corresponding space group is also hyperbolic. In addition to the usual methods for investigating space of realization, the symmetries of the fundamental polyhedron can give new restricted conditions, here called edge conditions. The aim of the research is to find out in which cases simplicial fundamental domains are hyperbolic with vertices out of the absolute. For this reason, edge conditions for simplicial fundamental domains belonging to Family F12 by the notation of E. Molnár et all in 2006, are considered.

Non-fundamental trunc-simplex tilings and their optimal hyperball packings and coverings in hyperbolic space I. For families F1-F4

Supergroups of some hyperbolic space groups are classified as a continuation of our former works. Fundamental domains will be integer parts of truncated tetrahedra belonging to families F1 - F4, for a while, by the notation of E. Molnár et al. in $2006$. As an application, optimal congruent hyperball packings and coverings to the truncation base planes with their very good densities are computed. This covering density is better than the conjecture of L.~Fejes~Tóth for balls and horoballs in $1964$.

Minimal 3-triangulations of $p$-toroid

It is known that we can always 3-triangulate (i.e. divide into tetrahedra) convex polyhedra but not always non-convex ones. Polyhedra topologically equivalent to sphere with $p$ handles, shortly $p$-toroids, could not be convex. So, it is interesting to investigate possibilities and properties of their 3-triangulations. Here, we study the minimal necessary number of tetrahedra for the triangulation of a 3-triangulable $p$-toroid. For that purpose, we developed the concepts of piecewise convex polyhedra and graphs of connection.
