Vidu S2: Real-Time Interactive, Editable, and Spatial Video Generation

We present Vidu S2, which comprises Vidu S2-Avatar, a real-time interactive digital-character model, and Vidu S2-Editing, a real-time video editing model. Moreover, we explore the feasibility of real-time spatial video generation for both Vidu S2-Avatar and Vidu S2-Editing. Compared with Vidu S1, Vidu S2-Avatar supports real-time 720p video generation, generation with dynamic references that can be updated at any moment, and stronger instruction following, such as dancing. Vidu S2-Editing supports editing a video stream in real time, including style rendering, clothing replacement, character replacement, and background replacement. Experiments show that Vidu S2 outperforms all baselines. A playable online demo is available at https://vidu.com/vidu-stream.

Motus2: A Self-Evolving General World Model for Dexterous Manipulation

General embodied agents should perceive, predict, act, evaluate, and improve within a unified system. World models have shown great promise in building such agents, yet existing models typically append an action output head to a world simulator, without coupling them into a closed decision-and-learning loop for policy improvement. We present Motus2, a self-evolving general world model for dexterous manipulation. Motus2 advances world modeling through model scaling and data scaling. For model scaling, a single model with shared weights exposes three control interfaces: a policy (world-action model), a simulator (action-conditioned world model), and an evaluator (value model). The policy proposes candidate action chunks, the simulator predicts their visual consequences, and the evaluator assesses the predicted outcomes. Their coupling forms a closed decision-and-learning loop for policy improvement. This formulation uses curated expert demonstrations for action learning, while failed and suboptimal interactions provide valuable evidence for dynamics modeling and value learning. For data scaling, Motus2 progresses from large-scale monocular egocentric data to synchronized stereo egocentric data, followed by robot-domain adaptation with robot trajectories and supplementary human-robot alignment data. Motus2 further studies global-autoregressive and hybrid-memory extensions of its sliding-window context, adds tactile feedback for contact-aware control, and is instantiated on a fully biomimetic platform with stereo vision, dual arms, dual dexterous hands, and tactile sensing. Together, egocentric data scaling and closed-loop general world model scaling provide a general path toward self-evolving dexterous manipulation.

Propagation phenomena in KPP-bistable periodic patchy environments

This paper first investigates the propagation dynamics of solutions to the Cauchy problem for a one-dimensional reaction-diffusion equation in a spatially periodic environment consisting of two distinct patch types. The novelty of this work lies in the systematic analysis of a KPP-bistable heterogeneous framework. In this setting, the respective patch lengths, the linear stability of the zero solution and the positive periodic steady state, and the magnitude of the initial data play crucial roles in the long-time dynamics. We first establish persistence properties of the species, showing that uniform persistence holds when the zero steady state of the associated periodic patch model is unstable, while local persistence is obtained under additional suitable conditions. Using a dynamical systems approach, we further establish spreading properties and demonstrate the existence of pulsating traveling waves in two different cases, depending on whether the trivial solution is unstable or stable. Finally, we present two sets of sufficient conditions characterizing species extinction.

Causal-rCM: A Unified Teacher-Forcing and Self-Forcing Open Recipe for Autoregressive Diffusion Distillation in Streaming Video Generation and Interactive World Models

Autoregressive video diffusion with causal diffusion transformers has emerged as a major paradigm for real-time streaming video generation and action-conditioned interactive world models. In this work, we extend rCM, an advanced diffusion distillation framework, to autoregressive video diffusion. The core philosophy of rCM lies in the complementarity between forward and reverse divergences, represented by consistency models (CMs) and distribution matching distillation (DMD), respectively, in diffusion distillation. This philosophy naturally carries over to the autoregressive setting, where teacher-forcing (TF) provides an offline, forward-divergence causal training paradigm, while self-forcing (SF) corresponds to an on-policy, reverse-divergence refinement. Our contributions are: (1) through extensive experiments, we show that teacher-forcing CM is currently the best complement to self-forcing DMD as an initialization strategy (2) we present the first implementation of teacher-forcing-based continuous-time CMs (e.g., sCM/MeanFlow) for autoregressive video diffusion, enabled by our custom-mask FlashAttention-2 JVP kernel, achieving 10$\times$ faster convergence compared to discrete-time CMs (dCMs) (3) we introduce Causal-rCM, a leading, unified, and scalable algorithm-infrastructure open recipe for diffusion distillation and causal training (4) we achieve state-of-the-art streaming video generation performance in both frame-wise and chunk-wise settings, using only synthetic data for training. Notably, our distilled 2-step causal Wan2.1-1.3B model achieves a VBench-T2V score of 84.63 with only 1 or 2 sampling steps. We further apply Causal-rCM to Cosmos 3, an advanced omnimodal world foundation model for physical AI with action-conditioned generation capability, enabling an interactive world model.

minWM: A Full-Stack Open-Source Framework for Real-Time Interactive Video World Models

Recent video diffusion foundation models have achieved remarkable progress in high-quality video generation, yet turning them into real-time interactive video world models remains challenging. Interactive world models require controllable, causal, and low-latency rollout, which in practice demands a full pipeline spanning data construction, controllable fine-tuning, autoregressive training, few-step distillation, and streaming inference. In this work, we present minWM, a full-stack open-source framework for building real-time interactive video world models. minWM provides an end-to-end pipeline that converts existing bidirectional T2V/TI2V video foundation models into camera-controllable few-step autoregressive world models. Specifically, minWM first fine-tunes a bidirectional video diffusion model with camera control, and then applies the Causal Forcing / Causal Forcing++ pipeline, including AR diffusion training, causal ODE or causal consistency distillation, and asymmetric DMD, to distill it into a few-step autoregressive generator for low-latency rollout. The framework is modular and architecture-extensible: we instantiate it on representative open backbones, including Wan2.1-T2V-1.3B and HY1.5-TI2V-8B, covering both cross-attention-based condition injection and MMDiT-style architectures. minWM also supports adapting existing video world models, such as HY-WorldPlay, to new data distributions, training recipes, and latency targets. Beyond releasing runnable scripts, checkpoints, documentation, and inference code, we provide practical ablations on camera trajectory quality, controllability training steps, and minimal batch-size requirements. We hope minWM serves as a reproducible and extensible recipe for building and adapting real-time interactive video world models. Causal Forcing++: Scalable Few-Step Autoregressive Diffusion Distillation for Real-Time Interactive Video Generation

Real-time interactive video generation requires low-latency, streaming, and controllable rollout. Existing autoregressive (AR) diffusion distillation methods have achieved strong results in the chunk-wise 4-step regime by distilling bidirectional base models into few-step AR students, but they remain limited by coarse response granularity and non-negligible sampling latency. In this paper, we study a more aggressive setting: frame-wise autoregression with only 1--2 sampling steps. In this regime, we identify the initialization of a few-step AR student as the key bottleneck: existing strategies are either target-misaligned, incapable of few-step generation, or too costly to scale. We propose \textbf{Causal Forcing++}, a principled and scalable pipeline that uses \emph{causal consistency distillation} (causal CD) for few-step AR initialization. The core idea is that causal CD learns the same AR-conditional flow map as causal ODE distillation, but obtains supervision from a single online teacher ODE step between adjacent timesteps, avoiding the need to precompute and store full PF-ODE trajectories. This makes the initialization both more efficient and easier to optimize. The resulting pipeline, \ours, surpasses the SOTA 4-step chunk-wise Causal Forcing under the \textit{\textbf{frame-wise 2-step setting}} by 0.1 in VBench Total, 0.3 in VBench Quality, and 0.335 in VisionReward, while reducing first-frame latency by 50\% and Stage 2 training cost by $\sim$$4\times$. We further extend the pipeline to action-conditioned world model generation in the spirit of Genie3. Project Page: https://github.com/thu-ml/Causal-Forcing and https://github.com/shengshu-ai/minWM .

Revisiting Privacy Preservation in Brain-Computer Interfaces: Conceptual Boundaries, Risk Pathways, and a Protection-Strength Grading Framework

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are moving rapidly from laboratory research into clinical, edge, and real-world settings. Under ISO/IEC 8663:2025, a BCI is a direct communication link between central nervous system activity and external software or hardware systems. This link expands privacy risk beyond raw neural-signal leakage: neural data, derived representations, model assets, and decoded outputs can be re-associated with individuals across collection, transmission, storage, training, inference, and feedback, or used to infer information beyond what a task requires. Starting from the general BCI paradigm, this review deffnes privacy-protection boundaries, protection objects, and the relationship between user data privacy and model privacy within a shared risk pathway. It then proposes a three-dimensional framework - protection object, lifecycle stage, and dominant protection-strength level - to classify existing work into four levels of protection strength. Finally, mental privacy and neuroethical risks are treated as open issues, emphasizing that BCI privacy protection should not only obscure data but also disentangle task-irrelevant sensitive information while preserving downstream utility. Pose-Aware Diffusion for 3D Generation

Generating pose-aligned 3D objects is challenging due to the spatial mismatches and transformation ambiguities inherent in decoupled canonical-then-rotate paradigms. To this end, we introduce Pose-Aware Diffusion (PAD), a novel end-to-end diffusion framework that synthesizes 3D geometry directly within the observation space. By unprojecting monocular depth into a partial point cloud and explicitly injecting it as a 3D geometric anchor, PAD abandons canonical assumptions to enforce rigorous spatial supervision. This native generation intrinsically resolves pose ambiguity, producing high-fidelity pose-aligned assets. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PAD achieves superior geometric alignment and image-to-3D correspondence compared to state-of-the-art methods. Additionally, PAD naturally extends to compositional 3D scene reconstruction via a simple union of independently generated objects, highlighting its robust ability to preserve precise spatial layouts.

Causal Forcing: Autoregressive Diffusion Distillation Done Right for High-Quality Real-Time Interactive Video Generation

To achieve real-time interactive video generation, current methods distill pretrained bidirectional video diffusion models into few-step autoregressive (AR) models, facing an architectural gap when full attention is replaced by causal attention. However, existing approaches do not bridge this gap theoretically. They initialize the AR student via ODE distillation, which requires frame-level injectivity, where each noisy frame must map to a unique clean frame under the PF-ODE of an AR teacher. Distilling an AR student from a bidirectional teacher violates this condition, preventing recovery of the teacher's flow map and instead inducing a conditional-expectation solution, which degrades performance. To address this issue, we propose Causal Forcing, which uses an autoregressive teacher for ODE initialization to bridge the architectural gap, and then applies the same DMD procedure as in Self Forcing. Empirical results show that our method outperforms all baselines across all metrics, surpassing the SOTA Self Forcing by 19.3\% in Dynamic Degree, 8.7\% in VisionReward, and 16.7\% in Instruction Following. UltraImage: Rethinking Resolution Extrapolation in Image Diffusion Transformers

Recent image diffusion transformers achieve high-fidelity generation, but struggle to generate images beyond these scales, suffering from content repetition and quality degradation. In this work, we present UltraImage, a principled framework that addresses both issues. Through frequency-wise analysis of positional embeddings, we identify that repetition arises from the periodicity of the dominant frequency, whose period aligns with the training resolution. We introduce a recursive dominant frequency correction to constrain it within a single period after extrapolation. Furthermore, we find that quality degradation stems from diluted attention and thus propose entropy-guided adaptive attention concentration, which assigns higher focus factors to sharpen local attention for fine detail and lower ones to global attention patterns to preserve structural consistency. Experiments show that UltraImage consistently outperforms prior methods on Qwen-Image and Flux (around 4K) across three generation scenarios, reducing repetition and improving visual fidelity. Moreover, UltraImage can generate images up to 6K*6K without low-resolution guidance from a training resolution of 1328p, demonstrating its extreme extrapolation capability. UltraViCo: Breaking Extrapolation Limits in Video Diffusion Transformers

Despite advances, video diffusion transformers still struggle to generalize beyond their training length, a challenge we term video length extrapolation. We identify two failure modes: model-specific periodic content repetition and a universal quality degradation. Prior works attempt to solve repetition via positional encodings, overlooking quality degradation and achieving only limited extrapolation. In this paper, we revisit this challenge from a more fundamental view: attention maps, which directly govern how context influences outputs. We identify that both failure modes arise from a unified cause: attention dispersion, where tokens beyond the training window dilute learned attention patterns. This leads to quality degradation and repetition emerges as a special case when this dispersion becomes structured into periodic attention patterns, induced by harmonic properties of positional encodings. Building on this insight, we propose UltraViCo, a training-free, plug-and-play method that suppresses attention for tokens beyond the training window via a constant decay factor. By jointly addressing both failure modes, we outperform a broad set of baselines largely across models and extrapolation ratios, pushing the extrapolation limit from 2x to 4x. Remarkably, it improves Dynamic Degree and Imaging Quality by 233% and 40.5% over the previous best method at 4x extrapolation. Furthermore, our method generalizes seamlessly to downstream tasks such as controllable video synthesis and editing.

Spreading Properties of a City-Road Reaction-Diffusion Model on One-Dimensional Lattice

We propose and study a new model to describe biological invasions constrained on infinite homogeneous one dimensional metric graphs. Our model consists of an infinite PDE-ODE system where, at each vertex of the one-dimensional lattice $\mathbb{Z}$, we have a logistic equation, and connections between vertices are given by diffusion equations on the edges supplemented with Robin like boundary conditions at the vertices. We establish the main properties of the system and study the long time behavior of the solutions, especially by characterizing an asymptotic spreading speed for the system. In the fast diffusion regime, we derive a novel asymptotic model which exhibits similar propagation properties as the classical discrete Fisher-KPP on the one-dimensional lattice $\mathbb{Z}$.

SLA: Beyond Sparsity in Diffusion Transformers via Fine-Tunable Sparse-Linear Attention

In Diffusion Transformer (DiT) models, particularly for video generation, attention latency is a major bottleneck due to the long sequence length and the quadratic complexity. We find that attention weights can be separated into two parts: a small fraction of large weights with high rank and the remaining weights with very low rank. This naturally suggests applying sparse acceleration to the first part and low-rank acceleration to the second. Based on this finding, we propose SLA (Sparse-Linear Attention), a trainable attention method that fuses sparse and linear attention to accelerate diffusion models. SLA classifies attention weights into critical, marginal, and negligible categories, applying O(N^2) attention to critical weights, O(N) attention to marginal weights, and skipping negligible ones. SLA combines these computations into a single GPU kernel and supports both forward and backward passes. With only a few fine-tuning steps using SLA, DiT models achieve a 20x reduction in attention computation, resulting in significant acceleration without loss of generation quality. Experiments show that SLA reduces attention computation by 95% without degrading end-to-end generation quality, outperforming baseline methods. In addition, we implement an efficient GPU kernel for SLA, which yields a 13.7x speedup in attention computation and a 2.2x end-to-end speedup in video generation on Wan2.1-1.3B. The code is available at https://github.com/thu-ml/SLA.

BRIEF: BRain-Inspired network connection search with Extensive temporal feature Fusion enhances disease classification

Existing deep learning models for functional MRI-based classification have limitations in network architecture determination (relying on experience) and feature space fusion (mostly simple concatenation, lacking mutual learning). Inspired by the human brain's mechanism of updating neural connections through learning and decision-making, we proposed a novel BRain-Inspired feature Fusion (BRIEF) framework, which is able to optimize network architecture automatically by incorporating an improved neural network connection search (NCS) strategy and a Transformer-based multi-feature fusion module. Specifically, we first extracted 4 types of fMRI temporal representations, i.e., time series (TCs), static/dynamic functional connection (FNC/dFNC), and multi-scale dispersion entropy (MsDE), to construct four encoders. Within each encoder, we employed a modified Q-learning to dynamically optimize the NCS to extract high-level feature vectors, where the NCS is formulated as a Markov Decision Process. Then, all feature vectors were fused via a Transformer, leveraging both stable/time-varying connections and multi-scale dependencies across different brain regions to achieve the final classification. Additionally, an attention module was embedded to improve interpretability. The classification performance of our proposed BRIEF was compared with 21 state-of-the-art models by discriminating two mental disorders from healthy controls: schizophrenia (SZ, n=1100) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD, n=1550). BRIEF demonstrated significant improvements of 2.2% to 12.1% compared to 21 algorithms, reaching an AUC of 91.5% - 0.6% for SZ and 78.4% - 0.5% for ASD, respectively. This is the first attempt to incorporate a brain-inspired, reinforcement learning strategy to optimize fMRI-based mental disorder classification, showing significant potential for identifying precise neuroimaging biomarkers.

FlexWorld: Progressively Expanding 3D Scenes for Flexiable-View Synthesis

Generating flexible-view 3D scenes, including 360{\deg} rotation and zooming, from single images is challenging due to a lack of 3D data. To this end, we introduce FlexWorld, a novel framework consisting of two key components: (1) a strong video-to-video (V2V) diffusion model to generate high-quality novel view images from incomplete input rendered from a coarse scene, and (2) a progressive expansion process to construct a complete 3D scene. In particular, leveraging an advanced pre-trained video model and accurate depth-estimated training pairs, our V2V model can generate novel views under large camera pose variations. Building upon it, FlexWorld progressively generates new 3D content and integrates it into the global scene through geometry-aware scene fusion. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of FlexWorld in generating high-quality novel view videos and flexible-view 3D scenes from single images, achieving superior visual quality under multiple popular metrics and datasets compared to existing state-of-the-art methods. Qualitatively, we highlight that FlexWorld can generate high-fidelity scenes with flexible views like 360{\deg} rotations and zooming. Project page: https://ml-gsai.github.io/FlexWorld.

FedDA-TSformer: Federated Domain Adaptation with Vision TimeSformer for Left Ventricle Segmentation on Gated Myocardial Perfusion SPECT Image

Background and Purpose: Functional assessment of the left ventricle using gated myocardial perfusion (MPS) single-photon emission computed tomography relies on the precise extraction of the left ventricular contours while simultaneously ensuring the security of patient data. Methods: In this paper, we introduce the integration of Federated Domain Adaptation with TimeSformer, named 'FedDA-TSformer' for left ventricle segmentation using MPS. FedDA-TSformer captures spatial and temporal features in gated MPS images, leveraging spatial attention, temporal attention, and federated learning for improved domain adaptation while ensuring patient data security. In detail, we employed Divide-Space-Time-Attention mechanism to extract spatio-temporal correlations from the multi-centered MPS datasets, ensuring that predictions are spatio-temporally consistent. To achieve domain adaptation, we align the model output on MPS from three different centers using local maximum mean discrepancy (LMMD) loss. This approach effectively addresses the dual requirements of federated learning and domain adaptation, enhancing the model's performance during training with multi-site datasets while ensuring the protection of data from different hospitals. Results: Our FedDA-TSformer was trained and evaluated using MPS datasets collected from three hospitals, comprising a total of 150 subjects. Each subject's cardiac cycle was divided into eight gates. The model achieved Dice Similarity Coefficients (DSC) of 0.842 and 0.907 for left ventricular (LV) endocardium and epicardium segmentation, respectively. Conclusion: Our proposed FedDA-TSformer model addresses the challenge of multi-center generalization, ensures patient data privacy protection, and demonstrates effectiveness in left ventricular (LV) segmentation.
