Towards Long-horizon Embodied Agents with Tool-Aligned Vision-Language-Action Models

Vision-language-action (VLA) models are effective robot action executors, but they remain limited on long-horizon tasks due to the dual burden of extended closed-loop planning and diverse physical operations. We therefore propose VLAs-as-Tools, a strategy that distributes this burden across a high-level vision language model (VLM) agent for temporal reasoning and a family of specialized VLA tools for diverse local physical operations. The VLM handles scene analysis, global planning, and recovery, while each VLA tool executes a bounded subtask. To tightly couple agent planning with VLA tool execution in long-horizon tasks, we introduce a VLA tool-family interface that exposes explicit tool selection and in-execution progress feedback, enabling efficient event-triggered agent replanning without continuous agent polling. To obtain diverse specialized VLA tools that faithfully follow agent invocations, we further propose Tool-Aligned Post-Training (TAPT), which constructs invocation-aligned training units for instruction following and adopts tool-family residual adapters for efficient tool specialization. Experiments show that VLAs-as-Tools improves the success rate of $π_{0.5}$ by 4.8 points on LIBERO-Long and 23.1 points on RoboTwin, and further enhances invocation fidelity by 15.0 points as measured by Non-biased Rate. Code will be released.

Prune2Drive: A Plug-and-Play Framework for Accelerating Vision-Language Models in Autonomous Driving

Vision-Language Models (VLMs) have emerged as a promising paradigm in autonomous driving (AD), providing a unified framework for perception and decision-making. However, their real-world deployment is hindered by significant computational overhead when processing high-resolution, multi-view images. This complexity stems from the massive number of visual tokens, which increases inference latency and memory consumption due to the quadratic complexity of self-attention. To address these challenges, we propose Prune2Drive, a plug-and-play visual token pruning framework for multi-view VLMs in AD. Prune2Drive introduces two core innovations: (i) a diversity-aware token selection mechanism that prioritizes semantic and spatial coverage across views, and (ii) a view-adaptive pruning controller that automatically learns optimal pruning ratios based on camera importance to downstream tasks. Unlike prior methods, Prune2Drive requires no model retraining or access to attention maps, ensuring compatibility with modern efficient attention implementations. Extensive experiments on the DriveLM and DriveLMM-o1 benchmarks demonstrate that Prune2Drive achieves significant speedups and memory savings with minimal performance impact. When retaining only 10% of visual tokens, our method achieves a 6.40x speedup in the prefilling phase and consumes only 13.4% of the original FLOPs, with a mere 3% average performance drop on the DriveLM benchmark. It Takes Two: Learning Interactive Whole-Body Control Between Humanoid Robots

The true promise of humanoid robotics lies beyond single-agent autonomy: two or more humanoids must engage in physically grounded, socially meaningful whole-body interactions that echo the richness of human social interaction. However, single-humanoid methods suffer from the isolation issue, ignoring inter-agent dynamics and causing misaligned contacts, interpenetrations, and unrealistic motions. To address this, we present Harmanoid , a dual-humanoid motion imitation framework that transfers interacting human motions to two robots while preserving both kinematic fidelity and physical realism. Harmanoid comprises two key components: (i) contact-aware motion retargeting, which restores inter-body coordination by aligning SMPL contacts with robot vertices, and (ii) interaction-driven motion controller, which leverages interaction-specific rewards to enforce coordinated keypoints and physically plausible contacts. By explicitly modeling inter-agent contacts and interaction-aware dynamics, Harmanoid captures the coupled behaviors between humanoids that single-humanoid frameworks inherently overlook. Experiments demonstrate that Harmanoid significantly improves interactive motion imitation, surpassing existing single-humanoid frameworks that largely fail in such scenarios.
