Gizza Pyramidas and Taurus constellation

In this work we apply generalized A. Sparavigna method (use of freely available softwares (programs), e.g. http://www.sollumis.com/, http://suncalc.net/#/44.557,22.0265,13/2014.12.29/09:22, http://universimmedia.pagesperso-orange.fr/geo/loc.htm, http://www.spectralcalc.com/solar_calculator/solar_position.php and http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Yourhorizon) for analysis of possible astronomical characteristics of three remarkable Giza, i.e. Cheops, Chephren and Mikerin pyramids. Concretely, we use mentioned programs for determination of the Giza plateau longitude and latitude, moments of the sunrise and sunset for any day at the Giza plateau, and, simulation of the sky horizon above Giza plateau in any moment of any day, respectively. In this way we obtain a series of the figures which unambiguously imply the following original results. Any of three remarkable Giza pyramids (Cheops, Chephren and Mikerin) holds only one characteristic edge between apex and north-west vertex of the base so that sunrise direction overlap almost exactly this edge during 28. October. (There is a small declination of the overlap date by Chephren pyramid by which overlap date is approximately 23. or 24. October.) Simultaneously, in the sunset moment for the same day, Taurus constellation (corresponding to holly bull in ancient Egypt mythology) appears at a point at the very eastern boundary of the sky horizon.

Was Lepenski Vir an ancient Sun or Pleiades observatory?

In this work we consider some old hypotheses according to which remarkable mesolithic village Lepenski Vir (9500 -- 5500 BC) at the right (nearly west) Danube riverside in the Iron gate in Serbia was an ancient (one of the oldest) Sun observatory. We use method recently suggested by A. C. Sparavigna, concretely we use "freely available software" or local Sun radiation direction simulation computer programs. In this way we obtain and discuss pictures of the sunrise in the Lepenski Vir during winter and summer solstice and spring and autumn equinox in relation to position of the mountains, especially Treskavac (Trescovat) and Kukuvija at left (nearly east) Danube riverside (in Romania). While mountain Kukuvija represents really the marker for the Sun in date of the winter solstice, mountain Treskavac, in despite to usual opinions, does not represent a real marker for the Sun in date of the summer solstice. Sun rises behind Treskavac, roughly speaking, between 22.April and 1. May. It corresponds to year period when heliacal rising of the Pleiades constellation occurs, which by many ancient cultures, e.g. Celts of northern Europe, denotes very beginning of the year. All this, in common with some archeological facts (house-shrine No.47 in the Lepenski Vir holds seven signs beside hearth which would correspond to the seven Pleiades stars), opens a possibility that Lepenski Vir was an ancient Pleiades constellation observatory.

A complexity measure based method for studying the dependence of 222Rn concentration time series on indoor air temperature and humidity

We have suggested a complexity measure based method for studying the dependence of measured 222Rn concentration time series on indoor air temperature and humidity. This method is based on the Kolmogorov complexity (KL). We have introduced (i) the sequence of the KL, (ii) the Kolmogorov complexity highest value in the sequence (KLM) and (iii) the KL of the product of time series. The noticed loss of the KLM complexity of 222Rn concentration time series can be attributed to the indoor air humidity that keeps the radon daughters in air.

Dark Spring - a Simple Interpretation of the Susskind- Horowitz-Polchinsky Correspondence between Schwarzschild Black Hole and Strings

In this work we suggest a simplified interpretation of Susskind-Horowitz-Polchinski correspondence between Schwarzschild black hole and strings. Firstly, similarly to naive, classical mechanical Laplace determination of the Schwarzschild radius, we suggest a simple, classical mechanical equation. It determines amplitude of such sufficiently strong classical elastic force that forbids escape of a Planck mass particle moving by speed of light from end of corresponding classical elastic spring, simply called dark spring. Also, by use of a formal identity between given elastic force and Schwarzschild gravitational "force", we introduce phenomenologically a simple quantization rule. It states that circumference (corresponding to elastic force amplitude equivalent formally to Schwarzschild radius) holds natural number of corresponding reduced Compton's wave length. (It is deeply analogous to Bohr's quantization postulate in Bohr's atomic theory interpreted by de Broglie relation.) Then, very simply (by simple algebraic equations only) and surprisingly, we obtain such dark spring characteristics corresponding to basic thermodynamical characteristics (Bekenstein-Hawking entropy and Hawking temperature) for corresponding Schwarzschild black hole. Finally, simple comparison between obtained dark spring characteristics and Susskind-Horowitz-Polchinski correspondence, a simple correspondence between strings and dark spring, i.e. classical linear harmonic oscillator follows. Square root of the elasticity coefficient of the dark spring corresponds to quotient of one string coupling g and Newtonian gravitational constant, or, classical elasticity coefficient of the dark spring corresponds to reciprocal (inverse) value of the square root of a string state excitation level N.

There is Neither Classical Bug with a Superluminal Shadow Nor Quantum Absolute Collapse Nor (Subquantum) Superluminal Hidden Variable

In this work we analyse critically Griffiths's example of the classical superluminal motion of a bug shadow. Griffiths considers that this example is conceptually very close to quantum nonlocality or superluminality,i.e. quantum breaking of the famous Bell inequality. Or, generally, he suggests implicitly an absolute asymmetric duality (subluminality vs. superluminality) principle in any fundamental physical theory. It, he hopes, can be used for a natural interpretation of the quantum mechanics too. But we explain that such Griffiths's interpretation retires implicitly but significantly from usual, Copenhagen interpretation of the standard quantum mechanical formalism. Within Copenhagen interpretation basic complementarity principle represents, in fact, a dynamical symmetry principle (including its spontaneous breaking, i.e. effective hiding by measurement). Similarly, in other fundamental physical theories instead of Griffiths's absolute asymmetric duality principle there is a dynamical symmetry (including its spontaneous breaking, i.e. effective hiding in some of these theories) principle. Finally, we show that Griffiths's example of the bug shadow superluminal motion is definitely incorrect (it sharply contradicts the remarkable Roemer's determination of the speed of light by coming late of Jupiter's first moon shadow).

From Quantum To Classical Dynamics: A Landau Continuous Phase Transition With Spontaneous Superposition Breaking

Developing an earlier proposal (Ne'eman, Damnjanovic, etc), we show herein that there is a Landau continuous phase transition from the exact quantum dynamics to the effectively classical one, occurring via spontaneous superposition breaking (effective hiding), as a special case of the corresponding general formalism (Bernstein). Critical values of the order parameters for this transition are determined by Heisenberg's indeterminacy relations, change continuously, and are in excellent agreement with the recent and remarkable experiments with Bose condensation. It is also shown that such a phase transition can sucessfully model self-collapse (self-decoherence), as an effective classical phenomenon, on the measurement device. This then induces a relative collapse (relative decoherence) as an effective quantum phenomenon on the measured quantum object by measurement. We demonstrate this (including the case of Bose-Einstein condensation) in the well-known cases of the Stern-Gerlach spin measurement, Bell's inequality and the recently discussed quantum superposition on a mirror a la Marshall et al. These results provide for a proof that quantum mechanics, in distinction to all absolute collapse and hidden-variable theories, is local and objective. There now appear no insuperable obstacles to solving the open problems in quantum theory of measurement and foundation of quantum mechanics, and strictly within the standard quantum-mechanical formalism. Simply put, quantum mechanics is a field theory over the Hilbert space, the classical mechanics characteristics of which emerge through spontaneous superposition breaking.
