The high type quadratic Siegel disks are Jordan domains

Let $α$ be an irrational number of sufficiently high type and suppose $P_α(z)=e^{2πiα}z+z^2$ has a Siegel disk $Δ_α$ centered at the origin. We prove that the boundary of $Δ_α$ is a Jordan curve, and that it contains the critical point $-e^{2πiα}/2$ if and only if $α$ is a Herman number.

Wandering domains for entire functions of finite order in the Eremenko-Lyubich class

Recently Bishop constructed the first example of a bounded-type transcendental entire function with a wandering domain using a new technique called quasiconfomal folding. It is easy to check that his method produces an entire function of infinite order. We construct the first examples of entire functions of finite order in the class $\mathcal B$ with wandering domains. As in Bishop's example, these wandering domains are of oscillating type, that is, they have an unbounded non-escaping orbit. To construct such functions we use quasiregular interpolation instead of quasiconformal folding, which is much more straightforward. Our examples have order $p/2$ for any $p\in\mathbb{N}$ and, since the order of functions in the class $\mathcal B$ is at least $1/2$, we achieve the smallest possible order. Finally, we can modify the construction to obtain functions of finite order in the class $\mathcal B$ with any number of grand orbits of wandering domains, including infinitely many.

Conformality of quasiconformal mappings at a point, revisited

We present a new and simple proof of Teichmüller-Wittich-Belinskii's and Gutlyanskii-Martio's theorems on the conformality of quasiconformal mappings at a given point. Known proofs gave separate estimates for the radial and angular variations, but our proof unifies them using Grötzsch-type inequality for the variation of cross-ratio of four points on the Riemann sphere. We also give a sufficient condition for $C^{1+α}$-conformality

Satellite renormalization of quadratic polynomials

We prove the uniform hyperbolicity of the near-parabolic renormalization operators acting on an infinite-dimensional space of holomorphic transformations. This implies the universality of the scaling laws, conjectured by physicists in the 70's, for a combinatorial class of bifurcations. Through near-parabolic renormalizations the polynomial-like renormalizations of satellite type are successfully studied here for the first time, and new techniques are introduced to analyze the fine-scale dynamical features of maps with such infinite renormalization structures. In particular, we confirm the rigidity conjecture under a quadratic growth condition on the combinatorics. The class of maps addressed in the paper includes infinitely-renormalizable maps with degenerating geometries at small scales (lack of a priori bounds).
