Soliton-antisoliton pairs in the supersymmetric gapped phase of an interacting Majorana chain

A strongly interacting chain of Majorana fermions realizes the supersymmetric tricritical Ising phase, with supersymmetry (SUSY) extending into a symmetry-broken ordered phase adjacent to the tricritical point. Although the signatures of SUSY at the tricritical point are well understood, their behavior in the gapped phase remains less clear. Here, we address two key questions: how SUSY manifests in the gapped phase and what is the nature of the excitations in this phase. We show that, in the thermodynamic limit, a conventional SUSY diagnostic that remains finite at the tricritical point diverges immediately on the Ising side, yet decays continuously to zero deeper in the gapped phase, signaling the persistence of SUSY. Focusing on the lowest excited states in the supersymmetric gapped regime, we find that the excitations consist of soliton-antisoliton pairs separating distinct ordered regions. Each soliton binds an emergent localized Majorana mode, and together the pair forms a nonlocal Dirac fermion. The occupation of this Dirac mode distinguishes eigenstates with even and odd fermion parity.

Non-Equilibrium Critical Phenomena From Probe Brane Holography in Schr\"odinger Spacetime

We study the non-equilibrium steady-state phase transition from probe brane holography in $z=2$ Schr\"odinger spacetime. Concerning differential conductivity, a phase transition could occur in the conductor state. Considering constant current operator as the external field and the conductivity as an order parameter, we derive scaling behavior of order parameter near the critical point. We explore the critical exponents of the non-equilibrium phase transition in two different Schr\"odinger spacetimes, which originated $1)$ from supergravity, and $2)$ from AdS blackhole in the light-cone coordinates. Interestingly, we will see that even at the zero charge density, in our first geometry, the dynamical critical exponent of $z=2$ has a major effect on the critical exponents.

Effect of Randomly Distributed Asymmetric Stone-Wales Defect on Electronic and Transport Properties of Armchair Graphene Nanoribbon

By applying tight binding model, we investigate the electronic and transport properties of randomly distributed Stone-Wales (SW) defects on an armchair graphene nanoribbon (AGNR). We use four different functions, as distribution functions, to generate our SW defected nanoribbons. It is found that defect density can have a major effect on the conductance of our defected system, whilst other configurations such as defect orientation will contribute less. In our investigations. some special geometries are found, which shows interesting electronic and transport properties. These special cases along the other data provided can be used to engineer band gap, electronic properties and transport properties of graphene nanoribbons to meet the desired purpose.
