On occupation times in the red of Lévy risk models

In this paper, we obtain analytical expression for the distribution of the occupation time in the red (below level $0$) up to an (independent) exponential horizon for spectrally negative Lévy risk processes and refracted spectrally negative Lévy risk processes. This result improves the existing literature in which only the Laplace transforms are known. Due to the close connection between occupation time and many other quantities, we provide a few applications of our results including future drawdown, inverse occupation time, Parisian ruin with exponential delay, and the last time at running maximum. By a further Laplace inversion to our results, we obtain the distribution of the occupation time up to a finite time horizon for refracted Brownian motion risk process and refracted Cramér-Lundberg risk model with exponential claims.

Poissonian occupation times of spectrally negative Lévy processes with applications

In this paper, we introduce the concept of \emph{Poissonian occupation times} below level $0$ of spectrally negative Lévy processes. In this case, occupation time is accumulated only when the process is observed to be negative at arrival epochs of an independent Poisson process. Our results extend some well known continuously observed quantities involving occupation times of spectrally negative Lévy processes. As an application, we establish a link between Poissonian occupation times and insurance risk models with Parisian implementation delays.

A note on Parisian ruin under a hybrid observation scheme

In this paper, we study the concept of Parisian ruin under the hybrid observation scheme model introduced by Li et al. \cite{binetal2016}. Under this model, the process is observed at Poisson arrival times whenever the business is financially healthy and it is continuously observed when it goes below $0$. The Parisian ruin is then declared when the process stays below zero for a consecutive period of time greater than a fixed delay. We improve the result originally obtained in \cite{binetal2016} and we compute other fluctuation identities. All identities are given in terms of second-generation scale functions.

A unified approach to ruin probabilities with delays for spectrally negative Lévy processes

In this paper, we unify two popular approaches for the definition of actuarial ruin with implementation delays, also known as Parisian ruin. Our new definition of ruin includes both deterministic delays and exponentially distributed delays: ruin is declared the first time an excursion in the red zone lasts longer than an implementation delay with a deterministic and a stochastic component. For this Parisian ruin with mixed delays, we identify the joint distribution of the time of ruin and the deficit at ruin, therefore providing generalizations of many results previously obtained, such as in \cite{baurdoux_et_al_2015} and \cite{loeffenetal2017} for the case of an exponential delay and that of a deterministic delay, respectively.

Parisian ruin for a refracted Lévy process

In this paper, we investigate Parisian ruin for a Lévy surplus process with an adaptive premium rate, namely a refracted Lévy process. More general Parisian boundary-crossing problems with a deterministic implementation delay are also considered. Our main contribution is a generalization of the result in Loeffen et al. (2013) for the probability of Parisian ruin of a standard Lévy insurance risk process. Despite the more general setup considered here, our main result is as compact and has a similar structure. Examples are provided.
