Lie $n$-centralizers of von Neumann algebras

Let $\U$ be a von Neumann algebra with a projection $P\in \U$. For any $A_1,A_2,\ldots,A_n\in\U,$ define $p_1(A_1)=A_1,$ $p_n (A_1,A_2,\ldots,A_n)=[p_{n-1} (A_1,A_2,\ldots,A_{n-1}),A_n]$ for all integers $n\geq 2,$ where $[A,B]=AB-BA$ $(A,B\in\U)$ denotes the usual Lie product. Assume that $\phi:\U\to\U$ is an additive mapping satisfying \[\phi(p_n(A_1, A_2, \ldots, A_n)) = p_n(\phi(A_1), A_2, \ldots, A_n) = p_n(A_1, \phi(A_2), \ldots, A_n) \] for all $A_1, A_2, \ldots, A_n \in \U$ with $A_1A_2=P$ In this article, it is shown that the map $\phi$ is of the form $\phi(A)=WA+\xi(A)$ for all $A\in \U$, where $W\in \mathrm{Z}(\U)$, and $\xi:\U \to \Z(\U)$ ($\Z(\U)$ is the center of $\U$) is an additive map such that $\xi(p_n(A_1, A_2, \ldots, A_n) )=0$ for any $A_1, A_2, \ldots, A_n \in \U$ with $A_1A_2=P$. As an application, we characterize generalized Lie $n$-derivations on arbitrary von Neumann algebras.

Multiplicative generalized Jordan $n$-derivations of unital rings with idempotents

Let $\mathfrak{A}$ be a unital ring with a nontrivial idempotent. In this paper, it is shown that under certain conditions every multiplicative generalized Jordan $n$-derivation $\Delta:\mathfrak{A}\rightarrow\mathfrak{A}$ is additive. More precisely, it is proved that $\Delta$ is of the form $\Delta(t)=\mu t+\delta(t),$ where $\mu\in\mathcal{Z}(\mathfrak{A})$ and $\delta:\mathfrak{A}\rightarrow\mathfrak{A}$ is a Jordan $n$-derivation. The main result is then applied to some classical examples of unital rings with nontrivial idempotents such as triangular rings, matrix rings, prime rings, nest algebras, standard operator algebras, and von Neumann algebras.

Lie higher derivations of arbitrary triangular algebras

Motivated by the works of Wang [Y. Wang, \textit{Lie (Jordan) derivations of arbitrary triangular algebras,} Aequationes Mathematicae, \textbf{93} (2019), 1221-1229] and Moafian et al. [F. Moafian and H. R. Ebrahimi Vishki, \textit{Lie higher derivations on triangular algebras revisited,} Filomat, \textbf{30}(12) (2016), 3187-3194.], we shall study Lie higher derivations of arbitrary triangular algebras. In fact, it is shown that every Lie higher derivation on an arbitrary triangular algebra is proper, using the notion of maximal left (right) ring of quotients.

On skew cyclic codes over $F_q+vF_q+v^2F_q$

In the present paper, we study skew cyclic codes over the ring $F_{q}+vF_{q}+v^2F_{q}$, where $v^3=v,~q=p^m$ and $p$ is an odd prime. We investigate the structural properties of skew cyclic codes over $F_{q}+vF_{q}+v^2F_{q}$ using decomposition method. By defining a Gray map from $F_{q}+vF_{q}+v^2F_{q}$ to $F_{q}^3$, it has been proved that the Gray image of a skew cyclic code of length $n$ over $F_{q}+vF_{q}+v^2F_{q}$ is a skew $3$-quasi cyclic code of length $3n$ over $F_{q}$. Further, it is shown that the skew cyclic codes over $F_{q}+vF_{q}+v^2F_{q}$ are principally generated. Finally, the idempotent generators of skew cyclic codes over $F_{q}+vF_{q}+v^2F_{q}$ are also obtained.

$(1+2u)$-constacyclic codes over $\mathbb{Z}_4+u\mathbb{Z}_4$

Let $R=\mathbb{Z}_4+u\mathbb{Z}_4,$ where $\mathbb{Z}_4$ denotes the ring of integers modulo $4$ and $u^2=0$. In the present paper, we introduce a new Gray map from $R^n$ to $\mathbb{Z}_{4}^{2n}.$ We study $(1+2u)$-constacyclic codes over $R$ of odd lengths with the help of cyclic codes over $R$. It is proved that the Gray image of $(1+2u)$-constacyclic codes of length $n$ over $R$ are cyclic codes of length $2n$ over $\mathbb{Z}_4$. Further, a number of linear codes over $\mathbb{Z}_4$ as the images of $(1+2u)$-constacyclic codes over $R$ are obtained.
