A Short Review on Graphene-Based Filters: Perspectives and Challenges

Graphene is an interesting debated topic between scientists because of its unique properties such as tunable conductivity. Graphene conductivity can be varied by either electrostatic or magnetostatic gating or via chemical doping, which leads to design of various photonic and electronic devices. Among various graphene-based structures, plasmonic graphene filters have attracted the attention of many researchers because of their various applications in THz frequencies. There are four main types of graphene filters proposed in the literature, which are: 1- Circular filters, 2- Planar filters, 3- Periodic filters, and 4- Other types of filters (which are not categorized in any of the other three groups). This paper aims to study and investigate various types of graphene-based filters published in the literature.

Design and Fabrication of Novel Digital Transcranial Electrical Stimulator for Medical and Psychiatry Applications

In this article, we design a novel Transcranial Electrical Stimulator for medical applications, which is very cheap and can produce the desired signals very accurately. Our fabricated stimulator generates all current signals related to Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (TES) methods, i.e. Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), Transcranial Pulsed Current Stimulation (tPCS), Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES), and Microcurrent Electrical Therapy (MET). The proposed device has been constructed of an advanced digital controller which makes it tunable. One of the major advantages of the device is its ability to generate Burst pulses.

Plasmonic Graphene Waveguides: A Literature Review

Large research articles based on graphene have been published in various areas since 2007 due to its unique properties. Among these designed structures, graphene-based plasmonic waveguides are one of the interesting subjects in communications. In this paper, a historical review of plasmonic graphene waveguides is presented. The graphene-based waveguides can be divided into two main categories 1- rectangular and 2- cylindrical waveguides. In both categories, graphene can be only electrically biased or magnetically and electrically biased simultaneously where the conductivity of graphene becomes a tensor in the second case. Therefore, we have four main categories for plasmonic graphene waveguides which are studied and discussed more precisely in this paper.
