On the considerations adopted by Breidze and Traczyk towards the faithfulness of Burau representation for $n=4$

This work discusses the open problem of the faithfulness of the reduced Burau representation for $n=4$. Birman showed that in order to prove this representation is faithful, it is sufficient to find two matrices $A$ and $B$ that generate a free group of rank 2. Breidze and Traczyk proved that $A^{3}$ and $B^{3}$ generate the free group of rank 2. In our work, we show that $A^{2}$ and $B^{2}$ generate the free group of rank 2.

On The Faithfulness of the extension of Lawrence-Krammer representation of the group of conjugating automorphisms C_3

Let $C_n$ be the group of conjugating automorphisms. We study the representation $ρ$ of $C_n$, an extension of Lawrence-Krammer representation of the braid group $B_n$, defined by Valerij G. Bardakov. As Bardakov proved that the representation $ρ$ is unfaithful for $n \geq 5$, the cases $n=3,4$ remain open. In our work, we make attempts towards the faithfulness of $ρ$ in the case $n=3$.

On the irreducibility of the extensions of Burau and Gassner representations

We study the $n$th degree representations $\hat{ρ_G}$ of $Cb_{n}$ and $\hat{ρ_B}$ of $C_{n}$, defined by Valerij G. Bardakov, where $Cb_{n}$ is the group of basis conjugating automorphisms and $C_n$ is the group of conjugating automorphisms. We prove that $\hat{ρ_G}$ is reducible and its $(n-1)$th degree composition factor $\hat{ϕ_G}$ is irreducible if and only if $t_i\neq 1$ for all $1\leq i \leq n$. Also we prove that $\hat{ρ_B}$ is reducible and its $(n-1)$th degree composition factor $\hat{ϕ_B}$ is irreducible if and only if $t\neq 1$. Moreover, for $n=3$, we prove that $\hat{ϕ_G}(t_1,t_2,t_3) \otimes \hat{ϕ_G}(m_1,m_2,m_3)$ is irreducible if and only if $(t_1,t_2,t_3)$ and $(m_1,m_2,m_3)$ are distinct vectors, and the representation $\hat{ϕ_B}(t) \otimes \hat{ϕ_B}(m)$ is irreducible if and only if $t \neq m$.

Representations of the necklace braid group {NB}}_n of dimension (n=2,3,4)

We consider the irreducible representations each of dimension 2 of the necklace braid group $\mathcal{NB}_n$ ($n=2,3,4$). We then consider the tensor product of the representations of $\mathcal{NB}_n$ ($n=2,3,4$) and determine necessary and sufficient condition under which the constructed representations are irreducible. Finally, we determine conditions under which the irreducible representations of $\mathcal{NB}_n$ ($n=2,3,4$) of degree 2 are unitary relative to a hermitian positive definite matrix

On the Irreducibility of the Complex Specialization of the Representation of The Hecke Algebra of the Complex Reflection Group $G_7$

We consider a 2-dimensional representation of the Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}(G_7, u)$, where $G_7$ is the complex reflection group and $u$ is the set of indeterminates $u=(x_1, x_2, y_1, y_2, y_3, z_1, z_2, z_3)$. After specializing the indetrminates to non zero complex numbers, we then determine a necessary and sufficient condition that guarantees the irreducibility of the complex specialization of the representation of the Hecke algebra $H(G_7, u)$.
