Universal Observatory Graphs for Distributed Sky Coverage and Artificial Intelligence Based Interplanetary Routing

This research proposes the Universal Observatory Graph (UOG), an AI-driven framework for distributed astronomical observation across the Solar System. The proposed architecture models autonomous observatories located at the Sun planet L2 Lagrange points as nodes in a weighted graph, while communication links are represented as graph edges characterized by multi-objective physical and operational metrics, including interplanetary distance, communication latency, transmission power, and link reliability. The resulting graph provides a unified mathematical representation of a cooperative interplanetary observatory network. This proposal examines a six-observatory Solar System configuration comprising Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Instantaneous sky coverage is evaluated independently using a 200,000 direction Fibonacci sphere, a 2,000,000 direction fixed seed Monte Carlo calculation and deterministic spherical integration. All three methods yield complete network union coverage, approximately 0.43% complete six observatory intersection and approximately 24.96% mean pairwise Jaccard similarity under the adopted pointing model. Communication routing is subsequently formulated as a finite horizon Markov decision process and solved using tabular Q-learning. The reward balances node participation and a distance dependent reliability proxy against distance, light time latency and a distance squared transmission power proxy. The learned Earth-Saturn-Uranus-Neptune route is also the highest discounted return route among all 41 feasible simple paths under the four hop constraint. The framework provides a reproducible baseline for sequential coverage assessment and multi objective routing; time dependent ephemerides, mission specific visibility, calibrated link budgets and scalable graph policies remain future work.

Efficient ECC-based authentication scheme for fog-based IoT environment

The rapid growth of cloud computing and Internet of Things (IoT) applications faces several threats, such as latency, security, network failure, and performance. These issues are solved with the development of fog computing, which brings storage and computation closer to IoT-devices. However, there are several challenges faced by security designers, engineers, and researchers to secure this environment. To ensure the confidentiality of data that passes between the connected devices, digital signature protocols have been applied to the authentication of identities and messages. However, in the traditional method, a user's private key is directly stored on IoTs, so the private key may be disclosed under various malicious attacks. Furthermore, these methods require a lot of energy, which drains the resources of IoT-devices. A signature scheme based on the elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA) is proposed in this paper to improve the security of the private key and the time taken for key-pair generation. ECDSA security is based on the intractability of the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem (ECDLP), which allows one to use much smaller groups. Smaller group sizes directly translate into shorter signatures, which is a crucial feature in settings where communication bandwidth is limited, or data transfer consumes a large amount of energy. The efficiency and effectiveness of ECDSA in the IoT environment are validated by experimental evaluation and comparison analysis. The results indicate that, in comparison to the two-party ECDSA and RSA, the proposed ECDSA decreases computation time by 65% and 87%, respectively. Additionally, as compared to two-party ECDSA and RSA, respectively, it reduces energy consumption by 77% and 82%.

Breast Cancer Detection Using Deep Learning Technique Based On Ultrasound Image

Breast cancer ranks as the most prevalent form of cancer diagnosed in women, and diagnosis faces several challenges, a change in the size, shape and appearance of breasts, dense breast tissue, lumps or thickening in the breast especially if in only one breast, lumps and nodules in the breast. The major challenge that faces deep learning diagnosis of breast cancer was its shape, size and position non-uniformity especially malignant cancer. This work proposed a deep learning system that increased the accuracy of classification of breast cancer types from ultrasound images. It reaches 99.29% accuracy, exceeding other previous work. First, image processing was applied to in enhance the quality of input images. Second, the image segmentation was performed using U-Net architecture. Third, many features are extracted using Mobilenet. Finally, the accuracy of proposed system was evaluated.

A Neural Network Model for Construction Projects Site Overhead Cost Estimating in Egypt

Estimating of the overhead costs of building construction projects is an important task in the management of these projects. The quality of construction management depends heavily on their accurate cost estimation. Construction costs prediction is a very difficult and sophisticated task especially when using manual calculation methods. This paper uses Artificial Neural Network (ANN) approach to develop a parametric cost-estimating model for site overhead cost in Egypt. Fifty-two actual real-life cases of building projects constructed in Egypt during the seven year period 2002-2009 were used as training materials. The neural network architecture is presented for the estimation of the site overhead costs as a percentage from the total project price.
