Erratum to "Lattice constellation and codes from quadratic number fields" [IEEE Trans. Inform. Theory, vol. 47, No. 4, May. 2001]

We correct a partial mistake for a metric presented in the article "Lattice constellation and codes from quadratic number fields" [IEEE Trans. Inform. Theory, vol. 47, No. 4, May. 2001]. We show that the metric defined in the article is not true, therefore, this brings about to destroy the encoding and decoding procedures. Also, we define a proper metric for some codes defined in the article and show that there exist some $1-$error correcting perfect codes with respect to this new metric.

Quantum codes from codes over Gaussian integers with respect to the Mannheim metric

In this paper, some nonbinary quantum codes using classical codes over Gaussian integers are obtained. Also, some of our quantum codes are better than or comparable with those known before, (for instance [[8; 2; 5]]4+i).

Perfect Mannheim, Lipschitz and Hurwitz weight codes

In this paper, upper bounds on codes over Gaussian integers, Lipschitz integers and Hurwitz integers with respect to Mannheim metric, Lipschitz and Hurwitz metric are given.

Codes over Hurwitz integers

In this study, we obtain new classes of linear codes over Hurwitz integers equipped with a new metric. We refer to the metric as Hurwitz metric. The codes with respect to Hurwitz metric use in coded modu- lation schemes based on quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM)-type constellations, for which neither Hamming metric nor Lee metric. Also, we define decoding algorithms for these codes when up to two coordinates of a transmitted code vector are effected by error of arbitrary Hurwitz weight.
