Evolution of shifted cosmological parameter and shifted dust matter in a two-phase tachyonic field universe

We propose a model of the evolution of the tachyonic scalar field over two phases in the universe. The field components do not interact in phase I, while in the subsequent phase II, they change flavours due to relative suppression of the radiation contribution. In phase II, we allow them to interact mutually with time-independent perturbation in their equations of state, as Shifted Cosmological Parameter (SCP) and Shifted Dust Matter (SDM). We determine the solutions of their scaling with the cosmic redshift in both phases. We further suggest the normalized Hubble function diagnostic, which, together with the low- and high-redshift $H(z)$ data and the concordance values of the present density parameters from the CMBR, BAO statistics etc., constrains the strength of interaction, by imposing the viable conditions to break degeneracy in 3-parameter $(γ, \varepsilon, \dotϕ^2)$ space. The range of redshifts $(z=0.1$ to $z=1.75)$ is chosen to highlight the role of interaction during structure formation, and it may lead to a future analysis of power spectrum in this model \emph{vis a vis} Warm Dark Matter (WDM) or $Λ$CDM models. We further calculate the influence of interaction in determining the age of the universe at the present epoch, within the degeneracy space of model parameters.

A tachyonic scalar field with mutually interacting components

We investigate the tachyonic cosmological potential $V(ϕ)$ in two different cases of the quasi-exponential expansion of universe and discuss various forms of interaction between the two components---matter and the cosmological constant--- of the tachyonic scalar field, which leads to the viable solutions of their respective energy densities. The distinction among the interaction forms is shown to appear in the $O_{m}(x)$ diagnostic. Further, the role of the high- and low-redshift observations of the Hubble parameter is discussed to determine the proportionality constants and hence the correct form of matter--cosmological constant interaction.

The Interacting and Non-constant Cosmological Constant

We propose a time-varying cosmological constant with a fixed equation of state, which evolves mainly through its interaction with the background during most of the long history of the universe. However, such interaction does not exist in the very early and the late-time universe and produces the acceleration during these eras when it becomes very nearly a constant. It is found that after the initial inflationary phase, the cosmological constant, that we call as lambda parameter, rolls down from a large constant value to another but very small constant value and further dominates the present epoch showing up in form of the dark energy driving the acceleration.

Avoidance of Singularity and Global Non-Conservation of Energy in General Relativity

We show that the singularity in the General Theory of Relativity (GTR) is the expression of a non-Machian feature. It can be avoided with a scale-invariant dynamical theory, a property lacking in GTR. It is further argued that the global non-conservation of energy in GTR also results from the lack of scale-invariance and the field formulation presented by several authors can only resolve the problem in part. Assuming the global energy conservation, we propose a negative energy density component with positive equation of state that can drive the late-time acceleration in the universe, while the positive component confines to smaller scales.
